Ron, I absolutely love the Dagobah Training dio. You have always been one of my favorite diorama builders and it's always a pleasure to marvel at your work.

Hi All,

I've had this sitting on the bench for a while now and between my 3-3/4" Centurions Power X-Treme build I'm doing I figured I would show you some WIP shots of the new AT-ST that I have been working on and will be used for my new Desert dio I'm doing.

As you can see I have used various 1/35, 1/72 parts and plasticard to to cover holes and add extra's, I also used 1/6 weapon parts to make new weapons. I have also been experimenting using plasticine to feel in gaps and joints and see so far it has been working out brillantly.

I have found especially that 90% of my work is diorama base/static and that they are for show only the plasticine works amazingly well once superglue is applied over the top. The plasticine doesn't split or crack and once the superglue has dried you can apply other materials to that without any problems.

Oh wow, is this going to be a follow up on that amazing Tatooine Patrol dio you made a few years ago?

Very nice. Cant wait to see how this comes out. Very smooth....weird, thats what comes to mind...?!? Hope that makes sence.

anyhoot. got a question. I'm getting ready to start on my own AT-ST. (Part of my Post Apocalyptic Walker line I'm doing. Have pics of my AT-RT up and just finished my AT-AP. Will have pics up soon)  Same Kmart bluelight special. But I'm having a heck of a time getting it to stay up. With all the new articulation, some of which seems to be very loose, his head wont stay up. Have you encountered this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? I don't want to glue the joints. How can I then make him look at the Ewok stuck between his toes if I glue the joint? Plus all the added weight of the stuff I'm planning to add will surely make it topple.

 Thanks for any suggestions. Sharky.

Thanks mate and it make sence. For your top heavy problem try adding weight into the bottom of the feet and then seal the bottom of the feet with plasticard.  For the joints you could use small screws to tighten the joints or even some suerglue in the joints and move the joints around till the superglue dries this will tighten the joints without sticking them together.

Yes my friend, it has been too long since you visited my favorite environment, but I know what happens when you like a particular planet the best!

I still treasure my custom Driver Heavy Gunner as among my favorite items in my collection. Heaven help me if you make another 12 incher along those lines too.

I still have some Snowtroopers lying around so I will have to make one soon I think,  I'm still stoked that you love the AT-AT gunner after all this time and if I build another 12 incher along the same lines you'll be the first to know. Thanks also for locking the SOLD sandtroopers in the SW sales.

Cheers mate and yeah on last count nearly 100 paints and the paint holders come in handy that is for sure.
