Ron, it's so good to see you back around! I was in Egypt a couple weeks ago. Thought about going to Luxor. It's supposed to be well worth it, but crowded. And I was suspicious to leave the hotel area anyways - lots of tourist traps once you step out of the guarded area.

I found a postcard for my neighbors. The image of a restored temple was good enough to sell it to me. Later I recognized that it was a CGI. And I tell you what, your diorama looks a thousand times better than what they sold to me.

Looking at your model fills me with great joy and sure does replace a trip to the real deal.
Just A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!

Thanks for sharing & I wish you a great day in Australia! One more continent I haven't been to, yet.

Hey DM, thanks so much buddy and damn I would love to visit Egypt the inspiration there would be mind blowing.

Freaking sweet Ron. Looks like you plucked it right off the screen.

Off to share.

Thanks so much Shawn.

That's amazing Ron. It looks like a real film set. Those printed pillars are pretty great, I hope they weren't too expensive. All around beautiful work.

Thanks so much Jeff and no they are $60aus and that is two damaged pillars and some rubble so a great deal.

Ron

Hi All,

German 88mm, Flak 36 - 1:18 scale.

Recipe.

88mm - is from Merit and built straight out of the box and the crates were made using balsa wood and everything was painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks.

Thanks so much Shawn and it could be used in North Africa or anywhere in the late war as the Germans used Dark Yellow as their main colour by then.

Hi All,

Fallout US army T-45 Power armour with workstation 1:12 scale.

Recipe.

Armour/work station - are from Budget3DWorks https://www.instagram.com/d.s.prints and they were printed for my by SyndiacteCustoms https://syndicatecustoms.com.au/ .

The tool box and some tools/battery/oil can/bottle/extinguisher/supports and welding cylinders and trolley are from an old 1:12 Tamiya kit and the rest are 3D printed. The crates are made using balsa wood and the decals on the crates and T-45 armour are from a 1:35 Tamiya APC kit.

Base - is cut out from some blue foam and the floor is balsa wood and the dirt is a mix of sand/mulch/spakfilla and once dry was painted and the grass tufts are from Army Painter.

Ron, that is super cool! Those 3D prints are very nice. Great job assembling the different elements of the diorama, it really fits the expectation of a mechanic's workzone. The paint job on this is fantastic. I particularly love the harness rig, it looks brilliant. I like how you did the wood floor and ground elements. Really nice composition. Great to see something new from you, too ;D
