Daggone Ron this is another beautiful one. Your stuff just looks some lifelike. I mean I expect to see it move.

Off to share.

Thanks so much Shawn that means a lot.

This looks great! I like how the plants turned out and the vines look really good on the column. The croc is amazing; great paint work and the bloody back is impressive. Great job all around.

Thanks so much Jeff I really appreciate the kind words.

Ron

Hi All,

Indiana Jones and the lost Tomb, 1:12 scale.

Recipe.

Figures - both figures are from Hasbro's Indiana Jones Adventure Series, and I glued and puttied up the joints and painted and weathered both figures using Vallejo paints and pastel chalks and the torch was made using balsa wood, string and the flame part from the Professor Jones figure.

Base - is made using foam and I used balsa wood to cover it to make it look like a crate. The sarcophagus is from an old 1:6 GI Joe figure and the base is made from foam.
The columns are from Inprint condition and printed by Syndicate Customs, the Anubis statue I got off thingiverse and Syndicate Customs resized it and printed it off for me.
I had to add snakes to the Dio 🙂 and they are from eBay, and I repainted them using Vallejo paints and the sand is fine river sand applied in several layers.

Ron, it's so good to see you back around! I was in Egypt a couple weeks ago. Thought about going to Luxor. It's supposed to be well worth it, but crowded. And I was suspicious to leave the hotel area anyways - lots of tourist traps once you step out of the guarded area.

I found a postcard for my neighbors. The image of a restored temple was good enough to sell it to me. Later I recognized that it was a CGI. And I tell you what, your diorama looks a thousand times better than what they sold to me.

Looking at your model fills me with great joy and sure does replace a trip to the real deal.
Just A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!

Thanks for sharing & I wish you a great day in Australia! One more continent I haven't been to, yet.

That's amazing Ron. It looks like a real film set. Those printed pillars are pretty great, I hope they weren't too expensive. All around beautiful work.
