Hi All,

Glaive Mech and Pilot, 28mm.

Recipe.

Mech/Pilot - are from Skullforge and are resin kits, link below and I painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and the decals from Hasegawa Maschinen Krieger kits. https://skullforgestudios.gumroad.com/

Base - is high density foam cut to shape and the groundwork is a mix of mulch/sand/dirt, and the grass tufts are from Gamers Grass and the bushes are from Woodland Scenics.

I really like the paint job on that mech! Its brilliant. Lots of great detail. The ground looks great too, I like how the front corner is so uneven, if gives a sense of realism.

Hey Shawn, I'd say they are working on some sought of mech but I'd say they are doing exo suits more and thanks heaps buddy glad you like it.

Beautiful mech, Ron. I love the look of the pilot.

Thanks heaps Clint and yeah the pilot's details are excellent and there are also pilots running which kind of reminds me of Titan Fall.

Hi All,

Medieval Knight, Livonian Order. 1:35 scale.

Recipe.

Knight - I got it from Myminifactory as a resin STL file and it is 28mm and I resized it to 1:35 scale and link is below, and I painted and weathered him using Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks. I'm still learning how to add supports so when I removed them from the helmet, I left two little dents so I got a model knife and made them into damaged sections. https://www.myminifactory.com/.../Northern%20Crusades...

Base - is an old Star Wars Bandai figure base and I added balsa wood on the sides. The dirt is a mix of real dirt/sand/blended mulch mixed with dark brown paint then painted and weathered. The rocks were done using kitty litter and the grass tufts are from Gamers Grass.

That's really nice Ron! Not too many people are familiar with the Livonian order - I always loved the cross and sword on their shield - so its really cool that you did one. Nice print - what's a knight without a dent or two? - seriously, it's easy to leave pocks when peeling away supports. The paint job is great and the stand really makes it come to life.

Hey Jeff, Thanks heaps mate and I've only started reading about them in the last two weeks and find in very interesting and when I was going thru the figure files I saw the shield and straight away purchased it.

I'm really loving the 3D printer and the supports were medium and spoke to a friend and he told me to use small and see how that goes, so finger crossed I won't have any more issues.

Cool about your new "discovery" of the Livonian Order. I've had historical interest in the Crusading Orders since I was a child, after reading Ivanhoe (I think), so its an area of interest for me. I'm always happy when someone else gets a little fascinated by these groups.

Also, I asked my son about supports - he has printed a lot of 28mm figures on his printers (he's got two different resin printers). He customizes all his supports. He said that he has found most .stl files are over supported and he would rather two smaller supports in place of one larger to solve exactly the "pocking" issue you are dealin with. Anyway, thought I'd let him "chime in."

Hi All,

Indy with gold idol and base 6" scale.

Recipe.

Indy - is a repainted 6" figure from the new Hasbro line and I used Vallejo Paints and pastels to paint and weather him and the gold comes with the figure but there is no hair detail on the back so I used a model knife and added the hair.

idol base - is printed by https://syndicatecustoms.com.au/ and I painted and weathered is using Vallejo paints and pastel chalks and the foliage is from Model Scene and I just pulled apart what I needed and glued it in place.
