Ron, I really like that! I'm a fan of the JEEP and this SAS one is spectacular. I appreciate that you switched the jerry can handles to three rather than two, as I believe that is what I have seen on actual WWII pictures - that's outstanding attention to detail. Great job.

Thanks so much Jeff and yeah the jeep(SAS) is the only allied vehicle I actually like and like making and the kit is over 20yrs old so they only use to make two handles and you are correct all jerry cans back in WW2 were three handles.

Hi All,

Roswell, New Mexico -1947.

Recipe.

UFO/Alien - are from Pegasus Models and is a 1:32 scale kit and I built the UFO straight out of the box and cracked the canopy and added lights using cheap Xma's lights from a two dollar store.

Base - is made using high density foam and the groundwork is a mix of Spak Filla/sand and the rocks were done using kitty litter and the grass tufts are from Army Painter, the destroyed sign was using balsa wood and a print from the printer.

I love that! The weathering on the balsa wood sign is fantastic. The "landscaping" is brilliant as usual. How did you crack the dome? Did you tap it with a hammer?

Thanks heaps Jeff and the weathering on the balsa wood was done using Games Workshops Agrax Earthshade and the dome I used a pair of model snippers and then a model knife to make the cracking glass sections.

Hi All,

First build for 2023 and hopefully many more to come.

I have a few of the old Disney 7" Indy figures so I decided to start using them in dioramas. This one depicts Indy on an actual paid dig by the university.

Indiana Jones 7" scale.

Recipe.

Figure - is from Disney and is 7" in scale and I got him into a pose I liked and glued and covered the joints and painted and weathered him using Vallejo Paints.

Diorama - the main part of the base was built using foam board and then I used high density foam and cut out all the individual stones and glued them into place. Once the stones were all dry, I then used watered down Spak Filla and dapped it over the stones to give them a more realistic look.

The soil/dirt was done using a mix of Spak Filla/sand/dirt and then applied it the areas and once dry I gave it a wash of Vallejo's Chocolate Brown and the vegetation is grass tuft and shrubs from Army Painter.

The relics/pots/skulls I got off Thingiverse and I resized them from 28mm to 7" scale using my 3D printer. The table/crate/lowering hoist are made from balsa wood and the rope is just some string I have had in my parts box.

The flames/torches/ where made using balsa wood and Woodland scenics Water Effects and the lantern was made using scraps from the parts box and I then added LED's to them.

Daggone Ron how a movie company hasn't offered you a six figure job yet doing things like this is beyond me. Freaking sweet man!

I know what is going to be at the top of our pages today. Wow!
