Hey Ron, loving  those Thunderbirds diorama pieces. The Velociraptor custom turned out absolutely brilliant though. Kudos on another masterful job.

Not sure where my comments went again, but I did get this on the front page. Uncle of the year material for sure!

Yeah I replied to your comment and it's gone weird and thanks heaps Shawn.

Cheers buddy and I have ditched the 12" TB2 cockpit dio and redoing it has I wasn't happy with the way it was turning out.

Hi All,

Thunderbirds - The Mole

Recipe

The Mole - is an old IMAI kit and I built it straight from the box but left the little wheels off as it was originally designed to roll across the floor.

I painted and weathered The Mole using Vallejo and Army painter paints and pastel chalks.

Base - is a piece of foam board and the ground work was done using a mix of sand 40% and spakfilla 60% and mixed it and then applied it to the base.

For the debri I used palstic card and plastic rod for the metal debri and kitty litter for the cement rubble and I used Vallejo paints and pastel chalks to paint and weather the ground work and debri.

Hi All,

Thunderbird 5 - Roughly 1:1000 scale

Recipe

TB5 - is a kit that comes with TB3 and is an older kit which was made by IMAI and I decided to build it seperate and TB5 was built straight out of the box and was painted using Vallejo Paints.

I used the decals that came with the kit and for an older kit the decals a still very good and went on without any effort.

Base - also comes with the kit and it was painted using Vallejo and Army Painter Paints and the clouds are pieces of cotton wool.

Hi All,

Thunderbird 3 - Roughly 1:1000 scale

Recipe

TB3 - is a kit that comes with TB5 and is an older kit which was made by IMAI and I decided to build it seperate and TB3 was built straight out of the box and was painted using Vallejo Paints.

I used the decals that came with the kit and for an older kit the decals a still very good and went on without any effort.

Base - also comes with the kit and it was painted and drybrushed using Vallejo and Army Painter Paints. TB3 is held up with a metal rod which was bent and then thinner wire was used to secure inside the rockets and once glued I used cotton wool for the smoke.
