Hi All,

LT Hikaru Sulu 1:12 scale with 2 in 1 dio.

Recipe

Sulu - is from Mezco and I completely repainted him using Vallejo Paints and the cloth goods were left alone.

Base - is done using foam board and I used thin plastic strips and painted them for the wall seperation. The sign I just typed in on the computer and printed it off.

The door is made from cardboard and the piece of eqiupment mounted on the wall was made using plastic and a 1/72 scale WW2 German tank wheel.

The other side of the diorama was done by printing a piece of terrain I liked and printing it on A grade paper and then marking it out and gluing on with PVA glue.

The ground work was done using a 50/50 mix of spakfilla/sand and once dry painting with different shades of sand and the grass tufts are from Army Builder.

Hey Philipp, thanks heaps buddy and being retired from Army due to an injury allows me to pump more out. If I was working this dio would have taken 3-4 days and a total of 6-8hrs but now I can do it in 1-2 days and a total of 3hrs so it sure doe's have it advantages.

Hi All,

I have started on another 2 in 1 dio for my Mezco Trek figures.

Seeing Mezco aren't doing a Dr McCoy figure anymore I made my own using a Spock body and the head from Art Asylums original trek figures.

I repainted the head and hands using Vallejo and Army Painter paints. The vile is a piece of clear plastic with the ends painted and his left hand pinky ring was made using plastic card.

I matched the paint colour to the uniform and painted out the top of Spock's rank to match McCoy's rank.

The base so far is done using thick foam board and one side will be a partial display of McCoy's office and the chair was 3D by a mate which still needs to be sanded and painted.

The other side of the dio so far was done by finding a suitable backdrop and printing it off and all I need to do now is do teh ground work.
