Wow, you have some awesome customs, I am so jealous! My personal favorites from your collection are: Dengar, Imperial Trooper Jedi hunter, Baron Fel, and your Count Dooku, I definitely want one like that someday! Is Dooku just a repaint, or did you add in some better articulation (as it looks like)? On your Dengar figure, I think the figure looks perfect, but the base seems a bit unfitting for such a cool figure... For some reason, I think some nice rocks and a little bigger base footprint would look really cool, especially if he had one leg up on a slightly higher rock like he's sneaking around hunting his next Han Solo look-alike bounty! But that's jut my thought Great figures, keep up the good work!
man, your work is astounding. That is all TRUE art, on the level of ice scupture and painting murals on brick all on a smaller scale. Some of them its hard to tell they started "life" as toys.
brilliant!
I like the recon trooper
Ron, long time fan of your work. Glad to see you at the Yards.
Your custom figures are awesome
Tamer - mate I have had an offer by someone already which I rely to but still no answer back, If I don't get and answer back by 26th Dec I will PM you.
Well maybe Christmas will come one day late for me then. Here's to hoping someone doesn't reply back!
Hi All
Tamer wroteQuoteWell maybe Christmas will come one day late for me then. Here's to hoping someone doesn't reply back!
Sorry mate he must of heard you he payed for it yesterday. I am tied down at the moment with commissions till late march but after that I'm free so give me a bell and will have a chat.
Ron
Well good, I am glad my little message may have had something to do with you getting paid. That was one sweet dio and figure. I would love to have one like this and hope you can pencil me in for March. Thank you for letting me talk with you about it then.
Merry Christmas Ron
Hi AllGreat figure! I really like it!
New to this forum and just thought that I would show you all the figure's that I have done over the years, some of you know my work already but for those that haven't enjoy and comments are always welcomed.
I have added a link as there are alot of pics so I figured that this would be the best way for you all to see them.

Ron
Hi All
Cheers guys and enough of the teasing I have added the colour pics for you all to enjoy.
Ron
Ron this just screams Red Dawn to me. I loved that movie.
Needless to say the rest of my comments are on the front page.
Blimey, that was a cool film....deadly serious at the time...
.... but wanted to say that I could look at your customs all day long.
Tamer don't worry buddy teh 1/6 version is still available ;) ;)
Ron
wooah amazing pic man!
Wow. You are really showing us the customizing potential in the new six inch line. Off to share. Looks great Ron.
Sweet! he looks Spectacular!
Hey is that a Cloud car pilot helmet for the mouth covering? good thinking!
Amazing work, simply amazing. I love the concept, but your execution and use of smaller bits is most impressive! I love the fact that you got a cloud car pilot helmet incorporated as a breath mask...very creative. I'm becoming very interested in customizing these 6" figs, but don't know if I can keep up in price without needing to sell a few along the way How do you do it?
Ron ... I really enjoy seeing your work and how you put it together and again you do not disappoint ! the sand trooper is perfect. I am sure you must be loving this 6 inch line lol.... all the best Art
that looks great! My only critique would be to lower the backpack to a more movie accurate location, the figure by default has the backpack mounted too high on the back, I assume it's for a future release of a dewback but it's just too high for screen accuracy
Looks good to me. I do like it when you fill in the joints and give it a great paint scheme. Off to share.
Ron, you really do nail these little vignettes. What's great about this guy is the minor modifications that really make his sculpt shine, and of course your hyper-realistic base work. Always a pleasure to see what you're making.
Stunning work once again Ron!
Wow, what another great work of art in the six inch scale you have created using that Sandtrooper as a base. I can only wonder what new six inch goodness you will show us as we get more Black Series six inch figures. Bravo Ron. Off to share.
Ron. I have been loving your projects this year. Sorry I haven't commented as often as I used to do. I used to comment all the time on forums from my cell phone because I'm always on the road, but with my new phone, the browser always crashes whenever I try to comment in a forum. As a result my participation in forums has dropped significantly. I have been watching and admiring though! Your art is as awesome as ever. I'd love to do a figure swap one day!
Another great looking scene mate! Love the subject matter and the paint work and weathering are phenominal!
Another grand slam Ron!!! I to cant wait to see what is next from you !!! all the best Art
looks great, and I love that you lowered the pack and DIDNT paint the pauldron gray, just great looking work!
Very cool as usual! The original OT Dewback rider has the white pauldron so this looks excellent! BTW can you have him with his helmet on? Like the screen used Sandtroopers?
Another stunning piece of work. I love visiting this forum, but especially when I know we're in the midst of a "Ron-a-thon" of customizing!
If you have time, I was wondering if I could ask: I'm planning on constructing some basic dios for my 3.75" figs sometime in the coming year and was curious as to whether you'd recommend wall spackle or plaster of Paris as the material for building walls, etc.
Thanks! Looking forward to the next piece of awesome you have in store for us...
Just awesome work Ron. Off to share.
Excellent !! Much better . I have to say i had no interest in collecting the 6 inch line but somehow they are starting to grow on me , and after seeing your update ... well i may have to start working alot of overtime lol again great work .....Art
wow, night and day huh?
how long did it take you to paint it up?
thats some pretty work, Ron. Yours looks like a sideshow item now. Love the before and after shot.
I've always said the paint on the 6'' line was its weak point and that the human figures just looked boyish. But Wow! If Hasbro painted it's figures like this I'd be very excited. This looks like a NECA figure!
AWESOME work Ron.... ;D
That's what I call a perfect repaint.
I wish Hasbro could make this quality.
Great job on that Han Solo figure!!! Looks so much better!
I tried to find them on here, but couldn't locate them.
Nice work Ron! Your 6" work looks awesome as usual! Just wanted to say that I love, love, LOVE your recent Indiana Jones dioramas. I tried to find them on here, but couldn't locate them. Just beautiful!
I tried to find them on here, but couldn't locate them.
Here you go.
http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/index.php?topic=1865.0
The painted up Han looks older. lol. Anyways he looks great. Have you been able to find these 6" figures down under or are you getting 'em online?
That is such a beautiful repaint Ron!
Nice one, there's no even a mark of the joint beetwen the members you linked together. did you repaint greedo from head to feet ?
I like the way you reused others scale figures part.
Wow, very nice. More comments on the front page Ron and I mean em!
Simply amazing Ron. Your dio work always blows me away.
Ron outstanding as always ! fantastic paint job as well as getting rid of the joints if i didnt read that it was from the 6 inch line i would have been asking what greedo figure did you use ! excellent work .... Art
Another masterpiece. Your work is inspiring. ;)
Fantastic, Ron! A one of a kind display piece.
...great as usual... ;)
Sweet work! Love the water effect
I love how you fill in the joints once you achieve the pose you want. it makes it look so much more realistic.
Great work! I agree with Tamer, it does look more realistic. Awesome.
How do you come up with all these scenarios?
Great work Ron!
The figure looks very realistic.
Tissue paper mache' for texture. Genius!
Another beautiful piece!
Your repaints are nice, but what really grabs my attention are those bases - I'd love to make one myself.
Wow, I see you got this done already. looks great. Time to go share this with your other story.
Really like weAthering on 3PO! Alway a pleasure looking at your work, thanks for sharing!
Awesome I really like those Bandai models/figures especially that C-3PO very nice and good job making him even better.
Stellar work on that Bandai C-3PO !
Top notch work again!!!
I really love how your work comes out. Awesome.
Just awesome!!
He turned out good, Ron.
Very cool variation!! The possibilities are endless with these astro droid kits. I'm glad your getting around better!
Love it, another set knocked out the park.
Stunning work on that R6 droid !
Really amazing job on the droids Ron, especially given your health challenges. The weathering/wear-and-tear on R6 looks authentic. Hope your recovery continues to go well, and I look forward to seeing more work.
I quickly glanced at this yesterday, but made some time for the front page this morning. Gorgeous Ron. Glad to see your surgery turned out ok too?
That is awesome. Do you repaint his whites?
I'm curious, because I have some troopers I'm going to be customizing, and would like to re-paint the white so it looks more like real glossy white, and not the hasbro cheap whites. I like how the SideShow trooper whites look, probably the closest to real trooper white.
The new trooper is shaping up nicely!

Cheers Mate and I do repaint my Troopers but I paint them so their armour is more dulled due to battle etc. The only Troopers I didn't repaint the armour was the Han Solo in Stormtrooper gear and the Space Trooper as Bandai did an amazing job on the gloss armour.
If you want the gloss armour look on the BS 6" Troopers try using a gloss spray and then paint the black areas.
Ron
Is it a spray paint you use, or straight up brushed on? Also, what white paint do you use? I might run out and get what you use, since it looks incredible.
Nice Ron, very nice. Off to share with what little time I have this morning.
Awesome figure!! Really like the add on equipment. The base looks great too!!
very cool
Great work mate!
This sure looks good on the front page Ron.
Everytime I look at your figures and dioramas, it reminds me how much I still need to step up my game. I hope I can make pieces as beautiful as yours one day!
As always Hemble, a superb job done on your latest trooper ()rr
Your I.M.P.S. trooper and dio looks great. I really like how those spats turned out.
Everytime I look at your figures and dioramas, it reminds me how much I still need to step up my game. I hope I can make pieces as beautiful as yours one day!

Agreed. His figures and dios are incredible. It just brings the figures to life.
Looks great, the weathering adds a lot.
That has to be the first legit first order stormtrooper I've seen.
Hats off to you.
Wow, what can I say other than off to share. I can't wait to see what you do with some of the other offerings too. Wow.
I haven't commented on your thread recently. That's only because I don't want to seem like a stalker. I look at all your posts. ????????
If you haven't started on the second figure yet, could you post a side by side of your Chewie and the original. I want to see exactly how you highlighted his pelt.
Thanks
Sweet, man that looks good. Off to share Ron!
Your Chewbacca and dio look really great!
Wow, so much better than my stock one. So much better.
I was glad to see this show up on our Facebook Page too. I promptly pinned that one to the top today.
As always Ron, thank you for sharing your work with us. I wish I put you on permanent retainer. Off to share.
Love it Ron. Man, if I lived anywhere near you your wife would be throwing me out of your house cause I just watch work like this for hours. Magic man! Off to share all over the land and the interwebs!
Looks great Ron. Time to go share.
Yet another home run! The bike looks great as does the scout. Do you use you use airbrush? I always assumed but never asked.
Your paint looks great! I thought I was one of the only few that uses the good 'ol brush. Airbrush seems too high maintenance for me.Yet another home run! The bike looks great as does the scout. Do you use you use airbrush? I always assumed but never asked.
Cheers buddy, I have never used an air brush it's always brushes except for larger things like the Partial Falcon 1/12 and some 3-3/4" vehicles and once I do Air brush or Spray can I use brushes to weather and add the details.
Ron

I was gonna preview this for the new year, but Darth Strife got me to wanting to showcase this earlier.
Every Wednesday I am gonna showcase one of my favorite customizers on my top 12 list (I am gonna do one per month the first week of the month). This is my January Feature (I will run it again a little bit more in depth) and I will showcase more work I have liked over the years and create a separate forum section for it. Till then this is what hit our fp today. Make sure you go like his Facebook Page folks!

The chipped paint looks very realistic.
I'm curios to see the finished base.
I agree it looks pretty nice. Off to share.
Great looking trooper! I like the sheen on it, sort of a semi gloss. Thanks for the chipping tips I can use that advice on my next paint job.
Hats off!
From the cloth joint covers to the base - everything looks perfect.
It looks fantastic Ron. As is your usual turn. Man, I can't even imagine seeing all your dio goodness in one place at one time. Do you display these works? Or do you have to set some of them away? Your creations make one heck of a collection centerpiece. Off to share.
Gorgeous! It looks even better on the front pages.
I can't wait to see your house built and some dedicated cabinets. I hope you do full glass doors as you don't want to hide that stuff at all. Man, such nice stuff on those shelves. And all of it yours in some way shape or form.
Awesome....any links to good sources for putting dios together?
Wow Hemble! Your custom figure dios look great on those shelves.
Amazing & quality work,mate! [at1]
Brilliant work, saw the most recent Skeleton Stormtrooper your working on.. great idea!
The Shadow trooper turned out really well! I also like the skeleton trooper ;)
that scout trooper in scuba gear really catches my eye, a great idea
Ah man, this is looking awesome!
I also love your cabinets with your figures in, they look fantastic!
Latest project on the front page. Looking good Ron.
Me like.
Looks good to me Ron. Running late this morning, but had to get this posted!
He's looking really good so far. Waiting to see the final product.
If ever I was to actually start collecting, this would be the type of work I would showcase! Such inspiring pieces all around. I always love seeing your dios/base work and the weathering that is always just right. Pure magic!
The bases for these figures look great and the paint apps are outstanding. You never cease to amaze.
Looks good to me Ron. Off to share.
Ron, Like I Have said a thousand times before you never cease to amaze. More comments on the front pages.
Awesome. I always dig your work.
How do you do tufts of grass? I have pre-made, and then sometimes I carefully glue them with delicate finger handling. I've seen the railroad guys using a method of electricity and magnetism to get large areas of grass to stick straight up to get a more realistic look. I haven't tried that method yet, as I haven't tried replicating a grasslands and meadow.
My comments are on the front pages and I mean em Ron!
Sounds good to me, but I would just love to spend an hour in your studio watching what you do. You make it look so effortless.
Nice job on these troopers! Excellent attention to detail as always. The stormtrooper doll is a fabulous extra detail.
Its like a puzzle to put together the entire story. I like it. Off to share.
This is a great idea. I cant wait to see how it looks finished.
So is it a "compound diorama" or "interchangeable figure stand" or both? : ) I really like the idea. It will be cool to see the finished product.
Hi All,So is it a "compound diorama" or "interchangeable figure stand" or both? : ) I really like the idea. It will be cool to see the finished product.
Cheers mate and it will only be a changeable base but it could be done for interchangeable figures as well.
Ron

I'm okay to go with "interchangeable bases for figures" or I.B.F.s - alright, maybe I'm having too much fun joking around about names, I'll stop now. :-) I really like the concept a lot; it's a great idea.
Looking great! I like the broken plaster revealing the brick, thats cool.
That is awesome! The costume looks very authentic. Im sure your client will love it.
Looks great to me. Off to share.
Absolutely fantastic! The body sculpt is excellent. The head works really well, I think that the coloring looks good.
Looks fabulous! The soldering iron for the saber effects was a stroke of genius!
Awesome dio! I agree the lightsaber marks look really cool.
You made another fantastic creation! Sorry it has taken me so long to feature it! Really cool Ron.
That's super cool.
I should have elaborated, that's one of the best Marek customs I've seen.
Sorry its taken me long to reply on this , as i am playing catch up . This is another fantastic piece and i to am really likeing the saber effect on the armor . Plus i really like Galen's outfit... fantastic
Nice touch, like the added details with the stormtrooper casualties laying on the ground
Great job again Ron. I was wondering what happened to you WIP of 6 inch Luke in Hoth pilot suit?
Very cool Ron! I need to get one of those kits. I like the Sandtrooper treatment. Great work as always.
Very nice Ron. Off to share.
Excellent as always
Wow, awesome project. I so hope Hasbro releases this one in six inch scale now that Rex is out. Off to share.
A true work of art.
The figure is incredibly detailed and the mini dio with the reinforced concrete wall is the icing on the cake.
Excellent work my friend!
Sweet, you are the master!
Dang, love your work. You transform figures into art.
Nice, I almost missed this this morning. Its not showing me all the unread posts. Gonna have to research that one. Anyhew, nice project.
Off to the front pages.

Tremendous job on Fett!
Just spot on Ron. That will sure look cool in a display.

No doubt your friend is pretty stoked with how this turned out!
Wow that is impressive paint work. I couldn't imagine what it would look like if I tried. Like humpty dumpty.
Thanks so much JD and don't sell yourself short buddy your paint apps a great.
Ron
Very realistic paintwork. I really like the Sith eyes.
Excellent work.
Wow, Ron that face turned out beautifully - well, I'm not sure that's the best choice of words:) Its a masterpeice!
Amazing work!
Talk about one cool project. I wondered how it looked. Man, this is fantastic. The eyes are so piercing! Nice work Ron.Thanks so much Shawn and I was absolutely stoked with the way he turned out and especially the eye's.
Off to the front pages.
That’s something else, Ron. Wow!Thanks so much Clint.
That is so cool! It looks great all set up. You should be really proud of that piece.
A man with the skills of yours & a 3D printer makes the ultimate Forge of unlimited Creativity!
So I guess battle damaged Vader kicks of your series of your epic digital explorations.
THIS is where the fun begins! 0/ Cannot wait to see what's coming next!
Wow, pretty cool you got them to enlarge this for you. Man it looks great Ron.
Off to share on the front pages.
Its so cool that they sized him up. Fabulous work on the paint job, he looks outstanding!
The paint job and the weathering on the damaged Darth Vader looks perfect.
I can't wait to see the Mandalorian - Boba Fett diorama.
Excellent work.
Hey Ron, sorry your image here in the thread got "disappeared" but I really like the remnant Stormtrooper. The soft goods are really outstanding and make the trooper really unique. Great job!
Nice job on the remnant Stormtrooper! The shade of blue looks spot on also for the 501st Legion!
Weathering and highlights on the armour look awesome, I like the overall dull finish you gave him.
Thanks for sharing, good to see you back, Ron!
Thanks for resposting this Ron.
It definitely got on our front pages.
I will go fix the links to reflect this new posting.
That stormy looks like he's seen a lot of combat in his days. ()rr Great work on this!
Daggone that is nice Ron.
Back to the front pages.
That's awesome! I like the soft goods, bandolier and sling. That's what's cool about Remnants, I guess depending on the commander they'd be pretty laxed about regulation.
Those are great troopers! The soft goods are exceptional. I like how you have modified the first rifle as well. Not sure how I missed the first guy on this page, but both troopers are fantastic.
Your stuff is always so much fun to look at. Like everyone else said the soft goods are great, the dio pieces are always so well done.
Museum quality pieces as always! Love all the different styles each remnant trooper has. ()rr
I really like your Remnant Stormtroopers.
The fabric parts, the weapons and all the small equipment parts look amazing.
Excellent work as always.
Another magic project Ron. I can hear him roaring now.
Off to share on the front pages.
Looks tough as nails to me. Awesome Ron.
Off to share on the front pages.
You can tell this guy was heavily inspired by the ARC troopers of old. Great work!
I loved these 3.75" figures when they first came out. Its cool someone is printing the armor for larger figures. Your trooper looks great. The paint job is excellent. Kudos on the jumpsuit aswell.
Looks great! I always thought they were a cool design. Like a cross between a stormtrooper and officer armor.
Pretty cool! I like the softgoods pants. That'd be me under the armor with my skinny legs. Maybe they could need some extra muscle mass/sculpting. Another cool project, Ron!
A certain Princess would probably ask, aren't you a little skinny for a Navy Commando?
Amazing likeness, Ron. One of a kind
