Title: Action Fleet Question
Post by: Tamer on November 10, 2009, 09:50:26 AM
What would you  Action Fleet experts consider an ok price to pay for a decent boxed one on the bay?

What are you looking for?  That will help narrow down the list ;)

I have a decent boxed atat remote control for 15 bucks if that is good? Course his shipping is 10 smackers which seems a bit high.

To me that's not a bad price.   Search the completed auction and see what the average is.

These seem to be going for around 9 dollars with better prices for shipping!

that shpping seems a little high but 15 for an in box remote controled atat is pretty good... Im still tryin to get one of those, in box or out...

normally the older action fleet ships will go from 5-15 bucks.  The newer "saga" versions however will go for 30-200 bucks as they are much rarer.

it realy depends on the specific vehicle or set that you are looking for.  For instance, the tie defender is one of the most sought after of the original sets and it can go at anywhere from 50- 200 bucks.  I paid 80 something for mine....

I am gonna see if I can add a few to my collection here in the coming weeks. I want the remote control atat, the conecpt atat, and the atst three pack with speeder, etc.

If you guys can humor me for another question. How many version of that atat and atst are out there? Any saga versions? Thanks for taking the time to look and answer.

Tamer you should take a look at my collection then  ;D

But in all seriousness, there's been a few variations of the AT-AT released.

Clean - no blast marks (includes AT-AT Driver & Snowtrooper figure)
Dirty - minor blast marks (Same figures as above)
Alpha - has a light orange marking at the rear (Red AT-AT Driver & Snowtrooper figure, and the concept AT-AT Walker)
Remote Control - comes with remote to move the walker, very noisy. (Same figures as "Clean" & "Dirty" Versions)
Saga 2002 - snow paint job (no figures)

For the AT-ST its been released a few times, but I don't think there's any paint variations. As far as I know, they are:

AT-ST & Landspeeder 2-Pack
Action Fleet Battlepack #2
Another was released in a newer Action Fleet Battlepack with a speeder bike or 2, its in a blue box.

Hope this helps!

Nope not yet Wayne, but I like the sound of that.

Goldleaderone I will dig into your collection pics again and see just what there is. I am seeing that alpha, landspeeder two pack, remote control, and atat with figures. I need to see about those clean and dirty versions too. I am gonna make sure I get this while they seem to be fairly low on the bay.

Ok, Goldleaderone I got into your great loose collection and now I have a question about the dirty and clean versions of the atat. I assume they are packed in the same style of box and one just has to find the clean and dirty version? Wow, that is a great collection. I am gonna have me some atats and atst though! Then I will work on all the TESB ones. You guys really have made these grow on me.

Nice, glad to be of help. Glad to see someone else get in on the Action Fleet fun as well.   ;)

Anyway, to tell the difference between the "clean" & "dirty" versions, you have to look at the box itself. If the "Star Wars" logo on the front of the box is silver, it's the clean version. If the "Star Wars" logo on the front is gold, then it's the dirty version.

For some odd reason, when I got my Saga AT-AT there was no snow paint job on it. The overall color was a very light gray. I ended up using that for my Shadow custom.

Here is another I found while looking for these.

By the way is micromachines and action fleet the same thing? I see them called that way sometimes?

I know the Hoth playset, is one of the best AF playsets. and yes, that is a MicroMachine AT-AT mini-head playset. As for the battlepack #13 that is quite rare together with a few others. The first ones are common but the last ones i nthe series were released in limited numbers alas.

MicroMachines and Action Fleet were both made by Galoob company and playsets and figures are quite similar. The funny thing is that for example Alien or Predator MM figures are exactly like SW AF figures with movable joints and everything, but the MM SW figures are a bit smaller than AF SW figures and have no joints. But they could go ok together and the playsets too. The MM ships are too small though compared to AF ones.

There is also the MicroMachines Hoth playset - I used to have 2 of them but I donated the second one on the Romanian SW forum 3 years ago:

Time for an action fleet update. I know either have or have enroute the following:

open window remote control atat
closed box remote control atat
sage snow version atat
alpha concept atat

I still need to get the silver and gold boxed versions and think I am caught up unless I try to get the ROTS one.

Now onto the Hoth playset, the atat driver head (if anyone sees any  auctions for these let me know please), and luke's echo base head playset. That last one sounded stupid but is the one JKNO pictured.

Then onto the snowspeeders I am thinking and then the at'sts. I am getting hooked on these.

Alright guys, I have been purusing some of the action fleet sites you have given links of and think I may have all the AF AT-AT's, but want to make sure. Once I have these I am going after the rest of the micromachine ones. Ofcourse besides the elusive JCPenny 3button version I have the following;

2 button version with open window display
2 button version with just the remote showing
regular box with a silvery gold Star Wars logo and regular atat
saga box atat with snowy effect
alpha concept atat

I am thinking there might be one more regular one boxed with a gold only Star Wars logo? It is hard to tell that one from the silvery gold lettering one I have if that makes any sense. Thanks for the help.
Title: Re: Action Fleet Question
Post by: Goldleaderone on February 26, 2010, 01:11:31 PM
Tamer you're correct. The only one your missing is the one with the gold logo. I always get confused as to which is which, but the clean version comes from one and the dirty version comes from the other.

Example, if the clean version comes from the silver, the dirty version is from the gold. If not, its the other way around. Hope this helps, sorry if its confusing.
Title: Re: Action Fleet Question
Post by: Tamer on February 26, 2010, 03:48:29 PM
Ok, then I need the gold dirty version. Even the action fleet sites seem to forget this one.  I take it the dirty version has blaster marks on it? If anyone can direct me to a pic of what the walker looks like I would appreciate it. Evidently it isn't too different from the one in the regular packaging other than the full gold Star Wars logo.

I know one thing, it was sure nice to get onto some of those AF sites.

I think an Action Fleet question is about due to hasbro again. Aren't they scaling back or elimating the titanium line? Wouldn't it be a good time to ask Hasbro if they are ever gonna get back into the Action Fleet line?
Title: Re: Action Fleet Question

Folks another question. Is the ROTS Target Exclusive atat and snowspeeder micro vehicle set just a repacked action fleet atat? It sure looks that way to me. I have one on the way so I will be able to answer my own question, but if Dave or someone else can chime in I would appreciate knowing beforehand.
Title: Re: Action Fleet Question
Post by: JDeck on March 16, 2015, 07:09:23 PM
I was looking for some 1/250 or so x-wings in the micro machine line and I saw a diecast version painted that is sold individually Its not the action fleet. I think its a variation of the titanium series. I was wondering if its the same size as the plastic counterpart. I would rather have dicast than plastic its less likely to warp.  In a nutshell what is the length of the titanium series do they make a diecast x wing 1.5-2 inches in length?
