Wow, Ron. Great updates. So sorry to hear about your IG woes, no telling what the real problem was. You are having a field day with those Dark Fire  upscaled figures. They sure seem to have nailed this 3D print thing - the figures look great. Love your paint work on all these builds and the creative use of bases! Really nice work.

The Mandalorian Dio is great. Stinks we have to wait so long for a new season. I am already getting impatient. Nice dio though.

That Endor dio just rocks. Love that pilot on top.

So gotta get both of these projects to the front page even if I am late this morning!

Guys thanks so much for the kind words on the builds I really appreciate them and I just want to apologize as I thought I replied to all your comments back in August/September last year.

Hi All,

Awaiting Rescue 1:12 scale.  I was originally going to have the scout firing his sniper rifle but thought it would look more realistic him leaning up against his destroyed speeder having injuries which he sustained in the crash.

Recipe.

Scout/Speeder - are from Hasbro's Black Series line and I glued and puttied up the joints and the head is from Mezco's Batman Ascending Knight figure and I added putty to his left eye and forehead and the blood is a mix of clear resin, bright red paint and matt black paint.

The tarp is a dried baby wipe which was painted and weathered using Vallejo's Pastel Green and Beige Brown and I used Vallejo Paints to paint and weather both the scout and speeder.

Base - is high density foam cut out to the desired look, the tree is a branch which I I cut to size and then soaked in methylated spirits to kill any bugs and stop it from rotting.

The ground work is a mix of spakfilla/potty mix and sand and the small ferns on the tree are from Greenstuff World and the larger ferns are from the local craft store and the smaller clumps of foliage are from Joefix Studios and the grass tufts I got off ebay

Wow Ron. Looks fantastic. Sure does look like the Battle of Endor's aftermath to me.

Off to share on the front pages.

Looks awesome! Yeah I guess a sniper has been done, but this is very original and cool. Gets me thinking of what poses and scenes i want to do with my endor forest setup

Ron, that's really great. The head works well with the trooper body. I like the pose he is in and think the resting alert idea makes a lot of sense. The "branch for a tree trunk" really makes the scene for me.

Thanks heaps Shawn.

Thanks heaps JD and yeah there are so many options for poses and scenes it's not funny.

Thanks heaps buddy and yeah I think him having the injuries he has it would make more sense for him to be resting and I love using real branches for trees when I can as it just makes the dio more realistic.
