This is going to be fun! I really like the concept (it would have been a great scene in the movie!). Look forward to watching this progress.

Hi All,

Firstly I'm sorry for the very late reply, for some reason I'm not getting notifications.

Now that is my type of commission. Looks great Ron. I like how it has action at every angle. Off to the front pages.

Thanks heaps Shawn and I knew you would like it.

I agree with Tamer! Excellent idea there! It'll look better than on the packaging! Those Centerpiece figures are on discount here, too atm. Started at 90€ ($100 USD) and are now around 15-20€...
Can't wait to see this dio completed which should be done yesteryear at your pace of work, Ron ;)

Thanks buddy and I wish they would go on discount here in Australia but for some reason they don't and I'm taking my time on dio's at the moment as to not burn myself out as I will be building my butt off after xmas for the local Con in May.

Cannot wait to see this one done. Just go crazy! Your the king of the environment diorama!

Cheers mate.

This is going to be fun! I really like the concept (it would have been a great scene in the movie!). Look forward to watching this progress.

Thanks buddy and that's one of the reasons I like building SW dio's as there is so many behind the stories that could have happened.

Your the king of the environment diorama!

no doubt!

Thanks mate.

Ron

Hi All,

Hoth attack dio completed.

Recipe

AT-AT foot and Figures - are all from Hasbro and I just repainted and weathered the AT-AT foot/Luke display using Vallejo Paints. The rest of the figures I glued the joints and puttied them and then repainted and weathered them using Vallejo Paints

Base - is high density foam cut to shape and then the figures/display were glued to the base and once dry I used spakfilla to make the snow.

Love it! Always impressed by your snow effects! Btw do you maintain a list or excel chart with all your projects? I lost track of the incredible amount of projects! And if it's not too much stress for you I have to admit I'm looking forward to your turbo time of making new stuff for next year!

Thanks so much mate and sorry to say I don't as when I see a figure or model I get a light bulb moment and get the item and start building. No stress at all buddy, I can't wait as well as I find I get into the zone and just go for it.

Thanks heaps Shawn, the client was very happy with it as well and for such a small dio for this scale it's not overwhelming for such a lot of action going on in such a compact area.

Hi All,

Shoretrooper Scarif 28mm

Recipe.

Figure's - are from Fantasy Flight Games and have been painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints.

Base - is high density foam and the tarmac was done by using a sharp pencil and scribing into the foam. The control panel is from Fantasy Flight Games and is from their Priority Supplies Battlefield expansion set and the crates are made using plastic card.

The sand is a mix of fine sand and spakfilla with Vallejo's Iraqui Sand mixed in and the palm tree's I got of ebay and repainted the using Vallejo paints. the small ground foliage I picked up from my local gaming store and the large bushes are from Woodland Scenics, Olive Green foliage set.
