I got my legion figures today. It's pretty much a Darth Vader, four sandtrooper, eight Stormtroopers and two Speederbike and scouts. I can at least use the Stormtroopers and speeders for Endor.

It will be interesting to see how you paint these up and use them in your display.

Indeed Starchaser. I'm not sure what I'll do. I'm not the best at painting these things, so need more practice. I think if I spray paint them white, then add the black, would work best.

I went to Walmart, and in the stationary section, they had these little boxes. I started painting them, and I think they would make cool Imperial cargo crates.  What's cool is, you can put weapons and accessories in them to use in the diorama or display.

These look fantastic in your diorama. Great work.

Off to share to the front pages. Can I ask how much these little boxes cost?

Agreed! That is one brilliant idea, JD! I would've never thought of that, seriously. Next time I'll look for those at my local dollar stores...

Thank you. The big ones are $ 1.00 and the smalls are 88¢. I only got two of each because I can be a tight wad sometimes. The big ones I might modify further.

Thanks, yeah they're neat little things. I think these are from a company called Stacker.

I decided to glue the two big boxes together. I just took the lids off and glued the open sides together. Then I added decals, dry brush and a black wash. Pretty cool for little dollar boxes.

Thank you. I was going to add some model kit parts and greebles, but keep it simple.

Thanks man. Go for it. I might look around at some other containers, or possibly vac formed plastic, to make different ones. But these are almost perfect for 1/18.

Yeah, I think you have the right take on these. They really have a nice feel. Heck, you could use in all kinds of different dios too. I mean you have to have crates of various sizes, dimensions, colors, etc.

True that. Wars are won by logistics. I had to go to WM anyway, so I picked up a few more. I found some mini lip gloss containers that are shaped like soda cans. I grabbed them, maybe they would work for some kind of gas can.

Here's the basic layout of the Stormtrooper diorama. I think I will make a stone floor, maybe some plastoid/durasteel plates. I'm debating on making a wall on the E-WEB side, or just keep the diorama open.
