After work Burlington score!

I found 2 more $3.99 "Halo" Mantis mechs bringing me to my desired quantity of 6! These did not have the price stickers, but I had the image of the price stickers from my first purchase on my phone so they were able to scan my phone to ring them up!

After work thrift shop score!

I found this factory sealed "Snap Ships" Gladius set for $3.99! It was mixed in with the board games, I saw it out of the corner of my eye while walking past those shelves. I have a few friends that snatched this line up when they were clearanced by Target to use all of the great tech kibble in them, so I know this was $4 well spent!

EDIT: Soooooooo many great greebles! Literally EVERY single part is useful! I am definitely going to grab every one I see in the future.

I did the Target clearance grab on a couple of these and have snagged one at the thrift store as well...you are so right about greeblies...so many options!

Today's thrift store scores!

The giant electronic "Starship Troopers" bug was only $6.50! The back left leg is missing the last 2", but I can sculpt a replacement and repaint it. I had one of these when they were first released over 2 decades ago, but had to sell it (along with a bunch of other items) when I had my car accident and was never able to replace it until now!

The 3 vinyl dinosaurs were in a bag for $8.50! The Brachiosaurus and Pentaceratops are in rough shape (paint scuffs all over) and need to be repainted, but the Mosasaurus is in perfect condition!

The Playmobile "Mars Mission" launch playset was only $8.50! It is missing a bunch of small parts that get added onto the superstructure, but is otherwise in excellent condition. You can even switch the payload between 2 different capsules. This will be utilized for some future project.

Hey, that "Starship Troopers" bug looks interesting! Sorry to hear you had to sell stuff after a car accident. I hope you didn't get hurt. It's a great example of how almost everything else can be replaced except for our own health.

If I had to re-sculpt one of the legs I'd probably strengthen it with a strong wire.

playmobil is always a win to buy! Great finds as always Dan!

Sadly, I was crippled for 4 months after my car accident. It took 2 surgeries for me to walk again. I am now, 17 years on, riddled  with arthritis in my neck, left shoulder, lower back, left hip and both knees, but I can walk, albeit with a slight limp.

I do plan on reinforcing the sculpted section. With wire for added stability :)

Another AMAZING thrift store score!

I found this factory sealed "Lightyear" XL-07 Test Launch for $19.99!

This was pretty much only released overseas (found mostly in the UK), and people were paying big bucks to have 1 shipped stateside. I had basically given up on ever owning one without putting out way more money than I would be comfortable doing so, but the Toy Gods smiled on me once again 😁
