Anyone picking these up yet. I have been and I am actually impressed with them.
Just like the Wolverine line there is a comic series and a movie series. I have picked up comic Crymson Dynamo, Original IM, and War Machine and Movie IM Mark VI. The Mark VI I cannot put down its so nifty. Just flat plain awesome.
-
I haven't seen these yet, but am anxious to. I want to check out the movie version of Black Widow!
-
I saw these over the weekend and left them there.
I'm so done with anything marvel it's not even funny.
Of course I have no yearning too even see the movie, as the last one, was nothing special imho.

I really loved the first IM, oh well to each thier own.
-
Has anybody picked any of these up they are great specialy the war machine and iron man movie series I think they can make great customs for the clones but thats just me.
-
Yes... all of them are pretty awesome
I have only purchased the War machine figures, both the movie and comic styles.
I'm currently customizing the comic war machine into something special...
oddly enough a clone trooper head will fit the iron man figure's neckball perfectly....
-
Can someone post some pics, please?
-
SPudd thats one of the first things I noticed it looks pretty wicked . I tried going back and getting more war machines but they seem to have flown of the pegs. They will make awsomw customs though.
-
I posted pics in the star wars purchases back in Feb.
They are pretty sweet figures, the second wave has kind of shotty paint apps...but ehhh, fixable.
Can't wait for the next movie..anything to get the pain of the dark knight out of my brain, lol.
-
I have found that if you are patiant you can get around the paint easy. I have (at this point)
Mark I
Mark II
Mark IV
Mark IV
Oringal Armor
Classic Armor
Classic Stealth armor
Comic War Machine
Deep Dive Aromr
Hypervelocity Armor.
And here I said I would only get 3 when they hit LOL
-
movie war machine is so much better, imho.
I like hypervelocity, though its description makes it sound more like the stealth suit.
I'm eager to see new villains, titanium man, that sort.
The paint on the first offerings was nice, but wave 2 or whatever is just sloppy as hell.
Inferno mission looks like spudafett painted it with testors enamels.
-
I saw the Deep Dive Iron Man today and almost bought it, just to repaint for fun. Some of these hold a lot of promise in the way of custom droids, much like how L.E. did his.
-
So am I right in thinking that the Hypervelocity Armor is Ironman's Space Armor?
-
cim I would say yes they just like to add fancy names to make the toy sound more exciting.
-
Thanks kreeper, well that's the one I need to get then, as I am only going to collect the cosmic characters and anyone that has some form of space armor or space suit specifically - so yeah I know the X-Men and Avengers have appeared in space adventures, but they were to my knowledge in their regular outfits, so I won't be getting them.
-
There was some costumes for outerspace, kind of reminded me of the space clone wars figs, very recognizeable but obviously space outfits for the X-men, I believe the avengers had something similar as well. I doubt seriously that figures of those will ever be made.
On hypervolocity, It doesn't look anything like IM's Space armor IMO, but could pass for it at any rate. Give IM a big booster backpack and repaint the Hydro Armor you are close, but still not there.
Of course IM has had 3 space armors and I am only fimilar with one, so maybe Hyper looks like one of the other two, but as far as I am aware its not. Still Hypervelocity is incredibly cool and possibly my fav IM of the line.
-
Thanks Zed as well, I didn't know the X-Men and Avengers wore Spacesuits I thought they were always in their own outfits.
-
I believe (don't quote me or anything) the suits appear (in X-Men) in the animated series with dark phienoix, they are copied in the comic shortly after as I recall (something to do with the Shiar again).
Avengers has a Kree Skull war thing that thiers popped up in as I recall. It was called Operation Galactic Storm. Kind of a forced crossover but had some moments.
-
iron man 2 figures have holes in the back the hyperholisty suit has one and a denal jet pack fits the hole and that suit is for stealth
-
hey if you want to watch iron man two now go to im2watch.tk

Is that just a repainted deep-sea IM with a sawblade pack?
-
Yep, that whole wave is repaints, I do see a few that raise my eyebrow but not enough to justify grabbing them early from online sources. Sides I am hopeing Mandarin shows up there soon, I am getting impatiant as hell.
-
LOL I hear ya! I'm going to try mixing some IM parts into both my SW customs and my casting runs.
I do like some of the accessory pack-ins with the new stuff that's coming, for sure.
-
Has anyone noticed that with the Iron Man Mark IV figure has a really loose torso??
-
Mark IV's have been that way from the begining, its my major complaint (that and how the knees are knocky) drove me crazy cause the way the paints are this is my fav of the movie ones, but the mold killed it.
-
I bought the Mark IV nearly a year ago but sent it back and got the Mark III and I went back to the shop recently and bought the Mark IV again and it was the same figure I'd taken back last year, also the lower part of one of the legs snapped.
-
The final wave of "Iron Man 2" figures, which were retitled "Iron Man: The Armored Avenger" and are hard as hell to come by have begun showing up at TJ Maxx as per several reports across the figure forums. They are retailing for $5.99 so get them while you can before they disappear!
Also, If anyone buys the "Shield Breaker Iron Man" figure (gold/silver repaint of the movie armor) and doesn't want the giant transparent purple shield, please think of me as I need 1 for a custom :)
-
I'll check the TJ Maxx in my AO next week!
-
Entertainment earth has some in stock.
