a Clone Gunnery Sgt. concept for light armor take down, let me know what you think.
-
awesome! you made it over.
great job on that one buddy. as I told you on deviantart that shoulder pauldron/shoulder pad is awesome looking. The backpack is awesome, the entire thing is great.
you need to upload your evo trooper repaint too man!
-
Looks great, I love the detail on this one, can't wait to see the evo
-
Very cool! That pauldron is PIMP!
-
1st off, welcome to the Yards. 2nd, yeah, everyone is right...That trooper and everything about him is beyond cool.
Thanks for sharing.
-
now for the EVO Commander
-
1st off, welcome to the Yards. 2nd, yeah, everyone is right...That trooper and everything about him is beyond cool.
Thanks for sharing.
thanks, glad to be here
-
I love that evo commander. I love the fact that you didn't settle with just the simple repaint and went on and gave him an awesome weopon. Much better than the pack in weopon that comes with the evo-trooper.
-
Slow down, I'm still catchin my breath from that other awesome figure, LOL.
That EVO trooper looks great. Helluva step up from the original. Damn, this site is really drawing some serious talent.
Really, great work.
-
Damn, this site is really drawing some serious talent.
Really, great work.
The majority reason for that is because so many of us are off posting our customs elsewhere and promoting the site through those posts... theres people coming from deviant-art where I put up my images, there's people coming from youtube where alot of member's here put up videos of their customs.... etc... etc...
IT's just weird that all of a sudden we've had so many new members, and the fact that they arn't realy new to the hobby is great! I mean this stuff is awesome!
-
Welcome aboard, Helix!
Gotta *love* those Gundam-type weapons in the hands of Clones! Very nice work.
-
Hot Dang! That Evo trooper looks virtually real with the outside photography and the scale backdrop. One word describes your customs my friend AWESOME!
-
seriously minty figs mate !
-
Welcome aboard Helix! Your figures look great. The added details and especially that reworked pauldron on that first one are spectacular. And as has been said, that evo trooper looks so much better than the hasbro version.
I put that EVO commander on the front page.
Can't wait to see more of your work.
-
Welcome to the yards Helix! That first trooper Rocks! I love the paltron detail and other grebies you added to him and your paint aps look great as well. The Evo trooper is very nice too. The outdoor pics really bring him to life. Can't wait to see what else is up your sleeve.
-
What an introduction!
Majorly cool figures!
-
I love that shoulder piece... =) I'm so going to make my own version of that.. awesome idea!
-
I like your customs a lot .The weapon on the evo trooper looks so cool.
-
lol I told ya the guys over here would eat those two clones up helix!
-
Daggone sweet clones! That light armor buster is just over the top. He reminds me of a "Glitter Boy" from a long ago rpg game. Wow, these look good.
-
Those are some very nice figures, Helix. Welcome to the 'Yards. I'm Dan.
-
great to meet you all, i should have a couple more posted in the next day or two, thanks again for all the feedback ;)
-
Wow, great customs, I especially like that EVO commander and that mean looking gun you've given him! Can't wait to see more!

-
Hey Helix,

Ive gotta have one, well actually more than one.
i got it off of a army leo mobile suit from the gundam wing series i'm not sure where you can get them any more it was a few years ago that i picked it up, maybe ebay or amazon would have one
-
Nice customs, I like the Gunnery Sergeant Episode 3 Clone.
-
heres my Salucami Sniper
-
Wow, that is wicked! Nice, clean lines, great paint apps.
-
it's settled... you lied to me buddy. These are NOT, can't possibly be, your first customs. You have had to been into customizing those gundams or something. these troopers are aweseome. The paint is nicely done, but the added accessories, weopons, packs and holsters are perfect.
thanks for sharing that new one. I love his pack, any details on where it came from?
-

i used to customize aircraft models alot but other than that i just like to do alot of detailing, the pack is from another gundam with an airspeed probe fitted for an antenna.
-
Helix88, I agree that this sniper figure rocks.
You say that you like to do a lot of detailing. Now that's what I like to hear!
I'm with Spud. That backpack is killer.
-
and now for the Sharpshooter Lt.
-
Yes, another awesome clone. I love the added details, pouches, etc. The backpack looks like a Gundam piece. Keep them coming.
-
Very cool, the paint scheme, expecially on the helmet really looks menacing
-
gah, I typed a reply to this and my computer freaked out and I lost it...
I love that last one with the airborne trooper head. I never realy cared for that sculpted helmet but with the added details on yours it looks great. I especially love the mud covered boots and mud splattered kama. that's what sold me.
-
wow mate some more awesome clone customs, love em and keep em coming ;D

a nice shiney new clone just says droid fodder to me so i like to rough 'em up, wars not ever been a clean pastime to my knowlage, i like my guys to reflect that.
-
i thought you guys would get a kick out of this.
"The trooper immediately regreted suggesting to the C.O. that faster mounts would make patrols more efficiant"
-
LOL, he looks good on there. Gelibrub patrol, eat your heart out.
-
LOL, he looks good on there. Gelibrub patrol, eat your heart out.
i was just thinking how much patroling on a geligrub would suck, then thought of this
-
lol i did that with a Tusken Raider on my puppy heres the link
-
I think turtles would make a FINE steed, if you're chasing a sloth!
-
i've got some bearded dragons i should do a dewback pic!
-
Yes, you DEFINITELY should!
-
Yes, you DEFINITELY should!

-
(http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/6123/salucamisniper1jpgthumb.png)
that's frickin' amazing.
perfect clone sniper, easily could have been in ROTS if they'd spent anymore time on Salucami than the one scene to glorify Stass Allie's death.
-
lol I beat you to it, long time ago....
great shot, i'll do one with a trooper holding out a mealworm or something
-
Awesome snipers, Helix! I agree, I love the extra details you lavish on your clones. I'm also rather partial to the Saleucami helmet for some reason.
-
Introducing the 501st "Clanker Spanker" (more veiws soon)
-
Wow, check out that bad boy. I love the troop rousing slogan and image on the back. Very ww2, vietnam war feeling.
Yeah, lets see some more shots.
-
lol! love it! the clanker spanker... ;D
-
LOL. What a great name to go with that Stud! You have made the front page with that great addition!
-
holy Cow man that looks awesome!!! would love to see more pics of that... fantastic looking clones mate really love the look of each and every one of em ;D
-
HA HA HA HA that's classic!
truly a unique clone, it's genius, I love it!
-
More Clanker Spanker pics!
the pouch on his kama is cleaner than the other one because its usually sheilded from the mud and crud by his arm and weapon
-
Great figure! I like how you put the name on the back. May I recommend putting it in Aurebesh to make it authentic.

is there a english to arubesh translator anywhere?
-
theres one out there somewhere... there is also a text font style somewhere that you can download.
It looks awesome helix! I love it. Where did the mini-gun come from? I don't recognize it... is it another gundam crossover?

very heavely modefied, cut up about 6 diferent things to make it. some i dont know where they were from, 1 or 2 gundam guns, but pretty much scratchbuilt
-
wow, I would not have guessed it was scratch. It looks stock. Great work!

If you check the Star Wars Wookiepedia, they have the alphabet translations. That way you know how to spell all words.
-
You had me at Clanker Spanker. Love these past few clones. Nice work.
-
Starwars.com had a n Arubesh translater thing in a download or printout available under the clonewars section.... for kids under an activities section a few days ago.
Had the alphabet and numbers and some others like period and question mark and hyphen and such. I dont know about a program where you type it and then it is converted entirely to Arubesh.
There is also something along the same lines for Mandoa. not so much an alphabet, but a grammar and language dictionary type thing....
I think that was from a Karen Travis website....

MEDIC!!!
An ROTS clone with a modified jet troopers head, the thing on his forhead is a kind of medical imaging unit that displays info on his HUD
-
looks good, you need a feild medical droid to go with him.... and he needs some blood splatter on him from his work....
-
good point, i think i'll make some tweaks and post new shots
-
Helix,
Just have to say how impressed I am with your creations, your images are also spot on....

great job!
i had to cut at that kama for about a half an hour, and the head took 45min to get right, it drove me crazy, and cost me three new cuts on my left thumb
-
oh the joys of customizing... and the sacrifices we make... lol
the last one looks great buddy. I love it.
-
Wow, that helmet mod looks great. Heck the whole thing looks awesome. Front page again!
-
Love that last Clone. Nice helmet mix and work on that kama.
-
Helix...I love your customs, I thought I'd place them in a scene from the Clone Wars...I hope you like.
Jules

Man, Jules, that is tight! Helix's clones go VERY well in that scene!
-
awesome jules...

That's weird....You might want to speak to Phatty who's one of the site designers as to why you can't see my images....
I'll get this one to you shortly.
-
You can't see any of the images displayed here in the forums? If so, I am thinking you need to go check out your internet options and look at your security features to see if you have enabled cookies and pictures. Man, part of the forum fun is seeing all these great graphics, we need to get that fixed. Awesome image Jules.

A Salucami Marine
-
Wow, this guy is armed to the teeth! This looks awesome. It reminds me of that bad robot from the old movie, "The Black Hole". Guess I am dating myself a bit. I would love to see another movie in that series too by the way. What was that bad robots name?
-

Maxamillion was the bad robot's name. Another equipped to the max clone, helix 88. I love it! the helmet mod is awesome, buddy. I had to front page this one. Where did that sawed off shotgun looking weapon come from that is strapped to his lower leg?
-
Helix88 that is one beautiful Clone mate, just stunning
-
That's a great figure, Helix! I love the BARC Trooper/Galactic Marine mixed helmet. Great work!

the gun on his leg is the pack in dc-15 with a scope glued on, and what i think is a folding stock cut off. heres a better pic of both weapons
-
Great job on the marine . Hear is an idea for a future a salucime jet trooper.
-
thats is wicked mate
-
WOW! Another awesome figure. I love the helmet design. Armed to the teeth indeed.

Just got quite a bit of custom fodder with six G I Joe knock-offs for 10$ at big lots
-
Daggone, that is a lot of goodies.
-
Big Lots you say, I may have to swing over there this week and take a peak, lots of good dio fodder for both Joes and SW in there,
-
welcoming the "Salucami Saboteur"
-
now for the "D.A.R.C. Trooper" (Desert Advanced Recon Commando)
-
BOTH of those are awesome! Love the colors and the down and dirty grime covered filthy look of them both! the added packs and pouches look good on the sabateur...
hey buddy, why don't you ever post these on deviantart anymore?!
-
Wow, talk about weathered to the max, I love them, Helix! Tell us about the extra gear on the sabatuer.
-
Very cool trooper Helix. I like the weathering you did and the extra packs and stuff. Awesome job.
-
Wow, talk about weathered to the max, I love them, Helix! Tell us about the extra gear on the sabatuer.
i love to do crazy weathering on these guys, the pack and all those pouches are from a bunch of fodder i got at BigLots. the pouches were all this bright green so i painted them with some leather MM and they looked way better. the pack had two stretchy shoulder straps, but would not work well with the shape of his chest so i modified it to a single cross chest strap and that seems to work a lot better. i'm going to be posting a desert recon sqaud made up of existing figs i have that sould be done pretty soon.
-
awesome I can't wait to see the desert squad!
-
excellent clone customs
I like the pics with the reptiles
-
I am liking the D.A.R.C. trooper, but both are nice. Fp again!
-
i just got done reworking a couple of figures and doing a new one as well
the green guy is "Bugger" frome the 238th "GreenOps" unit, the specialize in combat in heavly forested areas. He's distractable as far as clones go, but an unmatched survival expert, able to go for extended periods without convetional re-supply.
The red one is a new head for my "Sharpsooter Lt."
-
And heres a shot of the desert squad, and the D.A.R.C. trooper update, i'm stumped for names and a unit for all these guys, any sugesstions?
-
That "bugger fig is awesome, dude! What a great looking clone, buddy! Expect this one to be on the front page today.
That other one red one looks pretty cool also. I wouldn't mind seeing some more shots of that one.
Buddy, that DARC trooper helmet mod looks nice and the desert squad as a whole is just mouth watering.
This custom update was well worth the wait.

-
I hear you, buddy, as I have a dio I need to make for my desert ops squad as well and haven't found the time yet. I will eagerly await the construction of your dio. Oh, I got "bugger" on the front page.

-
love the clones mate, "Bugger" made me smile as its a swear word over here lol
-
Helix88 your one of the reasons I joined this forum! Awsome toopers. I like your customs and the colors, how most of your customs would fit in the 41st elite my favorite Clones. Desert and Jungle thats where my troopers fight.

Great figures, and well done! I like all of the modded helmets in that squad.
-
Helix those are some great looking clones buddy between you and Jay i wont need to custom any clones as you guys do wonderful jobs..... "bugger" hey over (in OZ) here it means for lack of a better word "Doh!!" lol
Fantastic job mate...
-
Helix my man, I think Bugger is by far one of my all time favorites now! He looks awesome! Hell, that whole squad does. How about the 988th Battalion "Hell Stompers" for a group name? They look like they'd crash the Gates of Hell and take things over!
-
outstanding customs Helix88
I'm a big fan of your work
-
sweet clone man wow im with phatty hell stompers that will scare the clanks wouldnt it
-
Wow, that D.A.R.C. looks sweet. I like em all. Boy, these figs are great.

Nice job on Bugger, that desert squad is quite cool!
-
I just did a pic concerning the origin of buggers name, here you go.
Sgt. Ruger- "You're not seriously considering what i think you are?"
cc-1774- "Hey, it cant be worse then those stanerd rations."
-

-
LOL, that is awesome, helix! I love it!

helix you should do more simple dio sets like that....
who was the mealworm for originally? lol I just got 500 superworms in the mail the other day for my beardie.

the worm was for a little banded gecko but she refused it for crickets, so i took thie pic with it and gave it to my southern painted turtle

Man loving your customs the paint apps are awesome.
Ron
-
This shot reminds me of the one Clone Wars cartoon of Anakin eating all the bugs. Great shot, on the fp.
-
Helix, these are some Dawgon Customs....
I can't say I have a favourite as the ones I've seen so far are all extaordinary!
-
Rad.
Wow, normally clone customs put me to sleep, but these are just wonderful. I just read through all these pages, still like the light armor specialist the best.
-
Cool and funny diorama.
-
What do they put in the ration packs that are so bad?Funny diorama helix88 i like the comedy involved. You could name the squads sniper ace.
-

It does huh.

thanks, ive got a quick question i painted an Evo troopor with enamel paints, is there a way to get it off and not harm the figure?
-
I've done that.... ::)
easiest way to do it is to use some paint thinner on a towel and gently rub it off. it'll take a while.. but it'll get it off
if you want to try and keep it the way it is you MIGHT be able to salvage it by spraying the entire figure with a clear coat of spray paint to seal in what is on it. i did that after I realized I'd painted a figure with a paint that I mixed half enamel and half acrylic...

thanks, i was just unclear as to whether the thinner would melt the figure itself i did that to another figure about 3 years ago
-
don't let it sit too long on the figure, or soak the figure in it and it should be fine.

Mate spudafett is correct but also you can use coke (drink) put some in a class and then soak tehfigure for about an 1hr and then you can rub it off. Of nail polish remover on a cotton bud is also good.
Ron

-
Hey Helix, you got Hamgerbay'd!
That looks awesome, Jules.
-
that is awesome! Jules, you never fails to amaze me...sweet
-
Ok, ive got a new clone to show off and here SHE is! Kayra!

-
A girl clone? Great custom and great idea!
-
A girl clone? Great custom and great idea!
thanks, i figured it was about time
-
Nice custom.I havent seen a girl clone trooper.
-
Sweet. Spudafett has done some kick butt Mando gals and Commander Kurgan has done some gal clones too, but this is the first Commando Clone gal I am have seen. What an awesome idea. I would love to hear the backstory on this one. I could see Karen Traviss writing a whole series on this character. Oh wait a minute, George made Karen quit writing because she was sticking to canon material. Still, it is a great figure.
-
that is sick! in a realy realy good way. I have always thought that that body armor would work well for a female clone or stormtrooper...
I did a female clone based on the animated figure a while back.... but it didn't turn out all that great! lol.
the paint job on this one is amazing Helix. I love how well your weathering and paint apps look. Very fresh, very nice... I normally get burnt out on clone customs but yours are so well done I actually look forward to them! :)
-
Very nice, Helix! Whats the recipe on this one?
-
Very nice, Helix! Whats the recipe on this one?
The legs are from an AOTC clone, the head is a combo of a GM head with bultar swans face, the arms ar also from a GM and are glued to the stumps of bultars originals, the torso and armor are both swans and i gave her a nice olive skin tone to round her out
-
Ok, ive got a new clone to show off and here SHE is! Kayra!
Makes you wonder what they're up to on kameno
HOT MAMA nice custom ;)
-
awesome mate
really an awesome idea to make a female clone and the name you gave her is also great
-
That is an awesome female trooper! Great job!
-
i'm going to branch out into non-clones, my firs is coming up soon , let me know what you think about it, its even a cantina guy
-
Rats! I was hoping you would get into Imperial troopers, namely at-at drivers! ;D
-
i'm going to branch out into non-clones, my firs is coming up soon
sweet! I'm looking really forward to seeing what kind of non trooper you have up your sleeves, hell yeah I'll post my thoughts.
-
Rats! I was hoping you would get into Imperial troopers, namely at-at drivers! ;D
i might if i could find any here, haven't seen one for a long time
-
Helix, that sounds like my cup of tea! don't get me wrong I've got nothing against Clones or mando's, but there is a universe of possibilities, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what you have in store!
-
Ok the wait is over for my first non-clone custom.....Saurin smuggler "Fal Riss"
Saurins are a race similar to trandoshans but have 5 fingers instead of three. Fal Riss is distinguished from othe Saurins by his red markings, and frequents the cantina scene in Mos Eisly, tho was away when the Bay 94 incident occered. A small time merchant, with a fall back of smuggling deathsticks, spice, weapons, or just about anything else you want to move undetected. He's very good at his trade often fetches top dollar for his wares, and almost always makes an on-time delivery of "cargo".
His HUD is scratch-built, and his satchel is a missle pod from a gundam wth vinyl strapping
-
Dang! sweet is all I can come up with...
the microdetailing on this figure is amazing, that hud display is awesome! I love it! the paint apps are perfect as always with your figures!
I would love to see more non clone figs from you! definately worth it!

Nice customs, whats next in line for our customs?
-
Nice customs, whats next in line for our customs?
I honestly have no idea, any suggestions are welcome.
-
May I recommend Cad Bane's posse of bounty hunters from Hostage Crisis.
-
He is awesome! I love the HUD and satchel.
-
Next up for my non-clone customs is.....Karshen Solev!
in the early days of the Empire, Karshen Solev was found in a derelict freighter as a young girl, only at the hand of Vader was she seen to be a force adept, and immediately taken, and trained in the sith arts by Vader, but such was known to none but Vader and the Emperor . She was then stationed as an "internal affairs" official. She is employed mainly as a means of ferreting out disloyals, traitors, spies, and other well hidden defects in the Vast Imperial machine. her speciality is in interogation, but is a formidable adversary in any right. She seemes to have no available data regarding her race aside from the fact that the freighter on which she was had been found drifting in a unexplored area of the outer rim

cool custom what did you use for the head

I just picked up a legacy scout trooper and am going to do him up as a companion for my walker with some subtle changes, i,ve got some wips i'll post pretty soon
-
Cool deal. Some shots of him beside that walker will be nice.
-
Ok the scout took way less time to finish than i had thought he would so here are some pics of the finished product, sorry no walker in this shot, it fell over so i've got to fix the main gun. i'll put up the full sqaud and vehicle tomorrow
-

-
That is one great looking scout trooper. Sorry to hear about that atst.
-
sweeeet scout trooper dude!
-
Nice paint apps on that scout! I like how the red stripe on his face is offset.
its actually not paint, its thin adhesive vinyle pressed and trimmed to the contours of his armor with an exacto knife, it worked really well so i thinki'm going to use itr more often
-
Very nice, he looks like a Target Scout.
-
Very nice, he looks like a Target Scout.
LOL
now all i can think of is a platoon of these guys picking off walmart employees! BKS
-
that is too awesome.
So is it penstriping vinyl? I've actually got a roll of that I purchased at an auto store not too long ago for use on my next vehicle custom.... I never thought about using it on a figure....
-
that is too awesome.

its vinyl for making signs and lettering, it comes on 24 inch wide rolls for vinyl cutting, i've just been using scaps of it and it never runs or globs , and it never needs a second coat, it takes practice and patience but its worth it in my opinion
-
Great paint apps. Really liking that scout.
-
Finally got this one on the front page. I sure do like it. Makes me wonder what you could do with an atat driver.
-
HOLY COW! That design is so incredibly simple, yet stands out perfectly! I love this one, and now I think I shall pick more of these up to experiment with!
-
dude that would be cool that target would sell that if they can come up with a good superb idea like that ;D
LOL, i was thinking the same thing. If Target sold this, they would be advertising and selling loads of them at the same time!! Fantastic custom!! Simple, yet stands out perfectly.
-
Awesome! I love it. The detail work is sweet! I love the emblem on the back and the chest. Can't wait to see the walker and the rest of the crew.
-
goddamn, Helix, the executives at Target would probably love that, it's too awesome to really wrap my brain around! it looks so perfect
-
The sniper looks great Helix. Would be nice to see some of them in TFU 2 game.
-
Hey guys! I'm going to be selling some of my customs to fund future endevours. If any of you guys are interested PM me and I'll get back to you ASAP

Awesome scout!! love those weapons
-
I'm loving the scout troopers. Idk why but scout troopers have always been my favorite of all the OTC troopers....
I love the shoulder pad addition on your latest scout. I keep meaning to cut up some of my cast resin shoulder pauldrons that have those pieces and do something similar...
-
Yes, another awesome clone. I love the added details, pouches, etc. The backpack looks like a Gundam piece. Keep them coming.
There great custums
-
Loving the scout troopers. Ever thought about getting into custom atat drivers? ;D
-
In cases like this, simple is greater than the complex designs! I love it!
-
hi all! i just finished a custom AT-ST driver fo a second custom walker im doing. he's a part of a unit similar to the other walker i did, but this unit specializes in forest ops
-
cool dude! cant wait to see that walker!

Looks great, Helix! This guy is worth 10 of those POTF style ATST drivers.
I recognize the Panno torso but whose legs are those?
-
O0These are AWESOME MAN!!! O0
-
Freakin AWESOME man! I love that torso, there are countless options using it. The legs are from the cantina alein....ahhhh can't think of his name.
-
Freakin AWESOME man! I love that torso, there are countless options using it. The legs are from the cantina alein....ahhhh can't think of his name.
i cant remember his name ethier, he came with that crazy "dice ebigon" (sp?) lapmroid thinger. the hands and harness are from a para viper GIjoe ROC fig. I also cut and re-mounted the chinstrap so it looked like it actually would hold the helmet on. and put a layer of sharpie marker over the goggles to give them a glossier look. the green is a 3:1 ratio of MM Zinc Chromate & MM leather
-
Man, he looks slick! Excellent work!
-
another great one :o :o
-
excellent custom Helix, the driver is just awesome
can't wait to see your secound walker custom

-
Your SpecOps Scout looks awesome Helix
great job
-
amazing helix. I commented on deviantart when I saw your post of this one there. simply brilliant paint apps. I'd love to see you paint one of my super arty scout troopers, or try your hand at making one and painting it. It'd probably put mine to shame! (wait... this one already does put mine to shame... :( lol )
-
WOW! Fantastic! I love Scouts & this one is no exception, great work Helix!
-
Another great scout, on the front page! I sure hope you move onto at-at drivers!

:o :o
-
Alright now heres the Spec Ops Stormtrooper, the scouts squadmate. Let me know what you think!
-
Daggone, top notch. I love the mix of what i am thinking is scout armor with a stormy helmet among other piecies. I love the paint scheme and the color on those eyes is fantastic, reminds me of the copper flash I have seen Clint use before. Just outstanding. Like I said, I hope you don't move onto atat drivers. I would be bugging you to death. Look for this on the front page soon.
-
That is amazing.
-
Helix, I am LOVING these squadmates you're coming up with! They are so simple in design, but yet, so incredible in color scheme and detail! I love them!
-

-
that Trooper looks fantastic Helix, loving the paint scheme that you have designed!! how many of these great troopers will be in your Squad?
that depends on how many more scouts and stormies i can dig up, the spacetrooper in particular
-
Great work Helix! Love the Stormie lower arms and helmet but that paint scheme and the aps are amazing!
-
that Spec Ops Stormtrooper its awesome!!!!
Helix88,
CaptainLux said it better than I could. Nice job on the Spec Ops Stormtrooper Mate. He really does Rock Hard!!!!
Darth Creatine
-
Awesome Helix!
-
I like the stormie/scout mix Helix. One of your best customs so far.
great job
-
that stormtrooper helmet on the scout is blasted amazing. That combo is perfect for a storm commando. I like it even better than the evolutions storm commando helmet...
I think between me, you and clint we could come up with a good helmet combo that would look alot more unique for a storm commando... what do you think? what would look even cooler than that?
anyway, back to yours, the paint apps, the colors, the construction... all of it is top notch and perfectly spot on. awesome work
-
WOW! What an awesome looking trooper! He looks sweet Helix!
-

thats a great idea,i think that a combo of a stormtrooper and general veers helmet would look pretty good, i'll have to think of some other combos too
-

i just orderd a death star gunner and an AT-AT driver for my SpecOps line an should get them by the 19th, i plan on doing a whole squad.
-
:o :o :o holy cow! man. that's one sweet looking trooper.
-
Thats a bad ass custom bro love the color grey and red always a good combo!
-
Ok, finally found a minute to do some fp news. This one was top on my list.
-
Helix - just want to say I love that trooper. Awesome combination of pieces and parts on him. I myself have been concentrating on the clone wars figures but this is highly motivational to make a move back to Legacy figs. Great, Great work!!!!
-
hallehujah or someting..... thats great cant wait for more
-
Hello, Im new here.
You, sir, have some fantastic ideas. Well done! :)
-
why thank you, welcome to the yards!
-
Alright now heres the Spec Ops Stormtrooper, the scouts squadmate. Let me know what you think!
Wow, one of my favorite customs! I like the paint and the parts you used to build it. It really brings out how detailed the base Biker Scout sculpt really is and with your own creativity shows how cool it can be. Didn't recognize the rifle, where is it from? Did you have to custom build it and would you be willing to share a little more with your technique for making the figure?
-
AWESOME!!! :o :o
coooool custom
-
why thank you, welcome to the yards!
Thank you Helix88. Good to be here.
-
Just about fainted when I saw that AWESOME, new custom! That is really cool. Great idea, btw! Can't wait to see more. bbfet
-
Yay! i just got my deathstar gunner in the mail and can start customizing him as a squadmate! :D
-
Great job Helix.
-
Ok, I've completed my Gunner squadmate and Surpize! its a chick! Let me knowv what you think! I also have just recieved my AT-AT pilot and can now start on him.
-
wow! thats wicked
-
Helix, you never cease to amaze. I really like this one. How about a recipe?
Headed to the front page.
-
Ok then, from the waist up shes got a ROC scarlett torso, hands, and upper arms. her head is a shaved down and painted young beru lars, as are the hips and upper thighs. the armor is cut from a bunch of gundam figs i had lying around. the helmet is a death star gunners, and the lower legs are an HK-47 right leg. the left leg is a strormtrooper thigh with a AOTC clones knee joint , with a left shin and foot from a ROC covergirl. this bitch cost me some stiches and 3 days in a splint because i sliced my nuckle with a razor. i'm all healed now but will have a scar
-
awesome custom!
-
coooooool custom!!!
-
Helix Strikes again! Man that is one crazy parts mix, glad you gave the list as I was wondering a few pieces. It all comes together nicely and I love the Gundam pieces as added armor. The black and grey is sweet but the addition of the green really makes it for me and sets it apart from what you see done useualy. Great idea going with a chick and I love seeing battle hardened troops with robotic parts. Very creative!
-
OMG Helix. She's fantastic! Great parts use. I wouldn't want to meet her anytime soon :P scary!!!
-
love it, Love it, LOVE IT!
Excellent custom, I foresee this squad looking minty fresh!
-
prety cool, the rebs will be to busy staring to start shooting right away, great job
-
thanks, thats just what i was trying to go for ;D
-
Fantastic looking Gunner girl Helix
great job
10/10
-
Helix88,
Your Gunner girl is a very creative custom. Your use of parts is inspired and the execution looks great.
-
ANOTHER STUNNING CUSTOM! sux to hear about your knuckle, bro....
-
Helix, she looks great! What body did you use for her?
-
Looks really good! Like the colour of the armour! Nice work!
-
Nice job on the gunner. bbfet
-
Helix, she looks great! What body did you use for her?
An ROC scarlet figure i think, the hips are from a young Beru Lars. I just spliced them together, and the armor is add ons from scrap gundam parts.
-
That gunner is just sweet. I can't wait to see the next squadmate. Did you say you were doing up an At-At Gunner?
-
That gunner is just sweet. I can't wait to see the next squadmate. Did you say you were doing up an At-At Gunner?
yup, he's yours if you want him
-
WE WANT MORE!!!
-
Damn great custom and the parts you used blend in really great together.
Ron
-

yup, he's yours if you want him
Uh, is this a trick question? I am all in.
Now back to the update. I like it. It looks just like your art. I didn't know you had it put together already. that helmet looks pretty seamless to me. On the front page.
-
very nice figure helix. I've missed seeing your work. Always impressive. I realy like this one's color scheme, all for one thing. the visor color is just throwing it off for me. The entire figure has an awesome earthy tone to it and the bright neon green visor is just too stark a contrast in my mind. I'd have gone with a dark silver or dark green instead of the neon color. You could still do green, just not that bright...
that critique aside, the rest of this figure is an awesome combo of parts. How do you like that new bespin luke's hips? I've yet to pick up that figure and now I'm thinking I realy need to.
The belts and holsters pluss the cloth kama you've got here pull this fig together nicely. I also like the changes you made to the jetpack, the shortened missile and cut off nozzles change the pack just enough to make it look original but still that classic "fett pack" look.
I realy like the visor. I would have probably just used a visor from the clone figure but the scratch made visor you've come up with looks great. How did you construct it if you don't mind me asking?

i still might repaint the visor it was green then light blue then back to green, so its still up in the air the visor was made from a NVG mount from the ROC pitt commando and some scrap plastic, i had it glued on at first in a way that it would stay up if i pushed it up. but went to your pin trick in the end the worst problem i have with the fig is keeping the fett body in those luke hips
-
helix88 that is one sweet mando love the scenic background
-
Awesome Mando. I do agree with Spudafett about the green though. But hey everyone has their own tastes! Nice work!
-
Nicely done. ;)
-
Dude, that has got to be the best Mando I've ever seen. That's saying more than you know. Honestly, I'm too intimidated by your skill level to comment further.
Sorry.
-
Once again really nice work
-
I am looking at this again this morning and am thinking I really like the yellow on the "T" faceplate. I think perhaps the flippy vizor might look good the color of the yellowish tan color liks is on the helmet and shoulder pads, making it integrate with the helmet and the rest of the armor a bit better? Still, this is a great custom. I love the look of the Mando bucket with the vizor. I hope the rest of you good folks just copy the heck out of this and make tons more.
Helix, is there anychance you could share your trick of making the vizor and connecting it to the Mando bucket?
-
I have to admit, that when I read your parts receipe, my eyes popped out of my head...How could you get vintage parts to look so incredibly awesome!!!
Then, I realized that you meant "new-vintage", not "vintage-vintage".
But, that does not take away how amazing that figure looks. Absolutely amazing.
And, if you are taking a poll, I like the visor color as is.
Good job.
-
Outstanding!

I picked myself up a bespin luke today and after messing with it realized how it was constructed, with the ball socket in the bottom half... now I can't remember, does the new vintage boba have the same ball socket style torso joint? if so did you have to modify it in any way for the two new parts to fit together? I'm thinking about trying to make a rebuilt mando in this style with nothing but SW parts for once, since hasbro is finally doing ball-jointed hips I may be out of a customizing style using the joe parts!
-
THIS IS AWESOME DUDE O0 O0
-
this is awesome . the couler , the visor , everything
-
Dude!!! I love this figure. And I love how you combined two of my favorite new figures as well. I like the different helmet setup for a Mando. I think since a lot of Mandos are bounty hunters they would have different gear and not all look the same.
-
I forgot to mension I like the rock in the background for a dio. Checkout some of my customs I posted recently, thanks.

the hips are similar but a bit different on the new boba some cutting on the luke hips or boba torso should be enough to get them to play nice
-
Dude that is one badas# Mando. Love that guy. Sprywalker did one with a speeder a few months ago - that one and this one would make one awesome team. Great Work man. Very nice, very detailed.
-
that's a fantastic looking custom Mando figure Helix
the paintwork and the micro binoculars are absolutely amazing
great idea to use the new Vinatge Bespin Luke hips for a better articulation
great job
10/10
-
I love how the combo of those hips and lower legs work. Looking good, Helix. I like how the visor turned out.
-
helix, I don't want to steal your thunder by posting this but I think it realy drives home exactly what you did here.... I put together my own combo of these parts and grabbed a shot of the two original figures besides the kit-bash
(http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/249/1/e/luke_kast_by_spudafett-d2y4y58.jpg)
folks you don't understand the effort that helix went to to get this put together... if its anything like what I had to do to get mine to work right it's pretty awesome. The boba figure doesn't have the ball-jointed torso like luke does, so he had to bash the pegged ball into the upper torso of boba and then make sure there was enough clearance for the luke hips' socket to fit up onto that joint. THEN he had to trim down the luke hips to fit snuggly into the curved inside portion of the boba chest piece... not to mention the pegs on the boba knees are larger than the pegs on luke's knees... so that had to be heated and expanded to get a good fit there.
and to top off ALL of that kit-bashing he created his own helmet visor from scratch!
awesome work helix, got any suggestions for a color scheme on my version? I don't want to copy yours strait out!
-
nice ones

thanks. I havn't decided yet what I'll do with it. I'm thinking about re-doing my desert mando using this as the base.

i think that would be a great idea

wow, what a fantastic idea, like it very much!
great color scheme :D
-
Helix, I love this guy, from the subtle mix of parts to the choice of colours. You have done a fantastic job!
-
truly amazing!!!!!
[/font]
-
He looks great, Helix! I love the use of parts and paint schemes.
-
as I said on deviantart, this is one of my favorites of yours so far. I love the color scheme, and of course I love the parts choice... but your expert detailing in your painting is on par with clint's superb skills and that is what makes or breaks a custom.
for instance, I can bash together those same exact parts and yet once I paint it it will look like dog-doo standing beside your piece of art.
Will you please get a shot of the range-finder side of the helmet, I'd love to see how you attached a movable visor to the removable helmet.
the cloth kama is just icing on the cake too, superb!
the only thing I'd do different if I were you would be find a more "hard ass" head sculpt. that jodo-kast head sculpt just looks too much like a pasty noob young kid to me... lol
-
cool mando!!

yeah that jodo kast head is just a placeholder for a while till i find a new head, i'll put up a couple pics of the rangefinder as well
-
I just put a straight pin through the inside of the helmet and bent it to a 90 degree angle, cut it to 3/8 inch long, drilled a pin hole in the eye piece, and glued it to the cut end of the pin
-
Ingenious, Helix - ingenious. Thanks for sharing!!
-
WOW!!!!!!!!! Awesome awesome awesome job
-
dribbleing uncontrollably
-

-
Very cool using a female im with doc waht body did you use for her?
-
Great looking crew! I love the helmet design on the pilot. Guys the female is straight out the box Padme arena escape outfit.
-
the female fig is the gunner in the swampspeeder. the pilot is, well, the pilot. the lower arms on the gunner are, on her left a lower arm from the deena shaan comic pack, and the other is from a GIjoe ROC scarlet fig. the hands are also from deena shaan. on the pilot hes preety much just a stock a wing pilot from the evolutions pack with a harness that came from a GIjoe knockoff. i gave him longer sideburns and a gotee. i took a portion of a GIjoe Anthony "flash" gambeli's mask and fitted it to the helmet.
-
very cool Helix i love the pilot
-
ok i forgot to post a tool kit i made for the swampspeeder as well. i figured if its got that removable panel then whoy not make a little kit of tools so the can work on the speeder, so here it is

-
Helix, I thought the female trooper you did recently was awesome, but (picking tongue back off the ground, shoving back into mouth) this clone has become an instant inspiration and person favorite! Nice paint scheme and the addition of the pouches makes this guy top-notch. Where did you find the pouches you used on this guy? Again, this is cool as cool can be! O0
-
Where did you find the pouches you used on this guy?
they came from my pouch and belt bin , ithink the one on the arm and thigh are from bespin lukes belt

My, he is a sharp one! I like the soft goods kama and that back slung holster. Was that a scratchbuilt item?
-
That is one awesome custom! Great job.
-
Incredible custom man!
-
that is sweet looks great :o
-
Oh man that is all kinds of bad ass! I love red troopers. I realized this when Hangerbay94 did a few. I love everything about it. The paint work is so well done, the black detail lines, the weathering, the soft goods kama and holster. HOME RUN!
-
As I posted on DA, this is a great figure. The black detail lines are incredibly strait and finely detailed. IT realy pulls this custom together. The soft goods kama is great, although I would have used a fabric with a smaller weave, as this looks out of scale slightly.
The icing on the cake though is the slight weathering you've added to the kama and the figure with the dusty colors brushed on. I love it.
-
BAD@$$!!!!!! This guy looks great!
-
wow very impressive clone trooper and that soft kama looks awsome i need to learn to do it for my self one day
-
SO GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Sweet, expect to see this one on the fp soon.

God, that is really high-quality work! I love the weathered tone you created with the red. Awesome job!
-
Insanely awesome :)

it should be fixed now
-
That is awesome Helix. Love the details in the painting, particularly on the forearms and lower legs. Nice green for it too. Great job.
-
Thats a cool stormie :D
-
helix, I do believe thats one of the prettier troopers that you have done and that is saying something. tell us about that one shoulderpad.
-
just the colored portion cut from the original pauldron and glued to the shoulder with a dab of silver for snap fasteners
-
Great paint-apps! I'm sure he makes "boots" incredibly nervous. ;)
-
Very cool creation!
I dig the clean paint apps and the choice of colours and pattern.
-
now THAT is a thing of beauty!
-
helix your work continues to astound me. The paint apps are truly beautiful on this figure. The scout trooper belt works extremely well on the storm trooper, I realy like it! The way you create your shoulder pauldron/pads always come out stunning, I am definitely going to try that technique one day.
And I've said it time and time again, but I'll say it again... those fine detail lines you put into every figure really make the paint-apps and the sculpts of the figures pop!
stunning work.
-
On the front page, Helix.
-
WOW!!!
That has to be one of the best Stormtrooper I have ever seen!!!
Great color and Painting on this guy!!!

-
This guy is friggin' swwweeet!
Love the parts use; awesomely creative! These are the kinds of guys the best: can't see their faces, don't know where they're going, usually trouble ensures!
That gun is awesome! I see that the base is the Boba Fett blaster, but what else did you include to create that look?
Great job all around!
-
Outstanding job on him...he is fantastic!
-
That is a superb custom, you've got the shading on the clothing so perfect, it looks totally professional. The mix of parts and the choice of colours makes this my favourite custom of the week!
Your recent post has made me go back and review your entire thread...you have some of the best customs on the Yards here, and I recommend to anyone who's not seen your collection to do the same. AWESOME CREATIONS!

Awesome!

This dude is awesome, and extremely well done. I think he would fit perfectly into the world of Hangerbay94's fan fiction Star Wars Apocalypse.

Looks incredible!
-
Looks even better up close! This guy is really, really cool...again, awesome job!
-
Late to the party, but that scavenger is awesome....simply brilliant. I really like the monochromatic paint scheme. It can be tough to pull off but I would say you were amply successful. Nice work.
-
This dude is an awesome and unique custom, had to Ship-card him. Thanks.

Here we go! Meet the newest member of the special ops family, tell me what you think! [at1]
From walkers to speeders, and capital ships to escape pods. This guy can handle them all in a way that would impress the dark lord of the sith himself.

That spec ops pilot rocks! Very well done on making him look fierce!

-
I love the paint work on this guy!
Me too. I should have him in hand by the end of the week.
Glad you got him okay i was wondering if you could give me a like/dislke type critique on him if you dont mind, so i can get a better feel for what somebody likes in a figure they would purchase
-
Anthony, that is a great idea and one I will try to take some time to do thoroughly here in the near future.
My initial thoughts were that this figure is way better in person that the pics. There are some very small areas that recieved some very straight and crisp paint applications and the just heavier look on this AT-AT Driver type pilot sure does make me wish all Drivers were like this.
Thank you for being willing to part with him and I need to make sure I go give you a feedback point too. Ofcourse I am way behind on updating the feedback section.
-
love you customs, and that spec ops trooper is really awesome.
-
Bugger's been promoted! Now an ARC Airbourne Trooper. more shots coming soon, let me know what you think.

That's a very cool custom ARC AB Trooper.
-
some better overall shots
-
great job, like the use of the plant as a great photo op,it looks alien, but the custom itself is awesome too.
-
:D Very awesome! I'm really digging the new Vintage style clone troopers; cool to see another custom of one. How'd you make the shoulder pauldron? Very cool.
-

its half of the galactic marine shoulder pads, with random bits of straps
-
Very nice, I had wanted to use the Airborne helmet for the Capt. Fordo Vintage figure, but it was a tad bit loose... Is the one you used a custom mold? And for the kama did you just use some random piece of cloth? I usually have to cannibalize old Jedi Robes, or snips of the Emperor's overly huge robe. Very cool custom man.

i glued some thin strps of plastic inside the helmet for a better fit, and the kama is just cut from an old t-shirt
-
Very sweet, definitely quality to strive for!
-
Really nice job on the helmet paint apps; the design you incorporated looks great.
I really like the shoulder pauldron and the leather-like straps; gives some nice realism to the fig.
-
Sweet!
-
Awesome!!! Those paint apps and the straps make him him stellar. Nice job H88! ()rr
-
I have to say that this ARC Airbourne is probably my favorite custom i've done so far. thanks for the comments guys

-
Burnt on clone customs!!! Man I can stare at 10X the grand army of just repainted clones!
-
Wow, sorry it took me so long to get to this. I think that is one of the best Airborne Troopers I have seen. On the front page.
I still love that AT-AT Driver Pilot. He is even better in person. Thank you for letting me have him.
-
Awesome stormies especially the royal guard and spec ops ones. And about Bugger; one day Bugger was torn apart by a wookiee in a forest, poor Bugger.
-

-
the clone bugger is awesome, and the spacer turned out really cool as well.what belt is that on him BTW?i like it.

I'm going to be doing more of these kind of figs, I really enjoy the challenge of making a plain clothes guy fit into the fabric of the star wars universe!

That is a great lloking figure and I love characters like this!

Very cool!

I like your Spacer. I could definitely see him fitting into any SW Spaceport. On the front page as are more comments.
-
Spacer is really cool.
-
spacer looks wicked dude . like Tamer said he looks good in any SW back ground
-
I'm really liking this guy...my favorite characters are these background-type guys. Very impressive use of colors and a wash to give him that gritty feel.
-
Very Cool! I really dig what you did. Looks like he would have some kind of suped up fighter-style, hot-rod kind of ship. Do you have custom ship to go with him?
-

I've been trying to find him a good match for a ship but have been unable to find one that I think fits his personality. I figure a smaller courier type ship would be cool. Though I can't find one I like

How about this one?

Really nice spacer Helix - the choice of parts is flawless, as is the paintwork!
-
That Spacer looks cool. I really like the color scheme and the helmet is top notch.
-
That spacer looks great. Perfect SW feel and great execution. I really like your choice of parts and colors. The helmet is cool too, I can see that guy swoop racing.
-
I've been combing through your thread (I have catching up to do) and I am loving your customs man!!
-
Thanks for all the feedback on my spacer guys, I really appreciate all the praise. I am going to have a few pics of his ship I just finished over in my vehicle thread up in the next day or two, it's based on the Gijoe black dragon VTOL , see you there!
-
Great spacer. Love the figures you create! From build to paintwork. Always perfect!
-
I'm still alive and customizing but haven't had much free time lately but here we go, a WIP mount for my madolorian ranger, the base is a Allosaurus with a beak and accentuated crests sculpted on with "green stuff" then painted black, the lower jaw is articulated ant the wrists have been articulated as well. the saddle is mostly finished, just needs straps and pouches and such.
-
DINO-RIDING MANDOS! HELL YEAH!
-
Very cool creature and love the saddle sculpt!
-
Looks great. On the front page. Good to see you are still customizing too.
-
Very inspiring, I've wanted to do something similar but haven't found the right dinosaur
This chap is perfect
-
Cool Looking dino dude! Did you Add the joints to the wrists? or was it made that way if so sweet. and I need to pick up another one, On my dino I had to cut his arms off to fit the rider on the back. Can't wait to see this one done.
JW
-
Oh man, that is fantastic! I love creatures and this looks more Star Wars-y than I thought when looking at your post heading. Going to be following your progress on this one, for sure!
-
This look's amazing! Cannot wait to see it done! ;D

-
Awesome!
-
very nice. Update is on the fp.
-
hahaha this is sweet! Reminds me of the episode of Harvey Birdman where they travel to the past/future and they screw something up in the past and they encounter cowboys riding dinosaurs with machine guns! Can't wait to see more!
-
I love this dino-rider mando! Very nice work with the Greenstuff, you did an amazing job matching the dinosaur skin textures. Really well done can't wait to see the end result.
-
DIG IT!!!
-
So awesome. Give us a whole crew of Dino Rider Mandos!

Simply sensational work so far mate, with the work you have alrady done and then the paint apps is going to put this over the top I can't wait to see it when it's complete.
Ron
-
Very, very cool - gonna look spectacular when finished!
-
I would love to see the articulation go into the legs too... but I know that'd be pretty dificult to do.
I love what you've got going so far. This is such a cool project.
-
Is it a Jurassic Park dino?
-
That looks awesome
-
Great custom and I love the clever use of a dinosaur as it's pet! very creative indeed.
-
i've noticed a few of you have been wondering where i got that dino, it was at Hobby Lobby and the brand was pojo
-
i've noticed a few of you have been wondering where i got that dino, it was at Hobby Lobby and the brand was pojo
Thanks...there's a brand of dinosaur statuettes at my local Meijer chain that I thought you might have grabbed this from, but it didn't really match what you had. I guess I'll be checking out HL soon... ;)
-
Awesome mate, simply awesome!
-
i messed up the name of the dinosaur toy, it's a papo allosaurus
-
Sorry for the wait, work got really hectic for a while there, but now she's all finished and out for a ride! Her name is "Drooga" a mount for my madolorian ranger, think of her as a Labrador trapped in a dinos body. the base is a Papo Allosaurus with a beak and accentuated crests sculpted on with "green stuff". Added articulation at the wrists, elbows, and shoulders. the saddle, also green stuff, has added greebleis and a rifle scabbard, and wire accents the straps are some scrap vinyl with working D ring sinch out of craft wire. The paint work was a bitch, lots of washes and dry-brushing. Let me know what you think!

That is one AWSOME ride! Where did you get the dino to begin with?
-
That is one AWSOME ride! Where did you get the dino to begin with?
i think it was at a hobby lobby, yeah probably a hobby lobby
-
Now that is one of the coolest rides I have seen for a Mando in awhile. Awesome work.
Reminds me of that first time I saw Boba on that Holiday Special Cartoon riding that Brontosaurus look dino. Back on the front page.
-
I have been waiting to see how this one would turn out when you were finished and, let me tell you, you don't disappoint! As a huge creature fan, this has got to be one of the coolest-looking creations I've seen. Your work has really paid off in a very big way!
The paint details appear immaculately done: dulled, dirty, and very realistic. I particularly am impressed, though, with the articulation you added to the wrists/forearms. If you don't mind sharing, what approach did you take to adding the articulation? What pieces were involved?
Phenomenal work!
-

Phenomenal work!
i basicly cut the arms off at the shoulder and cut thte fused joints out of the arm itself. Drilled holes on the end of each peice with a dremmel tool for the stem of the joint and hollowed a shallow bowl at the opening so a ball joint can recess into the depression slightly. found an appropriatly sized ball joint for each point of articulation and cut them off so there would be a flat surface to glue the bal joints on to, the stems where shaved down so that they are a simple peg with a slight flare on the end, the longer the better, and test fit and adjust throughout the prosses when youve got them all together its time for some green stuff to cover the seams and imperfections then paint it all up to match

what did you use to articulate the arms
-
That's really cool Felix. You did a good job on those.
-
what did you use to articulate the arms
ball joints from arms and legs in my parts bin
-
This one has generated a lot of questions on our FB Page too.
Helix, I take it this is the Papo Allosaurus correct? I am trying to answer a few of the questions. I can see there is just awesome work that has been done to the arms on this too.
-

-
Awesome job, the paint work and scuplting are great. Very cool.
-
Dude, this is so awesome! I love how you added articulation to a mostly static dino fig. I saw one of these just the other day and I put it back 'cause I knew I couldn't do as good a job as yours. Nice work!
-
I would love to see a tutorial of how he did those arms! Wow, one of the coolest beasties I have seen in awhile.
-
That is AWESOME!!!
Great Job on both dino and Mando..
TIEpilot

-
WOW! You have knocked this custom out of the park!Great job articulating this thing! The sculpting is superb and your paint aps are flawless! I can see several layers in the beasts scales. This is a true masterpiece!
-
Love it.. I saw some of those articulated jawed Dinos when I was shopping for some animals to hack up and make some Ninja Turtle enemies. I love what you did, from the saddle, to the articulated arms, to the Mando.. Any plans on making anymore?
-
awesome. Simply awesome. The paint work, the attention to detail with the green stuff accents, absolutely amazing.
Color me jealous. I want to do one of these even more now for myself... just got to find a cheap dino I guess.
-
That dino-mount is just friggin' awesome!!
-
been gone for a while due to work and other stuff. but i have a new Jedi to show for what little free time i had, A Kubaz jedi scout, based off the VC Quilan Vos figure, with custom lit and unlit sabers, belthook and wire loop on the sabers so they can hang freely, and jedi communicator. the head is a old garindan from POTF i think, with the head dremeled out to fit on the vos neck. let me know what you think of it!

I just want to take a moment and say Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. And, if you will allow me to share (via my faith and worldview) this is one of the most special times of the year, at least to me. I am truly thankful to God above for His grace, mercy and salvation. He has richly blessed my life. I have the blessing of an amazing wife, beautiful children, and a loving family. I am also thankful that I live in this great nation. I hope you have a chance to take a moment today and look at your life and reflect on how fortunate you are. I also want to make a statement to the ISYs in general that even though we don't all know each other personally and face-to-face, I am thankful that in our hobby we have a common place to share our creations with one another. Happy Thanksgiving enjoy some turkey!!!

been a while but i've finally had time to post some WIPs of a few projects, a Reptilian jedi a female smuggler, and a desert mando with a wip helmet also. the jedi is mostly kit fisto with a sculpt over a hrchek kal fass head and bossk lower legs and feet. the smuggler is the concecpt starkiller hero torso/head, vc deleted scene luke hips/thighs/upper arms, padawan anikan hands, xizor lower arms, and vc clone lower legs/feet. may still chang him up but as he is the desert mando is a combo of target villan set sandperson lower legs/feet/hands, obiwan upperlegs/thighs, vc esb boba for the rest. the helmet is a mix of naboo royal guard helmet and jangos helmet.
let me know what you think!

The wips looks good to me. My favorite is the Rep. Jedi.
-
Nice wips all around. I like that "sando mando" bucket.
-
Good to see you back around! Update on the front page.

back with some new stuff. taking a break from the WIPs i have going to finish up a couple of things i've had on the back burner.the droid is stock with a new cannon antenna cluster and new paint. the trooper is a jokersquad female stormtrooper with sandtrooper legs a custom head and a snowtrooper pack with an added antenna.
A particularly glitchy imperial era DSD1 dwarf spider droid "Buzzer" and his female chiss handler TK-2436, or "Zara" as her squad knows her.

That Chiss Female Trooper is just for the win! Off to the front page I go.
-
Nice, Zara is looking awesome, gotta love Chiss!
-
Very very clever and just the sort of thing I love. The Chiss are one of my favourite SW species, I'm a big trooper fan and the droid handler little twist sets it off to a tea. Lovely stuff.
-
Helix that looks the shit!
-
Awesome customs and really cool wips man.
-
Awesome update! Really great work and I love your style.
-
Very cool Stuff, like the idea with the Spider Droid. :)
-
I really like them! :) Great work! :)
-
The paintwork on the spiderdroid is very nice. What head is that on the WIP reptilian Jedi?
-

-

Anything Mando is Cool! This is no exception! I really dig the detail! Keep 'em comin'!!!
-
Looks great. Back on the front page.
-
Really cool! The lower leg armor is really sharp, and the helmet is probably my favorite thing on this mando next to the awesome paint job.
-
Beautiful figure and love the detail. Those lower legs just stand out to me , very good choice.
-
I like the leggings on this fig. Very cool!
-
Most Excellent! That is one cool figure! I like everything about it.
-
Very cool! Love the brown color scheme; I used those Steve Rogers leg covers on a custom too. Those are nice pieces for customizing.
-
really love the brown and helmet combo
-
BEAUTIFUL MANDO!!

Wow! Just went through your thread. Very nice work! Really dig that Mando on the Dino mount! Great troopers too!
-
Hey, I was just talking about you a few weeks back. Great to see you around. Off to share your update on the front page.
-
Nice paint on that one. Looks nice and arty.
-
So Awesome! Love the color scheme and it's a femtrooper to boot! Great work!
-
I like this!
But, I have a question.......I'm the type that likes to know how stuff works, like the backpack on the sandtrooper, how does it keep the trooper cool, or the snowtrooper, how does that pack keep the trooper warm, etc.......so my question is, what are the hoses for, what do they do?
-
Awesome! Not enough FemTroopers!
-
what are the hoses for, what do they do?
Maybe some type of active cooling system, infrared masking system, cloaking system, etc.
It will be interesting to find out.
-
She looks great! Nice color scheme; is that copper? Looking forward to seeing that speeder bike!
-
Another fantastic figure Helix.
I like the matallic paintwork.
To use wire for the stock of the weapon is a great idea.

an active fluid exchange system for cooling in high temp environments, fluid cooled in the back unit is pumped from a reservoir in the chest-plate throughout the body-glove and back to the cooling unit, that and it was a zam wessel torso and i had to cover those holes somehow
-
Desert ops Scout is outstanding! Great paint aps, a lot of detail and the color choice is tops.
-
Great color choice on the scout! Some really cool stuff here
