Help with my first diorama
« on: April 24, 2011, 03:45:34 PM »
Hi! I am making my first diorama. I´ve already built and  partially modificated an eta class anakin starfigther, bought and modificated some figures from hasbro battlepacks unleashed. Also built some droids (no from star wars) and modificated them to look like "prototype" andvance commando droids. I think the scale is 1/24. I wanted to put in the diorama commander Colt and others clone troopers that does not exist in that scale. Can someone give me an advice working with that scale (1/24), about constructing or modificating clone troopers in that scale.

Thank you!

PD: i will upload photos of the work i´ve already done when i have time

Tiny trooper head

Copckit anakin eta (still hace work to do)

Droids I build and painted (kind of "prototype droids")

Mate as you more then likely guessed you'll have to do alot of scratch building but you can get model kits such as figures and cars in 1/24 scale.

I have been full with exams , work and other stuff.

I will be uploading photos of one dio I made about luke visiting mandalore capital city Sundari while seraching for clues of Bobba Fett after he took Han Solo.

The other stuff I will upload is great modificaton of a cheap chinesse action figure of a hunter, to a really nice smuggler from old republic era. Hope you like it.

Welcome to the shipyards, Kaleb! Is that an erasure you carved that clone head from?

No,I made a ball with DAS molding (kind of plasticine) and then scratch building, with a knife made the holes, visor and such things.

Thanks! =) But this diorama is kind of 1/72. Got to do everything with a lens.  I am still working in the 1/24, just got to do the ambientation.

1/72nd scale? Your sculpting skills for such a small scale are downright amazing then!
