another update.... this time; Mandalorian snubfighters and gunships! well; if Kuat System Engineering/Drive Yards made fighters for the Mandalorian Supercommando group after the Firespray class and the Eta-2 Actis fighters...... and recolors of the Mandalorian test pilots; with an extra item on their helmets!
the Snub and Gunships!  the Snub is similar in some ways to the Eta-2's cockpit pod, with a little different front, and is approx in the class of the A-wing/R-22 Spearhead fighter, making it a quick tough little fighter with variable geometry foils and blaster turrets; while the gunships takes after the Firespray class and the Kenner Sentinel pod Mini-Rig

Test Pilot group; could be SuperCommando pilots for the above fighter/gunships...

I have yet to try a vehicle custom, but I may just grab a Yoda line mini-Slave 1 now.  That's the perfect size fodder for this amazing concept.
Are you OK with me using your concept CamoDeafie?

UPDATE:  Good news.  They are now $10 at my local Marshalls.

another update!
a female Mandalorian; I know, purple and light blue on camo......well; fashion statement! :P

a comparo of X wing and ARC-170/X hybrid/Ugly; flying together with S foils open

My interpretation of the Mark 1 Z-95 Headhunter; as described by Brian Daley in Han Solo, At Stars End; in this book; he describes the Z-95 as having the following attributes;
1) Variable Geometry swing wings; (KEY attribute 1,)
2) Arrowhead Shape (KEY attribute 2,)
3) Fork Tailed (minor)
4) Bubble Canopy
5) Triple Blasters on wingtips (they have to be able to rotate w the wings or they wont be of use..)
6) Twin Engines (KEY difference between later Z-95s with 4 engines)
That said; this is the quick pen sketch of the Mark 1 in both forms and with a much later "classic" Z-95 HeadHunter; one will note that the Arrowhead shape is VERY reminiscent of the Aurek (another variable geometry fighter), R-22 Spearhead, RZ-1 A-wing, Delta-7A/B, and several other fighters.. I have attempted to maintain the central hull and engine appearance of the classic Z-95, so as not to be completely different from the later Z-95s.

thanks all!

here is another update! :D
First up; a customized smuggler's craft! its a small Corellian Gunship set in the top of a wedge shaped craft, with a removable cargo box on the bottom...

a group of pirate craft; in the foreground is an ARC-170 modified with Split S foils based on Booster Terrik's Z-95 mods, with a Venator class SD in the background along with a heavily modified Blockade Runner (now outfitted with a cruciform tower set of 4 turbolaser turrets), and a Medical Frigate (Nebulon-7?)

a hypothetical custom fighter; using an ETA-2 body and custom TIE style wings; could be before TIE, could be after TIE? similar in idea to the Chiss Clawcraft which uses TIE style ball but has different "wings"

these following drawings are of modified ARC-170s; they are basically ARC-170 hulls with the Incom Corporation kit of Split S foils and X-wing engine componets, using Z-95 AF series nacelles,  Incom offers this modification as the ARC-X for people who want similar performance as the X-wings, but cannot afford brand new X-wings; and  due to the ARC's larger hull, Incom engineers were able to cram all the X-wing systems into it, and still have room for 3 seats and tail guns, they also offer a mod in which the rear gunner is replaced by either a cargo bay module or a passenger bay module, for courier/bounty hunter work. This has made the ARC-X  a somewhat popular alternative to the Z-95 and Y-wing in pirate fleets and smuggler fleets, while maintaining the firepower of the X-wings. It is interesting to theorize that had the Rebel Alliance used similar craft to these in place of the Y wings, they might have been able to fight off the TIE fighters in the Trench Run....

and finally; here is a final sketch outline design of the Mark 1 Z-95;

small update; been busy doing rough sketches for a sort of visual story; essentially Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus set in a sci fi universe...

anyways; here is a Corellian Engineering Corporation Escort Carrier/Corvette/Frigate; based on both the Consular and the CR90 series, but with a much larger salon pod than the Consular; and with the 11 engine set up of the CR90; this vessel holds up to 72 X wings in 6 double deck hangar bays; and have 10 single Turbolaser turrets, one double Turbolaser turret, two Ion Cannons in the front; the structure on top is the flight control tower; while the structure up front is the main bridge, with the secondary "battle bridge" below it in the center of the salon pod. Ideally this is an Alliance ship designed to be the main ship of a battle group/task force alongside Mon Cal Cruisers and Nebulon frigates; the firepower on it is enough to take on the much larger ISD crafts of the Imperial Remnants/True Empire factions.

and here is a costume design I am working on for myself; the sketch uses a brown leather coat instead of the black mosaic leather coat, it is basically for a Mad max/Road Warrior/Post Apocalyptic outfit to go with the Post Apocalyptic girl costume, for a friend, and we are planning to go to Comic Con Portland 2014 :D

photos of the costume pieces;

I love the costume design and assembly of parts.
Your drawings are great. I especially like the modified arc 170 and tie designs.

thank you! I love to create stuff...I still have an Y-wing Airspeeder project that's on the back burner, waiting for more fodder parts..

awesome, thanks!

BTW, another update...been on a kinda Corellian kick lately...here are four designs!

first up....a small Gunship from Republic/Corellian Engineering, it is larger than the Eta-2 next to it, but much MUCH smaller than the later DP series of  Corellian Gunships, has 8 heavy cannons in 6 turrets

here is the big brute kid brother of the DP series Gunships, a Heavy Turbolaser Picket Gunship, which due to its 60m size and its impressively heavy firepower, is classified as a Corvette. the turrets are similar to the ones found on Imperial bases and the Death Stars; with this much firepower, this ship is capable of breaking through Imperial blockades, and with a faster rate of firing engineered into the Turbolasers, it is capable of punching through most shields by brute force repeated blasts (EDITED: apparently the DP20 Gunship is twice as big!) there are also hidden concussion missile launchers on the craft

here is a heavily modified/custom built freighter, using parts and pieces from existing freighters, the cargo bay is similar to the forward hold of the Starlight Intruder, while the hammerhead bridge is again, similar to Starlight Intruder and CR70 Corvettes, but smaller and with two quad laser turrets on the sides, while the rear is based on that of the Consular class vessels and CR series turret pods, along with docking rings. there are also two light cannons on the bottom front of the main cargo hold, for fighting off pirates and occasionally patrol and bounty hunter vessels. This gives the crew a better chance of surviving battles and blockades while on the Outer Rim for jobs

This is a collaboration of Corellian engineering, Kuat Drive yards and Subpro Corporation, to make a small snubfighter with three engines that can rotate 90 degrees from horizontal, and has thrust vectoring, it is a relatively heavily armed fighter, with 4 heavy cannons on two turrets and two torpedo tubes with magazines of 3 each. it is being piloted by a Mandalorian pilot. The engine/fin assembly can rotate for landing or for increased maneuverability in space, and the layout gives the fighter an impressive rate of acceleration compared to twin engine fighters, with minimal increase of mass,  making it nearly as quick as an A-wing, and much faster than the T-65 X-wing, with which it is a competitor.

Another great update. My comments are on the front page.

Thank you!

here is another update; yes I am still on a Corellian kick hahaha.....
first up; The Starlight Interdictor; a custom built anti-smuggling ship, with a Mobquet Medium transport cargo hold in the middle, and a Corellian Corvette engine section, the front is a new built hull unit, housing 8 single turbolaser turrets and two double turbolaser turrets; with 4 singles and a double on the dorsal, and the same on the ventral side; there is also a torpedo/missile bay in the tip of the front, and the bridge is armored and well protected in the middle, with two shield generators amidships, along with the standard long range sensor system between the cargo bay and the engine units.

here is a heavily modified Corellian Corvette, with two cargo bay containers from the Mobquet Medium Transport series, and a custom built cruciform structure between them, holding quad turrets. this is a smugglers/pirate freighter/corvette

here is a Pirate Corelllian YT-1300 series, with a central cockpit pod, and in place of starboard or port cockpit modules, the pirates have added heavy weaponry, it is essentially a blockade runner.

here is a custom Light Starfighter carrier, it uses a Dreadnaught style front hold to hold one squadron of 12 X-wings or E-wings, while the center section houses two squadrons, along with 8 single turbolaser turrets and 4 missile bays, it also has a Nebulon-7 series engine unit in the rear, along with the long range comm systems, and a control tower/bridge on the top

another Pirate Corellian YT-1300, called the Crab, it is a heavily modified craft, instead of the usual forward locations of the prongs, they have been relocated to between the escape pods and engine bay, and in place of the forward cargo hold, is a magnetic/kinetic grapple hook, with which the crew uses to latch onto a victim craft. on the portside, where the YT1300 cockpit pod could be located, is an expandable boarding tube and docking ring to force entry on the victim craft, between the hook and the boarding tube, is a large ion cannon to disable the electric systems on the victim craft, along with two laser cannons on the chin of the cockpit pod. it also have two quad turrets in their standard locations.

here is a heavily modified T-16 skyhopper, converted to short range starfighter, with three Incom Fusial thrust engines mounted to it, and two laser cannons in addition to the single light cannon. this is a relatively cheap way to procure starfighters for cash-strapped planetary security forces.

below is an armored skyhopper for patrol use, used by security forces. it is basically a police gunship, but it also has a couple holding cells for prisoners.

and finally, a custom built YT1300, with the central cockpit extended to the far forward, Corellian Engineering Corps also added a large passenger/troop compartment in the front, between the prongs, and added two laser turrets to the front. It is used by planetary security forces as a patrol craft, and is hyperspace capable. the troop compartment can hold 24 armed troopers and in place of passenger cabins, are prisoner holding cells. there is a minimal crew of 2, with the ability to add 4 more crewmembers as gunners, to man the forward turrets and the quad turrets in the center of the saucer section.

man, these are sweet looking. I think hasbro or lego needs to make these and I'd probably be broke buying most of them. keep it up
