This is great! I was just remembering I got a few of my Halmark wants off you last year. Can't wait to get those bad boys out.

It is really looking nice. I am also glad to see you are perhaps thinking Hoth dio later too!

Thanks guys and glad to get everyone in the spirit! I have been slaving away at this every night and have made some good progress. If anyone is wondering how much this is costing me, all the styrofoam was free, my mom works at lowes and it used to protect refridgerators. The glue was $14 and the 6 razor blades were $2 and I spent $6 on white paint. I guess this is actualy another trash to treasure creation. Enough yapping it is getting laate and I am tired so I'll leave you with a few more WIP pics.

Spry, it's looking fantastic!  You're doing so much with this for so little, it's incredible!

My wife would SO disown me!!  My piles are bad enough already, but if I had someone feeding me refrigerator packaging on a regular basis.... :o

Oh, and may I say you have done some WONDERFUL things with all that free trash your mom has lovingly dumped on you!  (my dad's girlfriend saves me styrofoam, too, and my aunt saves me those neat little Crystal Light tubes...)  ;D

DONE! In the Holiday Spirit indeed! Happy holidays to everyone here at the Shipyards!

The wife is very pleased and said to tell everyone the pics don't even begin to do this thing justice. It is hard to photograph with all the lights on and the room is yellow so the whole setup has this glow to it. So feel free to stop by...

Man, if THAT don't score you points with the wifey, she's hopeless!!  ;D  *My* wife took a gander and agrees "that is *really* nifty!"

Now if you guys ever move, you have to take that fireplace with you - that or start over building a new display to fit!

Great work, man - great work.

Merry Christmas!!!  Amazing work.  I would love to do one myself but the cats would do a Godzilla on it.  There's a thought...

L.E., that is absolutely stunning!  Beautiful down to every detail.  I'm not even kind of kidding when I say that you could easily make some GOOD money on the side doing this kind of thing for other people.  Apparently, a current trend going on throughout America is for people to hire others to decorate for them.  To hire someone to create a custom Winter Wonderland like this?  I'm betting you could make Christmas money and then some without any difficulty!
