Sounds good. Every few years I get a gut flare up (will spare you the details). On heavy doses of Anti-Biotics right now, but on the mend I think. Looking forwards, as always, to what you show us next.

Hi All,

Guys sorry about the late reply had some real life issues I had to sought out.

Sounds good. Every few years I get a gut flare up (will spare you the details). On heavy doses of Anti-Biotics right now, but on the mend I think. Looking forwards, as always, to what you show us next.

Great to hear your feeling better mate and I have an update in this forum coming shortly.

Thanks heaps Philipp and yeah mate they are getting harder to find or if you do find them they are extremely pricey. I was lucky enough to pick up a lot of them for cheap from a few online stores here in Australia as they weren't selling but I was the lucky one :).

I can only agree with Philpp and Shawn.

Hi All,

This will be my last dio update for 2-3 weeks as I will having surgery tomorrow to have my ankle fused so I'll be bed stricken for that time. I will have my laptop so I can still answer messages etc but no dio building as the leg has to stay raised
So until the next update for this build in a few weeks please enjoy what I have done so far and take care and stay safe.

Cheers

Ron

New dio is going to a box dio for a custom Indy figure I'm doing. The body for the Indy is a SHF body Kun and the head is a cast from GlassmanCustoms http://glassmancustoms.com/…/unpainted-6-indy-head-cast-du…/ and is an awesome cast and I'm getting the clothing done from a friend over on instagram called ageoftoys https://www.instagram.com/ageoftoys/

The box dio/display so far as been made using foam board and high density foam. The stone work and hieroglyphs were done using a sharp led pencil and the stone texture was done by pressing a piece of sandstone into the foam.

The large stone glyhs on the lower levelare from the Hasbro Indiana Jones play sets that came out years ago and I couldn't resist adding them to the box dio/ display.

I will be adding lighting to it as well and the front section will be removable so that the figure can be put into different positions from time to time.

The new diorama is looking great Ron and I hope you are able to get back to work on it soon.

Good luck with the surgery, I hope it all goes well. Ankle fusion doesn't sound like too much fun.

Off to the front pages.

Hey Shawn, well got home today and since the op the pain has reduced big time, still a little sore but is only because of the op so I'm stoked that the pain has gone down but no model building for me for at least 3 weeks :(

Hi All,

Started a Star Trek dio for the annual model comp coming up in two weeks.
Ships - The ships are from Polar Lights and are 1/1000 scale, I built the Klingon ship straight out of the box and the Federation ship was originally the Enterprise but I have always wanted to convert one so this is my design.

I gave them a prime of matt black and then went over them with Tamiya's Light Grey. The decals are from the kit and I'm just waiting on some custom decals for the Federation ship so I can call it USS APACHE, N.C.C - 1968.  I still need to weather them and do some phaser damage to the Klingon ship and finish of the base.

Thanks heaps Shawn and yeah it's great getting back on the horse again. The healing is going well mate thanks for asking, I'm still on crotches for another 9 weeks and can weight bare in two weeks so hopefully that will go well.
