funny how once your into customizing suddenly everything looks like a jet naccelle, anitgrav-device, gun turret, speeder bike, landspeeder, etc....
I like the troop compartment idea, with gun and ammo racks and some seats for the troops.Clonehead, you're divulging all the secret additions i've added onto my turbo tank lol!!
Great idea, weathering and battle damage is always great, but how did you take apart the tank!!Sorry, just detail dreaming, that's all, Lambon
I've been trying to take the top shell off and i've removed all the screws but it doesn't come off. Im a bit scared to apply some pressure coz it is flimsy in some areas. What do you think I should construct this out of? I am thinking styrene or wood. I don't think foam core would hold up. Any more ideas or construction ideas to be heard?

Art, thanks and man would I love to see this with your touch and landscape in the background.okay, so I got a new project coming up ;)
Thanks guys, Glad everyone likes her so far. I still have a few things left to do. First on that list is the windows I need to make then detailing the interior.
Julian, yes, it does resemble the Twilight. The day I pulled it out of the box Jaxon said the same thing. when I am done I will get some outside shots from several angles.
Guys I picked this toy up at the Salvation Army for $1. Some have said it came from the Imaginex line but I am not for sure. It is a cool little vehicle and when you lower the tail it moves back and forth to knock over Stormtroopers. Beige 4, good eye, that is a painted up Zartan vest and hood. Thanks for the comments guys.

Thanks again guys! It is great to see no one here hates Ewoks! This was a lot of fun and I have several more Ewoks half customized waiting for me to complete them. Jules thanks so much, that is one heck of a compliment.can't wait to see them !
Good grief I am loving that! The funny thing is I have every part you have used and wish I had come up with the sky bike wing to hide that freakin handle! The other set of wings crossed to cover the top is a simple fix and stroke of genius at the same time. The look of your combined parts is quite menacing as well as awesome! Have you done some painting since these photos? The base coat is a key for me/my style of finishing the paint work. I would love to know what colors you are going with. Do you have a vehicle thread?
Road Warrior, I have been missing you around here! Glad you showed up today and I think you are on to something with that name...
those improvements look fantastic!!! Im sure Shawn will love it or is loving it already!
I like this crawler, it looks like it belongs in the SW universe, not made from a lot of highly recognizable parts and it looks used. It also reminds me of the thing "Walle" lived inHey Spooky, have you ever seen HangarBay's Wall-E truck that he turned into a spaceship? That is one of my favorite custom vehicles of all time.

Thanks guys and DO, good eye man.
AFE, you have the idea.
r1b, you are right about an official sail barge.
Ok this is what I got side tracked on Friday after a trip to the thrift store. It was a Power Rangers electronic device as best I cold tell. I removed the bottom and battery compartment with a screwdriver. Then I had to cut out, dremel and sand the top to get the opening in the top. I also had to make a styrene bottom for it and used an old container that held fabric pins for landscape fabric. Next I used a drill to start the blaster marks and finished them off with a box cutter. Next It was sanded, primed and painted a medium to dark brown. Then I gave it 3 washes in black to achieve the color I wanted. Never took time for WIP pics until now and all I have left to do is finish the comand console.

You can see the original brown color on the bac of the handrails. I need to do the washes on them and the inside in a few places. Still figuring out the one or two small guns for the front.
Guys and gals I have finished my vehicle that was posted a good while back. I finaly made time to add the clear windows made from card bubbles. Then I added a few bits to the interior. I talked with the screaming samurai and he told me about some small self adhesive jewels that he uses for simulating lights. I finaly found some at walmart and went to work. The results are below and I am looking for a name that fits the vehicle. Please feel free to throw a few out and keep in mind I think of this one as a mini Twilight.

Twi'lek Mando swoop looks SIIIIIIIICK!!! Off 2 a screamin' start w/ this 1 :)Agreed!
This is really cool but its a halo ghost not a power rangers toy
Thanks guys and Liltofett, funny you posted the old pics as I have been thinking about selling that tank. It was a fun project and my son and I have played with it many times in the past but I am running out of room and could use the money. So it may end up in my sale thread.
Hey triple S, ha ha it's cool man, no worries, and thanks for the facial mask tip. I think it came out OK for my first try but want to improve on the shape of the wear. Only a few spots are circular and I want more of a ripped look. What do you apply the mask with? I used a Q-Tip and a sculpting tool to get a jagged look.
So yesterday I finished up the interior. All I had to do was paint the few details molded on the ship then add a few of my own. After it was painted and sealed with Flat clear I added a few small jewels to simulate lights.

Is that a light grey or a white with washes on the main part of the body? Also I am assuming you use the chipping technique for the red line?

Sadly I didn't go all out on this part as you can't see these details very well when you put it back together. Unless you try real hard...

So now that I am done with Tamers Concept Snowspeeder it is time for a long break, ha yea right, what do you think this is a government agency? I'll be hammering away on AFE's Z'cepter and have more progress shots on that before too long. Not to mention I am always working on things for SW Apocalypse. I know I have not been giving you any WIP images of what I make for that verse so today I am going to drop a little teaser on you and just say that this one will be pretty big.
Anyone want to play name that part?

Weathering on the Snow Speeder has to be 10/10...
Sorry to leave everyone hanging on my vehicle progress. Sadly there has been none. I really need to find a way to harness my creativity. I have a huge problem with getting too many ideas. I have to start on the project to get things worked out in my head, then I shelve it. I need to make myself finish these projects and not start new ones until the last one is done. As for the Sail Barge, I will get back on it one day. It was for the project Jules, Nate and I were working on. Since our writer, Nate, has pretty much left the hobby, for reasons he can not control, I have lost interest. I love the vehicle but it has no use now, would love to finish it one day. I poured a ton of time and greeblies into. I am also under a lot of stress with my work. Trying to find ways to do things cheaper and make a living are the struggles this economy has brought me. I am doing more commissions now, again needing to bring some money in, and I really don't post those. They have all been remakes of characters I made before, so again nothing new. I simply have not had enough time to get in the forums either. I am still here, still creating, just not as prolific as I once was. Oh times, they are, a changing...
