Ok so I had a few yellowed vintage scout troopers lying around and having watched and been inspired by Rasputin's (YouTube vids) customs, I decided to have a go at my first custom.
This was completely from my imagination, but I simply wanted to make a cool looking scout trooper/recon/special forces type figure.
I have a lot to learn, but I would appreciate any feedback, good or bad. Thanks.
SB.

That's a good looking scout, Bass! Welcome to the shipyards!!
By using the image insertion control "looks like a framed pic next to the earth icon", you can insert your photobucket images.
Great job, buddy! Expect this to make it to the front page, soon.

Thanks for fixing my post mate... I posted it from my iPhone, so was a bit fiddly... Ta

That is a wicked custom of a vintage piece! Super nice work! I love the camo apps!
-
superb mate just superb
-
Love it. The camo looks great and now it looks like something out of the clone wars!! Well done
-
Nice custom!
-
Great custom cammo paint aps. ;D

reminds me of the imperial commando from the evolutions pack. VERY well done. You took a crappy vintage figure and realy made a nice piece out of it. I personally don't like the limitedness of the figures and would never have even given it a chance, and yet look what you did with it! awesome!

The more that I look at that camo paintjob, the more I like it. I put your scout on the front page, Bass.
-
Love the camo on this guy.

actually, I probably couldn't do a thing with the vintage figures... it'd have to be one of the legacy style scout troopers that is already mostly articulated...

Thanks for all the positive comments. With this being my first custom I was just trying to do something basic... Was planning to do some mud/dirt washes to dirty him up a bit, but I chickened out... I came across a few hurdles and things I would have liked to have done with the figure but wasn't sure how to achieve them. But maybe I can pick the brains of some of the skilled customisers on here...thanks again

nice urban paint app! Love it!

Looks like a great one to me. I like camo. A lot. Welcome to the Yards.

I can only agree with what's been said..Great customs, especially the detailing on the bike trooper.
-
Looks great and being a huge collector of the vintage line I wish I would see more old school customs.

Again I like this paint scheme and I like the custom. Camo just looks good on any figure.
