:)4 months in the making; just finish off the remaining unmade skiff guards for both skiff! I have really have enjoy the small project!
-
I'm new to Imperial Shipyards and to custom figure; I been following on this boards for many years. I can not express that the board members here have inspire me to use my mind to create the figures that Hasbro has not. It's nice to be able to join the boards, finally!
-
Welcome Stan. I like your guards. Your first post is now on our front page!
-
Great work Stan, and welcome to ISY!
-
Wow! Great job on those Jabba guards! Welcome aboard! Looking forward to more of your work.
-
Great first post! Welcome to the 'yards. Did I see a playmobil headpiece in there? The guards look excellent.
-
great job !!glad to see you posting you work over here ! welcome to the yards
-
Big shout to Tamer for making feel at home! Jedi 1977 it's good see you post here as well looking forward to seeing the second batch of cards! The parts of the skiff guards came off the receipes from Jabbapalacespy from Rebelscum. Luke Spywalkers was another inspiration with guards. I am Boba Fett has help build many of my customs! Working on Mon Calamari Officer now! Thank you everyone for making feel welcome!
-
You are quite welcome, as you can see we are all enjoying your work. I just keep hoping if Hasbro sees folks making these then perhaps they will release a set down the road. Those Skiff Guards and a new skiff would be awesome for Hasbro to release.
-
Glad to see you here at the 'yards Stan! Thank you for the shout out for my help with some of your custom figures. Great looking custom figures you have got here!
-
These are such great customs. They've got everything. Kit bashing, sculpting and beautiful paint apps. Skiff guards are also a personal favorite cast of characters.
There's a customizer on Yakface who is building a Tatooine skiff to proper scale. He'll eventually be offering the parts and also the plans for sale. Think about it.
-
Just finish of Slim Aloo and the Emperor; since it going to a while before Hasbro get to this( or is it), really want to start filling the gaps in my collection. Both are Sa and Slim features a removable helmet and soft good robe. Hope everyone like this.
-
Great customs. Off to share.
-
another great update Stan ! Its horrible the Hasbro has not gotten around to making Sim Aloo yet .
-
That Sim Aloo is excellent. And I know its a bit late but those Skiff guards are top notch.
-
You hit another home run with these latest two figures Stan! 0/
-
Great idea. Can you possibly take a few more detailed maybe closer shots of your Emperor Palp by any chance. That sim aloo is awesome, I might try that...can't wait to see what's next
-
Sure will, it be up by the weekend! Thanks everyone, I just learning threw everyone else on the boards!
-
So i REALLY REALLY like your idea and used your idea for the sim aloo (hope you don't mind) his face still needs painting but I like your idea very much man and i happened to have all the parts literally sitting in my face. Its a brilliant idea for such a most awaited for character by hasbro. What a quick fix. I'm also making a janus greejatus. Here's my Wip sim aloo
-
Looks Great????. Looking forward to see when paint up the face! Keep up the great customs! Working on SA vintage Owen power droid right now!
Getting into water slide detailing! When I have more time I will put up more on the Emperor figure!
-
Just finish off another custom of Hoth, General Rieekan. Legs and arms from Hoth Han! Hobbie is new as well, he can be seen in the background!
-
Great work! Love the Hoth collection.
-
Sorry the picture is loading upside down, that attachment is working correctly. I have got to figure out why the attachments are doing that.
The figures look great Stan, off to share!
-
Stan, thanks for inspiring me to tackle Rieekan the "hard" way. You're really hitting it out of the park with all your figures!
-
Awesome work ! really like the hoth figures turning up ! Keep them coming ! Would love to crank my own out soon !
-
Hey stan I just posted the upgrade to sim aloo and GA Thrawn if your interested to see the turnout still, scroll on over. Thanks for the inspiration buddy
-
My latest creation, combine softgoods and plastic to get a pretty good
Repression of M'iiyoom from Jabba palace. Use a little of the green stuff for his shoulder blades. Let me what you guys think?
-
One more to see how well he blends in with rest of Jabba's minions!
-
One more sleeves little more movie accurate!
-
Terrific! Looking at your Jabba's Palace is increasing my "to do" list.
-
Taking a look at this all I can think of is cool figure and great looking diorama. Off to share in the regular places.
-
I got Mosep in yesterday and I custom his cousin. Pretty simple custom.
Love the figure though!
-
Finish off 2-1B, lighten him up, and yes the knees does have articulation.
Big thanks to Custom Jedi for the inspiration.
-
One more...
-
Great work I really enjoy the use of soft goods on any customs and your minion from jabbas palace just made it better . I did that figure and never thought or bothered to try using a soft good robe on that one .. maybe i will go back and try it one day ! Well done
-
I really like that 2-1B. Off to the front page.
-
Awesome update stan the man ;)
Btw i found that if you tilt your phone to the left (left horizantally only) when taking pictures they will turn out upright. Might help :)
-
I do that next time with phone. Thank you and Jedi1977 for your input!
Working power droid and x wing pilots decals now.
-
Looks great, Stan. The leg articulation is so seamless I didn't think there was any!
-
There is some fantastic work here. The soft goods on the M'iiyoom look excellent and the refresh for General Rieekan was great.
-
Trimmed the beard down to be screen accurate, enjoy!
-
Purchase this kit from Hole in the Ground productions, droid flipper was a lot of fun putting together and painting it
-
Better photo
-
excellent work ! love the droid flipper
-
Latest custom to compliment General Rieekan , the gun holster is from the Rebel Tech. The computer console are
From Hole in the Ground Productions.
-
Looks great Stan!
-
Great job stan. You forgot to turn your phone towards the left again stan :) try to take one more pic of Maj. Derlin trying that my friend! Excellent work

-
Lookin' good, Stan!
-
Nicely done !
-
I really like your work super-articulating figures that really could use it and Shasa Tiel turned out really well.
-
Updated Shasa Tiel, even out her Shoulders with the green stuff! Big thanks to I am Boba Fett for sculpting the torso!
Really good looking Shasa Tiel figure you have here Stan! Thank you for the shout out for my part in it.
-
I finish up on the Lars power droid, this project took about 5 weeks, challenge this was. Parts are from all over the place! Han torture chamber, hoses. radar dishes are from the falcon from hot wheels, the front facings are combination from Torture chamber and Ig-86 inner arms and legs socket. Ballpoint pen inner servers for the curly wire on front. I created the graphics and had them sent to Bedlam creations, thanks Josh!! Of course I use the vintage power droid topping to give it a vintage feel to it!
-
Great job stan
-
Love that power droid. Superb!
-
Got to finish the back, and two more decals, then I done with him and off to Yogxit, Mosep from Jabba Palace
-
Nice, very nice. Off to share. Adding detail like this is just over the top!
-
Love the power droid ! I just finised my version of mossep as well lol I am sure we will be seeing his rotj version alot when the figure is released more !
-
Looks great!
-
That Lars Power Droid is Awesome! Great job on it!
-
Thank all for great comment, big thanks To Tamer for post Lars power droid on front page, Herr the next up is Yoxgit. Top half is from Mosep and the bottom torso and top of legs are from Jabba Skiff guard. The head and the bottom of of legs are from the ugnaught from the legacy. The belt is from the torture chamber. The trickiest thing on this figures was the paint; it a cob inaction of fire red and melon. I had fun with this one.
-
Excellent job on Yoxgit!
-
Thank you, I am Boba Fett. Their is a lot talent on this boards, I learning from everyone here. Finish off the Last
Of the x wing Pilots, Theron Nett! Working on the ball speeder and the escape pod!
-
Fantastic, off to share yet again.
-
I never knew this guy's name. But its an exact likeness. I watched ROTJ just the other day, and yupp that's him. Great job.
-
Keep them coming , your posting some great work here ! I so cant wait to see escape pod and the ball speeder something i to have ordered ! Great job
-
Hasbro has been leaving a lot of detail of the helmets in the past! So I updated Biggs, Red 7,Pops, Tiree helmets with All new water slide detail! I really wanted to finish of the pilots, Red 10 ( Theron Nett) is last for Hasbro to do! Here there...stay on target!!!
-
Wow, they look great. off to share.
Did you print your own decals?
-
I design the them and Bedlam creation print them out!
-
Outstanding !
-
I design the them and Bedlam creation print them out!
That is fantastic! Any chance the rest of us could get our hands on these too?
-
Really like the well aged effect on them.
-
Tamerhere are decal...enjoy
-
Yes sir, along with power droid decals! Send them to imperial shipyards address! Please shot me an email, it vector artwork!
-
You've been cranking out some tremendous work, Stan!
-
These helmet decals are awesome! I've been wanting to do my own Red 10 Theron Nett figure and I tried painting his helmet, it came out "meh". Yours will work perfect!
-
Thank you! It will be great to make these available!
-
Tamer did you get a copy to share with everyone, thanks for everyone for compliments on the labels. Right now I'm at a stand still, waiting on supplies so I can get back to work on some newer customs I have been working on. Ball speeder , escape pod, Mosep from Jabba palace is on the boards right now.
-
Stan, no I did not. If you can send them to:
tamer@imperialshipyards.net
again that would be great. I had an issue last week with JDeck emailing me, I am beginning to think there might be some issue there.
-
I got your message that time and am gonna load em up. Thank You!
-
Tamer, thanks for posting those and Stan, thanks SO MUCH for sharing your terrific decals!
-
Excellent decals Stan! They look great on your custom figures. Thanks for sharing them DH
-
Enjoy the decals everyone; I have a second set on working on that I share eventually! Latest custom is Lando smuggle outfit , big thanks to Darth Daddy and CustomJedi for the receipe! Add the upholstery stap on leg !
-
Nice smuggler, that is my favorite look on lando beside his CC Blue outfit. Off to share.
Thanks once again for the decal use. I talked about these on our last episode of CAFN.
-
Looks great! Thanks for mentioning me :)
-
Love your customs. Your skiff guards are drool worthy!
-
Once again, Stan, great job!
-
Finish off Mosep Jabba Palace, custom the robe and the belt!
-
Fantastic, Stan!
-
Looks great. I have to go share this one.
-
Thanks Tamer and Custom Jedi! Well here a group shop of all this Jabba palace alien since last year! One left, Cane Addis! Take a break from the palace for now. Now on to the ball speeder!
-
Again more great work, look forward to your take on Cain Addis
-
Jabba palace Mosep is another stunning knockout!
-
Jabba palace Mosep is another stunning knockout!
I agree. That group shot is fantastic too.
-
I've said it before, Stan... you have significantly added to my to do list. Superb once again!
-
That's an awesome group of goons. I think they're real cool, individually customized and unique.
-
Captain Antilles is compose of Agen Kolar arms, Han Solo( the black Series knees and boots. The rest comes from the figure. Had to readjusted his neck and boot to get the proper proportions of height. Hasbro colors were so off on this figures ; so now is screen accurate. Put some semi gloss on the boots to make then shine. The hardest part was setting those shoulder joints. Overall I pretty happy with results....
-
I love how you're creating new figures and bringing existing ones into the 21st century. Another great job, my friend!
-
Looks great to me. Off to share.
-
you have done a great job with this one ! Me personally for my customs I am not to keen on setting articulated shoulders in an older body just for the reason you mention, setting them in place . This figure has been on the back burner for a while and again you did a fantastic job I may have to start practicing the technique again !
-
Thank you Tamer, Custom Jedi, Mr Jedi 1977! Here was another hard one. The arms was tough part, upper part coming from rebel commando vintage collection and the lower part coming from Agen Kolar! The lower legs are from Han Solo the black series. The color are now screen accurate. The jacket is from the rebel commando, my first dye job! Thank CustomJedi for suggest to iron the collar down, it works! Next up General Dodonna war room outfit!!!!
-
Another great custom. Off to share.
-
Thank you tamer, waiting part for General Dodonna, hoping to. Have the Ball speeder done this , waiting in the water slide decals to come in!
-
Great job updating the ANH figures. General Dodonna and Capt. Antilles look awesome. Keep em coming.
-
Really liking your custom Dodonna figure! Nice work on it!
-
Purchase the kit from Hole in the Ground Production! Added
Some watermark detailing to it and the green stuff around windows! Thanks again Eric for creAting the ball speeder and Josh from Beldam graphics for the producing the water slide decals for me!
-
Awesome!! I always wondered what that was. Nice weathering!!
-
Outstanding work ! Great weathering but would really like to get a hold of the water slide decals myself as i am waiting patiently for mine to arrive soon !!
-
Your in Luck, more decal are coming, escape and wedge x wing pilot middle stripe revise!
-
Nice work on that Ball Speeder!
-

-
Thank you everyone, here a pic of the escaoe pod with water slide decals
-
Wow, the escape pod looks very nice as well.
-
you are knocking these out of the park ! The escape pod is fantastic
-
That escape pod rocks too.
-
General Dodonnna SA! Glad he done, now I'm can move on to reworking some of old but new customs! First up is Ariel Schous! Ps , just about done sculpting Bob Hudsol head! Readjusted Antilles shoulder, lot better from before.
-
Wow, that one turned out nice. So nice to see SA figures. off to share.
-
Fantastic as always Stan ! Looking forward to seeong Bob Hudsol !
-
Excellent work all round.
Ron
-
Some great updates over the past couple of months. I particularly like Geezum and the Mosep adaptation. Nice job on Dodonna, the articulation is a vast improvement to the character. Keep up the outstanding work.
-
StarChaser and Hemble, thank so very much! It will be a whole before I post any new improvements, sculpting my first head sculpt ever, Ariel Schous! Still working on Bon Hudsol as well! CustomJedi and Mr. jedi1977 has inspired me to rework Boshek, Labria, and Nebrun Leids to follow here soon . By way everybody I just name in clouding I am Boba Fett is why I got into their awesome Site! Everybody keep up the great work!!!
-
It been awhile since I have not updated any customs! Nebrun is now SA!! This one took a while escipally with paint color. Hope everyone like him on the boards!
Update: started with sliver and ended up with white one! It show the pearl metallic paint better!
-
Nabrun Leids looks great Stan! 0/
-
Looks great, off to share. Good to see you back Stan.
-
He does look great.
What was your recipe?
Did you use the white or the silver Nabrun figure as a base figure.
Nabrun is also on my to-do list.
-
Use the white one for the silver will show through the paint! The paint was a pearl metallic, hard to paint u had to wait to between painting. Here a few more..:
-
Use the white one for the silver will show through the paint! The paint was a pearl metallic, hard to paint u had to wait to between painting. Here a few more..:
Sweet!
I have the white one and would prefer not to search for the silver one which is fetching about $20 on eBay.
-
Really nice job on Nabrun. The articulation looks spot on and you really got it right with the paint color. Good work!
-
Wow, even more sa work. Off to share.
-
Here one more SA Cantina figure Myo! Arm and ankle joints. Syay Tune more to come tomorrow!!
-
Just about done updating all Hasbro Cantina figures. Here a new batch of SA figures: Wuher, Labria, Kabe and Boshek!
-
Looks great. I got the one posted yesterday I thought with comments. Lets see if these stay up. Great work. Wonderful to see these move. Off to share again.
-
Just love how you're giving the Cantina Aliens the million dollar makeover.
Have you ever crossed over toy aisles to the Megablock section? They make 2 inch tall SA figures for different genres. The shoulders and elbows are even 3 mm ball joints, perfect for lil'aliens like Kabe. I think you could do wonders with those parts.
Five packs start at $15, but sometimes they go on clearance.
-
Great job on the articulation. It really adds to the play/pose value of the characters. Your execution on these is really excellent.
-
Really like the upgrades or as Sjefke say's the million dollar makeover ! Fantastic work
-
I'm loving what you're doing for the cantina aliens. Hoping someday Hasbro will do the same!
-
Thank you everyone for the awesome comments! Working hard right now to have about three more come to frustration in the next few weeks! But in the mean time, I just purchase the torture chamber from Carl Boumansour! Excellent work; he does! Simply brilliant!!!!
-
Wow, can you leave us a link for that torture chamber? I would love to go check that out myself!
-
Tamer, their no link , I hired him out to build a custom torture chamber to go with my Jabba palace. He did awesome job, still waiting for it to come in.
-
Oh, ok!
-
Finish of Hem Dazon! He now can sit with rest of the Mos Isley Cantina Aliens! Eyes has glitter effect and has elbow that not longer swivel!
-
Awesome work. Off to share on the pages.
-
Thank you tamer for the first page post! Next up is Tessek! Thank you to Custom Jedi for making the skirt and cape! His work is Awesome and he big inspiration!
-
Djas Ohur will the last of the series for this year, should have him done next week , then on to 8D8! Thanks everyone who has commit here on the thread!
-
Tessek turned out really well. Look forward to Djas Phur
-
It was time to get Tessek on the front page.
-
Just great!
I love what your updates of these old figures.
P.S.
Did you get my PM?
-
Grear job stan, can't wait to see what you do with djas phur.
-
Finally finish up the two cantina patrons, Djas Puhr and Dannik Jerrico!
Although we truly do not see below Djas waistline , He now has more
Screen accurate torso and sleeves! Hope everyone like these
Updates of these two characters! Next up 8D8 and Lak Sirvak!!!!
-
Nice work yet again. Off to share!
-
Looks good again. Djas Puhr, in particular, turned out really well.
-
I can't wait to see what you do for Lak Sivrak and 8D8.
-
Something a little different, I was ask to share work in progress pic of Lak! First, dremel out Lak head! Using a rebel commando torso as the base. Use green stuff to sculpt neck and collar. Cut hands of Lak and cut the down do they will fit in arms socket. Hope you like! By the way any fellow customizer know what color Lak jacket really is?
-
Looks like potato-sack brown. You could maybe use The Vintage Collection: Fi-Ek Sirch - Jedi Knight's robe and modify it for Lak's use. Just a thought. Good luck. Can't wait to see the end result.
-
Wow! That awesome suggestion, I will do it! You nail it; I have the robe as well! Get back here soon when get the additional parts in with update, thanks again!
-
Interesting wip, off to share.
-
Your custom Lak Sivrak figure is off to a great start there Stan!
-
Thanks I am Boba Fett! Right now I'm in confuse state! I trying to figure out should use the hand that came with him, I have a reference with with black claws. Then the legs, do do what previous figure has or do I make them straight. I could finish him off, planning is a part of it. So what are shipyards advice?
-
Well o working up a proto on on his tunic, get some input what everyone thinks
-
Awesome! I was considering using the tusken raider cloak, but couldn't get the fit to work. This is great!
-
Can't wait to see the final reveal pics. Almost there!
-
Well he done, it took me awhile figure how in the world I was going to pull of the legs and soft good! Overall I pretty happy, he now can take a seat with his other cantina patrons!
-
I think he looks great. The tunic works and your sculpting on the chest/collar really completes the "look." Very nice job!
-
Wow, look great. Off to share.
-
Nicely done ! I actually used a Naboo pilot jacket for the tunic since it was close to the color but i actully think the tunic you used works really well !
-
Big thanks guys, he was a tough one to do! I got to do a little touch on
Him. Hopefully, I will be finish up on 8D8 later this week! After he done comes a real challenge , Muftak SA with faux fur!
-
Great job on Lak Sivrak there Stan !!! 0/
-
Thanks I am Boba Fett! Here next one 8D8, the torso was pain to cut!
Hope everyone like like him, I keep him simple , not to dirty.
-
Great figure. What can I say, I like the sa work. Off to share.
-
Wow! Nice work.
Did you have a spare BG-J38 lying around for the limbs?
What did you do with the body?
-
His legs and arms B j38, prisons on the inside of the legs are from b'morr monk legs. His torso I cut and Inserted a rod for articulation.
Working on Lobot and muftak at the moment!
-
Great job on the droid. I look forward to seeing Muftak all finished :)
-
Cool deal!
-
Real fur !!!???
Can't wait to see this one, and I'm taking notes.
-
Faux fur, which not real fur! I working on Lobot right now! I got to find a figure with big ball joints for knee joints! Here a pic of the faux fur!
-
Time to get this wip on the front page.
-
Faux fur, which not real fur! I working on Lobot right now! I got to find a figure with big ball joints for knee joints! Here a pic of the faux fur!
Correction
Real faux fur?
Oh, BTW. The Corp figures at Walmart are $2 and they each have four generous sized ball joints, two swivel joints and two hinge joints. One of those figures are cast in light grey/blue plastic too. I used one of them for the legs on my Yakface.
The Corp. Good fodder. Yummmmmy!
-
began Bing of Muftak, long ways to go! Lobot, just finish of sculpting his hand! Waiting on parts for both!
-
The faux hair looks good, I think it will work really well. I'm excited about the final product.
-
Fantastic! Off to share.
Makes me wonder how that would look on a Wampa or Taun Taun too!
-
Awesome! I Cant wait to see this one finished .
-
This is looking so promising.
Ummm, Tanus Spijek and J'quille.....
Just a suggestion.
-
I like where this is going, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Ron
-
This is AWE...SOME!!! Can't wait to see the finished product brotha
-
While waiting on parts ; did exchange of heads on the new ceremony Leia, added a bracelet! The other head was too small! Also added make up!
-
I haven't seen the Black Series Leia in person, but your head swap does appear to be an improvement. Nice job with the make-up :)!
-
What figured did you get the new head off of?
Nice work btw, off to share.
-
It the vintage Hoth Leia head, had to sculpt the back of the head to make it look right. Added the bracelet and make up to her.
-
She looks great!!
-
It the vintage Hoth Leia head, had to sculpt the back of the head to make it look right. Added the bracelet and make up to her.
I thought thats what it was. It looks good. You could mold that head and folks would buy it. That really was a great facial sculpt of Leia. I wonder why they don't reuse faces once they get it correct? Oh yeah, we are talking about Hasbro eh?
-
Cool work!I I saw images of the original, but it looks like an Austrian cowgirl. Yours a thousand times better. ;)
-
well hereeeee, Lobot! Those upper arms are little beefy, everything matches up!
-
Sweet Lobot! Always one of my favorite underrated characters. Awesome to see him fully articulated.
-
So cool to see him able to move fully. Off to share.
-
Thanks JDeck and Tamer, was bought to my attention that he is shorter then Lando a good ways, that pants color should match the vest color. And the shirt is pale yellow white, so I'm making adjustment to him to day. Plus I need to sand all the joints down to get the paint to be smooth down. Then it's Muftak's Time.
-
More work in process for the correct height
-
Found great solution to a Lobot arms , it make a world of difference, I will post when revision is complete.
-
Low bot looks AMAZING, great work!!!
-
Well here is the revise Lobot, shorten him down, Lando is taller! His arms were to bulky , so I went with smaller arms, paint color that Hasbro gave was inaccurate , now matches closes to the movies. End the end, I would like to data big thank to Raylen, Matt, and Customjedi! You Guys are biggest inspiration anyone could ask for!
-
My comments are on the front pages, but yeah looks a lot better!
-
well hereeeee, Lobot! Those upper arms are little beefy, everything matches up!
No more than Seinfeld wearing the pirate shirt.
Looks good. What is your recipe?
-
The neck is from imperial officer from brief scene pack , the arms is Sgt , new skiff guard with a good bit of green stuff sculpt on, front of the arms are from the saga Lobot arms and hands. The legs are from the Saga Libt with the Nikto ball joint knee joints. Had to correct paint color to a more movie accurate. I'm glad he done, now on to Muftak!
-
Yeah lobot looks great. The fur on the Talz looks fantastic too.
-
Really nice improvements to Lobot - keep up the great work!
-
Thank you everyone for the comments, Tamer thank for putting on the front page. Been so busy at work. Muftak, started working on the legs first, the hip area has to be rework for him to be able to sit, I get sone work in progress pic s up by next week! Onc again, thank you!
-
Muftak, is taking little time to put together, the main construction was the legs, few more week of twerking the body structure and he be ready to grow some hair.
-
Lobot turned out great! Muftak is really shaping up to be a cool custom too. Nice work!
-
Muftak is shaping up well. I like the look so far. Off to share.

Outstanding ! That must have required a lot of patience to get the look right ! I like it
-
Muftak is really looking good. I like the texture that the faux hair gives to the figure. Well done.
-
Thanks everyone for the support, it taking a lot more than I figure, but I am patient. Add some soften to the fur this week, and began the final work on him, hand face and feet! Here another work in progress pic for everyone, starting to add color to the fur now,

-
Awesome figure mate.
Ron
-
Humble - remember you are the ones inspiring me as well everyone on these boards, I heard a little bird that share that maybe by next year we will have a new EV-9D9, so I decided to wait a little while before I update her, my friend over ar Yakface.ccm, Raylen, has inspired me to do R2-A3! So I am waiting on my bad droid to come in!
-
Sweet, its kinda hard for me to see the picture, but I will be glad to post an update when I see a larger pic.

The heads are customs one of a kind. I did not use no pre exsisting heads for the ladies. Thank you for the compliments; these were tough to do and I spent roughly last 8 months working on them.

-
Oh yeah, that looks great! Off to share.

I agree with Tamer, the Mobquet speeder looks fantastic! Also the finished Vedain looks awesome - as expected and as FialaFernbrugg said: It will look great on the Khetanna!
Thanks a lot for sharing!
- Philipp
-
Vedain looks great! Great sculpting and congratulations on the casting. Izzy Mel's speeder really turned out well. Thanks for sharing.
-
The speeder turned out great.
Excellent work.
-
Big thanks guy, I have started on a theme now. Would like to get all the figures done on Sail Barge before the end of the year. Just about done with taym dre Garen. I have to cast his torso and let the painting began.
-
That's a fantastic idea! Especially since the Khetanna will definitely see the light of day now that the legion of backers is complete! I'm VERY looking forward of your next projects of greatness until the end of the year! It'll be great to see your Barge filled up with all your customs next year! Keep up the excellent work, please!
- Philipp
-
Taym is looking really good, can't wait to see the paint job.
-
Very nice. Off to share.
Think you will have 182 custom figures to put on this by the time it ships?
-
I was thinking mostly upper guards that was aboard. Here what I had in mind, 182 hah!
-
Looks like a good plan to me.
-
Taym is looking great, and Vedain came out awesome! I can't wait to see what else you have in store!
-
As I said in my last comment: This is a great year! I'm very looking forward to seeing your future projects! There're so many background characters I never saw before - like this one here. Why would somebody wear a warm winter hat in the hot desert? :P
Keep up the great work, please! I guess that makes the long wait for the barge much more comfortable for me and many others. ;)
- Philipp
-

Whoa Stan
The speeders are amazing.
Do you have a reference image of the second speeder with the legs?
I don’t remember ever catching that one.
I even played the Mos Eisley arrival scene a couple of times, but no luck.
-
Nice job, Stan. I really like it.
-
0/ 0/ 0/
Damn!!!! That VOID SPEEDER is incredible. Best custom I've seen in years. NO ONE has ever done this ship? I've seen/trolled 20yr of Sw online and I honestly don't think I've seen it done... Maybe for a diorama or something... But not as a toy itself.
Bravo.
Please share materials so I can make one. I beg of you.
-
The Void speeder looks awesome mate.
Ron
-
Guys soon you can purchase one from Izzy MEl, he got a kit coming.
-
I just picked up my jaw and put it back in place - can only agree with previous response: you got some mind-blowing stuff on deck here! I've neither seen the Spider Void spacecraft anywhere. Very impressive! Thanks for sharing!

Excellent work.
-
I can’t remember if I post this or not but here s Bob Hudsol , SA .
-
I don't think I remember seeing Hudsol (but I could be mistaken) - either way, though, he looks great. I like the head sculpt a lot.
-
Nope, don't remember seeing this one from you. He looks great. Off to share.
-
That Hudsol looks great! I know some collectors on other sites list him as a top 'want' from Hasbro, but I think your version would beat theirs!

Your Bob Hudsol figure looks great.
Excellent work.

General Vander Willard joins custom vintage collection 2018!
-
Wow, spot on with your reference image. Off to share.

-
Your custom figures never fail to impress.
The detailing is phenomenal.
-
Outstanding work, excellent detail.
-
I agree! Your customs look incredibly realitstic! I cannot believe this is 1/18th scale...I just love your series of Vintage customs! Your Khetanna will be crowded with figures! Probably ALL characters of Jabba's palace by the end of the year...keep up your amazing work of art and have a great weekend!
Thanks for sharing and best regards from Germany!
- Philipp

-
Looking thru your postings really makes me want to make more Jabba characters.
Such good stuffs
-
Laudica turned out really well, Stan. Care to share your recipe?
-
She looks amazing! I really like the shade of red you used for her suit! The golden necklace fits perfectly to it! And the headsculpt and paint-job is excellently done as always!

- Philipp
-
They all look fantastic, Stan. Look forward to seeing pics of your populated barge.
-
Laudica turned out great.
Excellent work.
-
It so good see all of you on the boards. The work I see on blow
Me away. Starchaser, my friend, that Lautica is bespin Leia VC heavy mondified with procreate. The headsculpt is sculpt by the famous Evergrey. On Vapor that’s a rose body, heavy modified, with a headsculpt by Everygrey.
At moment , working on Jabba gunner, Christan Kai. Calling him Floppy Jabba crewman. Sculpting and casting parts take a while. End. Resculpt is always worth it. Gather part for the Weequay and On the barge and redoing Velken Terzeri!do I getting part up for him as well.
I planned on using same torso for Nibrik another Janna’s hence seen in the palace. In other note , I been also working on adimeral Motti and other deathstsr briefing scene officer, getting them all to match is key and is one hardest color matching I have ever done....
-
1 of 3 done, Floppc Hadpeak, skiff Guard who think twice before engaging a Jedi in battle
-
Another great one for the sail barge. Let me go share this.
-
Human sail barge gunner, Christan Kai, backing the barge in 2018. Next up Sail Barge weequay.
-
Wow, another great one for the Sail Barge. Off to share the update.
-
Really nice job on these last two Khetanna denizens. You have really rounded out the ship's compliment. Both characters look very much like the reference images. Excellent work with parts, paints and sculpting!
-
I can only agree. Both figures are phenomenal.
They will look great on the new Sail Barge.
-
Sail Barge Weequay, backing the barge in 2018. Thanks starchaser and FialaFerbruggfor complaints and supports as well as tamer. Now on to upgraded last 4 skiff guards.

-
Big thanks for sail barge weequay ! Closer look at him .
-
He looks good. I like the colors you used.
-
HOPE....2019
-
Your (TVC) Leia looks stunning! Did you sculpt her hair on the original TLC head or is this a completely new headsculpt?
The paint apps on her face look phenomenal!
This gives me hope, indeed, that there are ways to make a 3.75” Leia look authentic. But can Hasbro do it, too?
Thanks for sharing!
- Philipp
-
Yepper, very nice Leia. Off to share.
-
Darth More, brand new headsculpt , handsculpted
-
Respect, Stan! Your headsculpt looks excellent! No doubt your sculpts and customs count to the best I know! Thank you for the reply!
- Philipp
-
Leia turned out really well. That head sculpt is fantastic! Inspiring work to be sure.
-
Here a twist in the road, with the help of Izzymel , we develop a speaker to accommodate the hasbro Max Reno Organ, just love how it turn out. Also repainted the organ and rebo as well. http://shpws.me/Qryn
Here link if like to get one for yourself.
-
Now that is awesome! I need to go share this and your link!
-
Brilliant work as always.
Max Rebo and his organ look much better now.
-
Nice job on the Rebo repaint - he looks more screen accurate. The speaker accessory is brilliant, great job sorting this out!
-
Max looks superb!
-
Your custom Max’ organ looks just so much better than Hasbro's version and furthermore super realistic! That's such a great co-op with Izzymel! And I agree, your Mr Rebo himself looks awesome! Keep up the great work!
- Philipp
-
Yotts Orren backing the barge joining custom vintage collection in 2018!
Now this was tough one! Sculpting the torso and Goan area was such a challenge. Colors were tough as well, next up a Velken Terzeri.
-
Absolutely spectacular work, Stan. Once again, you've knocked it out of the park!
-
Looks great! You can read more comments about this on the front page.
-
Yotts Orren turned out great.
He would fit perfectly on the new Sail Barge.
-
I agree with customjedi, Tamer and FialaFernbrugg! Your sculpting skills are most impressive! You made Yotts Orren look exactly like on the reference picture! Which sculpting clay do you use? Was it Apoxie Sculpt or Super Sculpey? And did you use an original Weequay head or a resin cast?
Thanks for sharing & have a great weekend!
Man, I cannot wait until Spring 2019...your Khetanna will look most beautiful!
- Philipp
-
Brilliant new skiff guard! Yotts turned out really well. Your sculpting (though a challenge) is excellent.

-
Jess is now backing the barge in 2018!
-
Wow, another great one. She looks fantastic.
off to share.
-
Jess looks awesome! I assume you used a Slave Leia body, sculpted the head and sewed together the soft good pants? This picture knocked me off the chair. And I agree with Tamer, your Barge will look insane!
- Philipp
-
Nicely done, nicely done. Jess turned out really well.
-
Hasbro - If you're paying attention, this thread is the blueprint to a 3.75" goldmine.
Stan, your barge will be a sight to see.
-
Hasbro- If you're paying attention, this thread is the blueprint to a 3.75" goldmine.
I second that. Hasbro, do this... all of this!
-
Another phenomenal custom figure from Jabbas Palace.
I can't wait to see some pictures from the new Sail Barge with all your outstanding custom figures on it.
-
Barada, joins the custom vintage collection 2018!
This was a tough figure to get right, gun holster works which allow you to store his weapon and and has a removable backpack. This figures is about 97 percent hand sculpted. Took about a month to sculpt , mold, and cast. It has 17 points of articulation. I going take a break from the skiff figures ( two left) for a while so I do not get burn out. Next four will be from planet of Yarvin, for on a new hope. Thanks you every for kind comments.
-
Wow, your Barada is outstanding! Your sculpting skills are beyond impressive! Never would’ve expected him to wear a backpack (which I really like the shape of).
I think it’s the way to best results when you just do what you feel like. Looking forward to seeing your next four from Yavin 4.
- Philipp
-
Barada turned out great.

-
Very nice job!!!!!!
-
Really nice job, Stan. Your figure really reflects the reference photo.
-
Looks super!
-
take a break from customizing for a little while , I guess going through burn out. I got find my mojo, lol! Generals of Yarvins is not the exciting thing to sculpt. Ever figures I doing now Day take a long to put together, process take about a month for one figure. You look forward to some newness weeks away with Evram and starkiller from ceremony scene from A NEW HOPE.
-
Sometimes it is good to take a break.
-
Breaks are totally acceptable! The best and brightest need them.
-

-
Stan those two look great. Off to share.

Is is really great to see these interesting characters in action-figure form.
Excellent work!
-
It been a while since I have posted been hard working on the next batch generals from battle of Yarvin, so this should tied us over till the time .
The stormtrooper helmet is completely a new sculpt helmet, more accurate than hasbro, also I painted him with a new type of water paint to be more accurate movie color. Stormtroopers are not white , but material they use to reflect as white?
-
Your helmet sculpt looks really excellent. Kudos!
-
Now that looks great Stan. I like it.
Off to share.

-
Lastest Alan Harris , seen at Battle of a Yavin,
-
Looks great! Really loving that your slowly turning out every ANH background guy. I remembered as I kid thinking they were soo boring... Since that movie was mostly just middle aged (and older) white men hahaha. Times have changed for the better in that category... I mean would 've ONE alien have "killed" them to add to the production?
-
Excellent figures as always.
It is great to see some characters from the movie I haven't noticed even after seeing it 100x times.
Keep up the great work.
-
Looks great to me. Off to share.
-
Very cool. I like it, you can find the most obscure character, and make a figure out of it. Incredible. That's all I can say. The attention to detail, is phenomenal. I've seen Star Wars thousands of times, but, you find guys I've never payed attention to. But they are still an important part, and you honor that in a way, which is cool.
-
Another excellent job rendering a background character! The head turned out really well.
-
Well here one out of blue , Swilla Corey , as seen in Mos Isly Cantina, she joins Custom Vintage Collection in 2018!
-
Ms. Corey is perfect! As always, looking forward to seeing what's next.
-
Daggone, spot on with your reference image there. She looks great.
Off to share.
-
She’s gorgeous.
What was your base figure.
Did you sculpt that body?
-
Swilla turned out really well. The sculpting to match her hair and clothes are excellent! Nice job. I'm curious about the recipe too - looks like maybe a Camie for the base body?
-
glad everyone one like her, it acutally a camie body with a custom head, easiest custom that I have done in along time . Still working jacket On the generals and few other rebel officer.

Wow - excellent job Stan.
-
Hoth Rebel Deck Officer Rey, the body is a Hoth Rebel trooper, the Hoth use the same head , 90 percent of hat had to be sculpted including the scarf. The vizor come from Han Hoth vc , modified the lenses ,with which came from hobby lobby, with gallery glass window color.

-
I agree, the sculpt work is just off the charts awesome Stan. You outdid yourself on this one. Man, I agree. How much excitement if they had unveiled this on a vintage cardback.
Off to share.
-
I agree with previous comments. ToyFair was a massive surprise to me, but if we ever saw reveals like this from Hasbro they never had decreasing revenue ever again.
General Rieekan is still one of my absolute favourites of your modern Vintage custom figures!

-
Who needs Hasbro when we have Stan?! Absolutely love your latest creations, my friend!
-
Well, I guess I am burn out completely , so I taking a month recharge my batteries until I find the inspiration to carry on. There about 7 figures that required 100 percent sculpting . So I got put it down for a while. But in the meantime I have few ready to show, so enjoy: Lt Shann Childsen
-
Taking a break makes sense - you've been really busy. Shann Childsen looks really good, though.
-
If I tried to work at your pace I'd have burned out completely years ago. Looking forward to your return!
-
Shann Childsen looks amazing. Excellent work as always.
To take a break is a good idea. Everybody needs recovery from time to time.
I'm looking forward to see new figures.
-
Smart thinking on your part. I have seen a lot of great folks get out of the hobby alltogether by burning themselves out.
Off to share your update.
-
You're right, Stan. If you feel exhausted and cannot quite focus while making customs anymore, it's time to take a break. Everything is said in previous comments. I also think Lt. Shann Childsen looks darn impressive for you not feeling that well at the moment, though. I wish I would burn out making Star Wars stuff...instead I burn out with something else. Dentistry can be quite challenging, too. I wish I had more time to work on my custom projects.
I wish you all the the best and hope you can recover well. Even if it takes its time, you'll gain new strength and inspiration. Maybe checking back on here now and then will help, too!
Thanks for all the incredible work and fun with the hobby you have been sharing with us!
Best wishes from over there, Stan.
- Philipp
-
Thank you all for the kind words, little of update on Myo, remove the gun holster from the side , resculpt the leg using a procreate. Reset the arm deeper in the torso. Gave him complete repaint makeover.

New imperial Gunner got a great body but the head is pea size! So I replace it with older version of the head , win win situation!
-
Very nice work on the DS Gunner! II really wonder why Hasbro changed the prototype of 2011, again. It was perfect. I also like the lookout tower a hell lot!
- Philipp
-
Yeah, this looks much better with the older head. Off to share.
I gotta agree with DM, not sure why we needed a new one of these.

BIG thumbs up on your H’nemthe Onith gentlemen! It's great to see such excellent colaboration here in the forum! The soft goods look incredible (as always)! Sorry for my late reaction btw.
Kithaba looks fantastic, too! I might do the same since I got a loose (and incomplete) Kithaba in a fodder last week. So if you wouldn't mind I'd just copy that concept! I was going to make a new skiff guard of him, but maybe I should have an accurate Kithaba in the first place.
Lando tunred out beautifully! I really like the picture of him next to all the teddy bears! Great to see that Speeder Bike and the bunker in the background, too! Always great to see new stuff of the good old days!
Jaeger45: Haha your comment made me more than chuckle, mate! ;D
Awesome job gentlemen! Thanks for sharing!
- Philipp
-
Lando looks great! That would have been an easy figure for Hasbro to produce, but they didn't. You've done a nice job filling that empty slot.
-
Imperial Mechanic joins the Modern Vintage Custom Collections. Kai this one is for you my brother !
-
Man, I love these deep background figures. ;D Is that a modded rebel ground crew helmet, or a custom cast?
-
Wow, there are still so many background characters I never knew about. Your custom looks spot on according to the reference picture. Excellent job!
-
I agree, I had forgotten this one existed. Looks spot on though. Off to share on the front pages.
-
That's awesome, Stan. I had never noticed this character design before, so kudos for translating it into plastic! Would you pass along your recipe please?
-
The base of the body is made from the Imperial Scanning Tech. Since he does not have gun holster; had to sculpt a new Goan that would match his jumpsuit. The hemet was hand sculpted and molded
And cast, thank to Jaeger45 for the knowledge of first 2 part pinch mold, On original sculpted piece I coat it was a gloss finish first which later would give the helmet it shine. When casting I added to black resin a pinch of silver powder to give it more realistic look. Next up is the chinstrap which is made from nylon stop that is sold at hobby lobby( inference again credit goes to my brother Jaeger45 for the suggestion , the. Added a little procreate to finish it up. For body I had to also scraped all the imperial symbol off and the mechanical device of his arm. The body was first painted with a dark blue black with a little imperialvilot added to it, the I dry brush a royal blue to give it some highlights. This figure was done for my brother in the Force , Kai.
He always wanted Hasbro to make this one and he got his wish! Enjoy my brother ! Hope this help Starchaser... you alway be so supported and I thank you , sir!
-
Awesome, thanks Stan. That explanation was "uber" helpful.
-

Yesterday, the sad message about Stan having passed hit me on instagram, when I saw the post of utah_don. I immediately came here to compare pictures just to make sure although the sad confidence had already kicked in. It was our Stan from the Yards, one phenomenal and truly gifted man and customizer. All I knew about Stanley was how impressive his projects are - I'm especially amazed by his face paintings. Then I went to facebook where I learned about how much impact he actually had on the collectors' and customizing community - joined the group "Modern Vintage Customs" which he had also founded.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Stan's family - especially to his daughter and wife. My only regret is when I look back on this amazing thread of him, is that I didn't comment more. But that's okay, because hardly did I know how big the great community is which Stan gathered on facebook.
I came here yesterday also to leave some words, but I didn't have any. And I don't want to sound dramatic today, but yesterday was a dark day and his family lost Stan and we lost a good friend and role model to this awful virus. This is as close as COVID-19 hit my soul so far and is also part of the reason why I'm mad at the people not following the rules and take care of others by their ignorant behavior. But that's something I'll keep for other places. My thought now is, that we always have to be aware of what we say at any time. Nobody can ever know if it's the last time you talked to someone. It's so much better to say something nice to somebody not about him/her. That's why I enjoy this little community on here so much because everyone is still nice to each other. There are enough toxic places out there in the web.
My thoughts also are with you, Shawn. It's been a tough year, but this year continues to challenge us all. I'm sure nobody of us thought we'd loose a member of our community on here due to the virus. I keep Stan in good memories and I can only imagine how positive the impact he had on everyone in the community and those around him.
May the eternal light shine for him.

A great man and great customizer has left us but he will never be forgotten.

This is terribly sad news. I didn't know him personally, but I've always admired his customs. I'll miss him on here. It really sinks in how you aren't promised tomorrow.

I got the first of what will be two covid vaccinations yesterday and thought of Stan the whole time. I so cannot wait until covid is just a distant memory. I can't even begin to wonder how his family is dealing with this. Definitely sending prayers their way.

Stan had that spark..... talent, drive, and passion for his customs.

My condolences. It is hard to express anything at moments like this. :(

My condolences. His custom figures were always a great inspiration and one of the best I've ever seen.
A great loss.

Stan had so many plans for future customs. He was planning stuff many months out so he could get the details just perfect. He would sometimes send pictures of in-progress projects and ask about a paint choice, or cloth choice, or a headsculpt. I think he was just excited about a project and wanted to talk about it. ;)
I keep thinking about Stan and unfinished projects, it's heartbreaking that he'll never finish them, but really I think we all know he'd never have been "finished" customizing. I guess we do what we love with the time we have.
Stan had SO many close friends in the customizing community. And he did a lot to bring the community closer together. He was so good about making connections, answering questions, and mentoring newer customizers. I hope we can all emulate that (I want to focus a little more on that); find new customizers and encourage them, mentor them, befriend them.
Because Stan would have.

Stan is the epitome of why this site exists. Sharing resources and just general imagination and that attitude of always saying it could be done.
I sure hope his family keeps his Barge populated with his great creations and on prominent display.
