Homemade Star Destroyer
« on: November 30, 2012, 04:21:58 PM »
Hi there !

I'm a a starwars fan (when i say fan, i mean ... i enjoy it. Not like a Celine Dion fan, it's more ... ok, i guess i'm a fan, whatever...  ;D) since i was 6 or 7 years old -in the middle 80's, when for the first time i saw A new hope on TV.
And so i asked so many questions to my parents ... What it the force ? Can i paint the wall of my room in black ? This man, Darth Vader (in fact Dark vador in my country, France) why does he speak like gran'pa ? And does he smell like him ? So a robot can go in a desert without a power battery ? What do you think about the duality of the Human, is it an other kind of manicheism or ... well, i guess i didn't ask them this question  :D

So, could i say more ... I'll go to Essen next year for my first convention, i've started to collect some items (what i didn't do before) and 5 months ago, i also started the building of my own  Imperial Star Destroyer (as it is my favourite vessel in the star wars universe, 'cause it was the first picture i saw 25 years ago ...)
And i read more and more forums, as Mintinbox (French) or the force.net (where IncomT65 talk me about this Shipyards ... thanks again !)

So here it is, i've worked upon it for 5 months, and i still have a lot of things to do. It will never be a masterpiece as Randy Cooper work (as you can see in the topic of Hackcore) but i'm quite proud of it (you must knwo that i can't  drill a hole in a wall without drilling my finger)

And how it looks like now :

So now i go back to the others threads  to see all of your creations (i'm quite impressed by what i saw before ...)
And last but no least : i'm very happy to join your community  ;)

Good to see you have found your way to the yards, Marlouf. Glad you accepted my invitation. Yes, it's me, IncomT65 from theforce.net boards  :)

So you're going to CE2 as well? It would be nice if we could meet up then :)
