Good for you. You guys have the good times now. I can't even remember the last time I saw even a quarter of a store shelf full.

Got my second order from the drug store in yesterday...

Yes, we can do bad shipping & handling here in Germany as well! If the box doesn't fit, it doesn't matter at Müller. They throw it in there anyway!

The packaging comes with REAL dino scratches! Gotta love that special feature, especially if it's a gift. My first reject for toys. So the T-Rex goes back, but I keep the Spinosaurus and got him out of the box. Cannot beat 26.99€ instead of 39.99€.

I wish the shipping employees, from start to putting it in your mailbox, had some type of check process they could use so you could really figure out which person is damaging the process. Those are the people we need to get out of there. Right now there is so much annonimity in shipping that it is easier to just make a hurdle of a return process and or just bite it than to figure out and fix the problem. Course there are a lot of problems around now that are like that.

Sorry your stuff got damaged.

It's ironic that the Extreme Damage T-rex arrived in a box with extreme damage, isn't it? Yeah, I think the pressure is similar to the meat industry: kill as many as possible in no time. Reaching records of distribution and processing is the main focus here. No matter how bad the "product" is handled whether it's alive or not. Poor planet.

SmythsToys got the latest Wave of TVC back in stock from Hasbro Germany. Hadn't thought that I'd ever pay over $85 for four 3.75" action figures a decade ago...
I remember when a friend of mine returned from Paris and told me that a figure costs 15,99€ there.
Local comic stores sold them for 11,99€ here in Germany back in 2008. That was the time when TAC Wave 1 of ROTS hit shelves including Commander Gree and the Kashyyyk Trooper. Good times.

But it seems the good ole' days are back - just at double the price.

Also if you look closely, IG-11 is listed as "Director Krennic" on SmythsToys Germany.
Predictions?

After seeing some of these prices overseas I have been seeing lately. I gotta wonder what my price limit is gonna be? Still, it is  nice to be able to get what you want. Days of me being a completist are over thats for sure though!

My order arrived in fairly good condition. Only the usual dents here and there - perfect for me as an opener paying over 20 bucks for a figure. Crazy times!

I wonder when we will get to twenty a figure here. Geesh, seems awful. I might have to reset my collecting when it gets to that.

They are making such awesome mission fleet stuff. I don't know why we can't get some of this in regular vehicle size.

Great report.

Agreed, BUT I see it like this: When Hasbro do all the good stuff last for TVC, chances are there that the versions of the Vintage Collection turn out the best with the experience they gain with TB and MF runs.

One example is the latest TCW Ahsoka, which is considered even better than the Black Series version by some 6 inch collectors...

So I can wait if the result is that good!

Store report: Smyths Toys Super Stores

Dresden, Germany

Sat, Oct 9, 2021

LEGO on sale at the entrance - still overpriced.

The STAR WARS section is still BIG!

Mando (Season 1) reduced to 10 bucks - over 50% off the MRSP of 21.99€!

They got 7 Boba figures. 3 of them are the corrected version, first time I've seen it in person. So glad SmythsToys got him. Still haven't seen the orange bubble anywhere...

 Masters of the Universe

WWE

Jurassic World

Took one of the 3 Ahsoka figures - the one that has parallel eyes, but the all look to the down right. Paid MRSP of 34.99€ for the Gateway Pack, but I'm very happy with them, especially they're sold out online. SmythsToys got 3 exclusive Sets for Jurassic World and probably is the most important retail partner for MATTEL here in Germany. But it seems they won't get any more Nedry Sets so I finally pulled the trigger.

Feels like the good times return for The Vintage Collection & 3.75" figures!

It's good to be back!

- Philipp

Looks like we have to gear up for yet another price increase here in Germany. 27.99€ (~$32 USD) for TVC Carbonized figures...that's more than The Black Series 6 inch figures cost here now and beyond ridiculous in my opinion. If TVC figures cost that much next year, I'll finally have to quit the hobby and just focus on customizing.

I hear you. I have really started to think this week about cutting back more and really just hitting the AFs that have something to do with Hoth or perhaps the Mandalorian.

No way am I worrying about that carbonized stuff either.

And I got a message from Hasbro that all my orders are delayed till at least December!
