INFO: The Quockrans were sapients indigenous to Quockra-4.

RACE: Quockran
HEIGHT: 3 Meters Tall
SKIN: Black
DISTINCTION: No Differentiated Internal Organs
LANGUAGE: Quock

HOMEWORLD:
Quockra-4 was a desert world, flat without much differentiation of terrain. It never rained and there weren't any oceans, though there were several extremely large salt flats. It would become hot during the midday hours, making it dangerous for unprotected Humans. At night the temperature was cold, and protective clothing was required. There was only one city, located near the spaceport. It was built largely underground to escape the extremes of temperature. This world was assumed by the galaxy to be populated entirely by droids of a thousand different varieties. Many of the droids were of Imperial manufacture, but some were of unknown design.

BIOLOGY AND APPEARANCE:
The Quockrans were a large, slug-like creatures. They had black mottled skin, which was very sensitive. Due to their sensitive skin, they could not handle heat or dry air very well. Though they were mammals, their long tails appeared to be almost segmented like an insects. They possessed no differentiated internal organs, and as such, were extremely resistant to physical damage.

CULTURE AND HISTORY:
The Quockrans were one of the most xenophobic species in the galaxy, possessing absolutely no desire to deal with other species in any way. To an outsider, Quockra-4 appeared to be completely populated and run by droids. The Quockrans do, however, realize the benefits that come from trading with other species, and their droids conduct this business for them.

The Quockrans themselves lived deep underground. The extreme heat of their world during the day forced them to live beneath the surface, only emerging at night, when the temperature dropped and the air was more damp.

At one time in their history, the Quockrans lived on the surface of their planet. Over time, their world's climate changed drastically, and the dry heat forced the Quockrans to live underground.

The Quockrans traded with the Galaxy, and the Empire, though never directly. They obtained a large number of Imperial droids, but remained isolated from galactic politics.
