I loved the Mon Calamari episode from the first anime Clone Wars and love the fact that they are going back to it. Those new, what I am assuming are droid ships, look interesting too. Daggone I can't wait to see the scuba troops in action. Please let them deploy the underwater Walker I have seen in the comics, please, please.
I think they are gonna have a hard time topping season three, but they sure did get my interest with that commercial. I was kinda hoping to see Savage Oppress in there somehwere, but they can't show us everything. Where is Boba Fett too?

Can't wait for it to start. I see, as should be expected, we get to see more of Fives. Hopefully he won't get killed off too. If they're smart we'll get more Boba Fett too. Hopefully Hasbro will continue to improve on the CW line. Maybe we'll get CW style Aqua Clones.

i will try to ignore the phase2/attack on calamari continuity error, because it just looks awesome , its put going to be the best battle of all season. season 4 will be better than season 3, but it seem that its going towards and end , either season 5 will end it or they will put it to season six to end with order 66

Hevy's dead though and I imagine that the shield that Echo was holding was just to protect him from turrets/cannons so I doubt that he could of survived and I don't think he would join the CIS.

I thought the same thing L.E. I think there is a pretty drastic anime difference from that first movie to the Clones we have now.
Here are some of my hopes for season 4:
1. More Delta (I know, I know Filoni said no but I still want to see more of them)
2. Lets see Oppress meet up with Maul and get into more trouble.
3. Whats up with Boba and company?
4. I want to see some TCW Scubatroopers and an underwater Walker!
5. More Wookies, we gotta see some more Trando and Rage action.
6. Waxer and Boil, what are they getting into? Some ARC armor?
7. No killing off of Fives!

wait a minute.........ok we know george is anti continuety but! is he going to destroy the whole clone wars comic book franschise by making alphas existence gone forever????reasons i come to aski this , everyones is asking waht will happen to rex and ashoka, will rex kill her , will he save her blablabla and will anakin kill him for desobeying orders, i come to think about it rex shouldnt even be there in the end, alpha was in the end of the clone wars where he (spolier alert) dissapeared with asajj ventress, there was no rex , so either A. they make him go with another company, possibly another jedi, or B they kill him off in season 4-5

I saw that... Maybe since this version of ARC-Armor was being tested, it was moved there only temporarily... (?) I mean, the comms are on the right-hands for Phase Two Troopers. (The "real" ones, anyhow.)

You're right Jay, as usual. If you go to 1:26 of JLaban4's video post you can see Rex's helmet. It looks like he's got hash marks on the sides of his helmet. I don't think his helmet is big enough to show how many kills he really has.

Ikr, I think they'll either use the Phase 2 pilots that we saw in ROTS or the Pilots that we saw in the Citadel Trilogy that were piloting the ARC-170's.

I don't blame you, they weren't very obvious, they were in "Citadel Rescue" as part of the Rescue fleet, they were ARC-170's helping the Jedi get the squad out of the Citadel. They where the same armour as the Stealth Ship pilot in "Cat and Mouse" just with a deco more like the pilots in ROTS, there are pics of them on Starwars.com.

Yeah, those clones caught my eye as well, I really want to know some of the clones names. But the thing I don't like is that they've modified the ARC helmets to complete Phase 2 helmets, I thought that they'd of kept the Phase 1.5 helmet look to make the ARC's stand out more.

I gleaned a few other things from the latest issue of Insider with their interview with Christian Taylor.
No more going back in time so we just keep going in order till its over. It seems the plan is to end it with the end of Ahsoka's story.
He also said that they were handed something by George that was "epic, mind-blowing" that we are going to see in the future.

Definitely! I could see her going rather well with Pre Vizsla. I'm hoping to see some more Mandos (REAL Mandos, not the pacifists), that aren't Death Watch, start to appear... Like Mandalore transitioning to it's rightful nature.

Well I am but one of the news presenters on the front page, but think the news story and podcast we did post was a pretty good way to ring in the new season, and with commentary by Wraithnine and Lucas Clones I don't see how you could go wrong. To each his own though 360 and perhaps next year we can get Hangarbay94 to whip us up a Season 5 graphic with a CAFN logo.
And don't forget to go check out our Facebook Page where you would have also seen graphics and stories.

The action was pretty dense in these episodes. Very cool to see this huge underwater world of Mon Cal. Kit Fisto looked excellent and reminded me of his feature in the very first Clone Wars series. Love that trademark smirk of his ;D
But it's a three-part story arc and imho that's a bit too much. Could've done it in a double-feature too, I think.
Can't wait for the coming episodes, where Anakin slides off more and more to Dark Side feelings. Is this the last season? Because if so, I'm very curious to find out what will happen to Assohka er.... Ahsoka. That's a character that grew on me, because at first I couldn't stand her, but she's really grown in her role.

season 4 so far seems overated the ad had more actions than these 2 episodes, *spoiler alert* the momment the season died for me was when i spotted 2 new armor clones in the episodes, apparently they changed armor during the offseason or were they arcs?

Visions can change, the future isn't set in stone, always in motion is the future.
Mortis was also most likely a dream.

Lee-Char was quite a great warrior for a Prince, especially displayed there... Most nobles wouldn't fight to save their life, but he fought for the the lives of everyone of his people.

Well, I wanted to jump in on this discussion.
I have been a Clone Wars fan since the debut, and with this series I'm convinced Star Wars has always been great..you just can't let Lucas write the scripts anymore.
On with the series premiere..
I loved the underwater setting for the opening story arc, but this setting did prove again that this isn't a cartoon strictly for kids. It was a bit disturbing to see all of the floating bodies on the battlefield, but I guess you can't war without casualties...even in a kid's story.
A great character point I noticed about Anakin is when he get's his helmet removed during a fight and instead of simply relying on the force to bring his helmet back to him..he panics. It's up to Asoka to rescue him. Now, this is a character defining moment, I think..cause we see his fear over ride his abilities as a jedi..something I'm sure he'll never get over.
Fast Forward to this week's episode, sad to see the death of another peripheral character, but one not easily forgotten.

When I saw that, I was like: lsab
I mean, I get your point, but this is the Chosen One. We just got a three-episode arc where he was shown to be the only one able to control the ultimate light side (the Daughter) and the ultimate dark side (the Son). And he does it with the Force, grabbing them out of the air and yanking them to the ground! Yet here, he can't even call back his helmet to him? Where't the overconfident Jedi Knight from Dooku Captured?

im done with watching the series , its over, more jar jar are u serious? i dont want to even get started with every mistake this series make just lazy writing and graphics , the 2d cartoon had more details than this. i pray that we dont get a series after rotj because every other episode will probaly be about ewoks!

oh trust me i hope it gets a lot better but this is not a truly fantastic start ,the first 3 episodes of season 3 were far better

But back to these character points on Anakin..He's a much better character in the series than what we saw in the movies.
Season 3 had a great season opener, but had a large lull in action towards the middle of the season with a lackluster season finale. I'm hoping there's a crescendo this entire season.

I actually don't find him all that annoying in the series..We've had two gungan heavy episodes now, and when you look at them in context of the story and forget every prejudice. The gungans are proving themselves to be a noble..yet formidable race of characters. Simple folk...like people from Northwest Texas.
Anyway, I agree with Revanfan..it is way too early to start unbuckling your seatbelt.
But back to these character points on Anakin..He's a much better character in the series than what we saw in the movies.
Season 3 had a great season opener, but had a large lull in action towards the middle of the season with a lackluster season finale. I'm hoping there's a crescendo this entire season.
actually i dont have any problem with Jar Jar its just they keep saying that season 4 will blow us away from the start i am finding myself very unblown thats all ,and i am a die hard clone wars fan .

It is good to see this thread so active. I think the biggest problem I am having so far is my favorite characters are the clones and they haven't been focusing too much on any of them. I can't wait to see that story arc that involves Rex. We also get to see Wolffe on a mission this coming Friday so that will be good too.

I've heard that this was the worst episode of the season. I don't have cable access, so I wasn't able to watch it and will have to wait to see it until Monday on SW.com. I like all the episodes, I don't think I've ever seen a true stinker, IMO, although last season's constant political episodes somewhat bored me. But none of S4's episodes have been that bad, so far, IMO.

the only reason nabbo is focused is because of the Episode 1 JANUARY RELEASE !!!!! so that hasbro can sell more gungans ! jsut watched 5th episode of the series and yep , another weak episode , i do like the droids more than jar jar so i can tolerate it but still im VERY dissapointed that they havent shown the change in uniforms the clones just popped up wearing the news ones , i was hoping for an episode were they test the new phase 2 armor on a small squad or soemthing and maybe see some prototypes , but nope nothing like that :(

I tend to agree with you that this one is not starting off quite as strong as predicted. I did like this episode, even if R2 and C3PO were the main focus of the story arc. I think all of the great new Aliens in the forms of the various races like the Elena and then those inside their planet were pretty cool if even it seemed they didn't have a real purpose for being there for the most part.
I did like seeing the new armor and seeing that Wolffe helm on the ARFer on that one AT-RT was pretty cool as was seeing new LAATs with nose art. I do tend to think someone needs to remember this is the Clone Wars, not the slight disagreement skirmish though. Had to use it Jay!

They've been putting the episodes online a day after they air, I usually miss them on Fri. but I hopped on sw.com on Sat. and the whole episode was already up. Hopefully they'll keep doing this.

So Darth Maul is definitely making an appearance this season. I like the way he looks, but kind of have mixed feelings about bringing him "back", hopefully they'll do him justice.

I'm afraid Maul will suffer the same fate as Boba Fett. Both were awesome characters upon their introduction, but EU has been known to really milk out their popularity. Don't get me wrong, a lot of Boba Fett's stories are downright cool, but bringing guys like these back from the dead seems redundant to me.
I'm interested to see how Maul's reappearance will play out. It can't be any worse than episodes 5 and, for the most part, 6, I guess. So far, S4 has been a letdown for me, with the Mon Cal arc being one episode too long and now eps 5 and 6. I was glad to see the action return in the last part of ep 6!
The evolving design of the Clone troopers into their Phase II armour is great to see, though. And the action sequences are still very entertaining.

Just watched the preview of the next episode. Love the design of the Gunship pilot's helmet! Reminds me a lot of how the TIE Fighter pilots looked in the old Marvel comics.

Alright, I just watched part 3 of Krell the clone killer and I think he is an undercover Sith. There is no way this guy is a Jedi. If George Lucas and company really wrote this guy in as a true Jedi then they must think we're all really stupid or they don't know what the hell they're doing.

best episode to date. it was really different from what i had expected from the clone wars. perfect lead to episode 3.

I thought it was a pretty good episode too with a lot of combat story arcs they could spin off of it plus the whole idea that clones are individuals and not mindless and Rex pretty much ordered them to start acting as such and even question orders they think are bad. I wish we had seen Obi or Anakin show up in one of those last LAATs and legitamize what Rex had done as well as reinforce the fact that Clones are people too.

I haven't commented on the last story arc.. I have to admit, I did not see it coming when I saw a jedi shot in the back mid-sentence. But it wasn't an unexpected outcome..I just didn't think it would be so sudden and cold blooded as it was.
I did however, have a little problem with Krell's reasoning. It was the whole, "If I do this..Dooku will like me and want me as his new apprentice."
I thought it was a foolish notion, especially for a jedi. I've had ex-girlfriends think that way about boiling my rabbit in their attempt to win back my affection.
Anyway, I thought it was a great storyline that sets up something bigger for Rex to consider in the future.

I'm thinking Rex is going to be a deserter. That older episode about the deserter might have been foreshadowing Rex's future. I still like the idea of him and Ahsoka going into hiding together.

Umbara story arc has become my favourite story arc, even better than Landing at Point Rain.
And I hope that Hasbro makes all of the clones from it e.g. Dogma, Tup, AT-RT drivers etc.

Rex had a lot of courage running across a battlefield in live fire to save his men; if he doesn't soon get promoted to Commander, I'll be mad... (I noticed SERGEANT Appo in one of the previous episodes, so unless Rex isn't good enough to lead the 501st, I'm thinking something bad is going to happen to him. After all, why would Appo be lower in rank than him and get promoted to Legion Commander?)

Loved the Krell arc. I wasn't so fond of using that species for a Jedi, but the twin double bladed sabers were pretty darn cool to look at. I don't know about you guys, but in the end I got this whole Order 66 vibe going down my spine 8)

at first i thought this episode was just to sell more Ashoka and shakk ti figures but wow it was awesome and did you guys SEE THAT NEW SHIP THE ONE that LOOKs LIKE AN X WING !!!!!!!! i was like wow its beautiful but at the same time little disappointed cuz it makes the arc 170s kinda useless .

Tonights show was great. I don't want to give it away but Mando's rock. Death Watch is so good. All they need to do is make more shows like "Landing at Point Rain" and add in Mando's every now and then and I am HAPPY :)

I do agree that seeing Mandos rocks. I love the dark saber that vizla has and that new owl looking gal mando is just tough.
Ofcourse I want to see these as figures. I wasn't sure about that new antenea affair on vizla's helmet, but it grew on me. I also liked seeing R2 command some Droid again, if even for just a moment.

Great action packed episode. The Mandalorians still look too much alike though, imho. But yeah, Vizla's sword is pretty cool. You think that's a cortosis sword? Or is it something Dooku cooked up for him?

Just saw the last episode with Ventress joining up with Boba and crew for a bounty. I really enjoyed watching it but...., now don't get upset guys and understand Boba is one of my favorite characters of Star Wars, don't you think they made him a little too badass for a 13 or 14 year old? Correct me if I'm wrong on the age. I can understand his shooting ability with a blaster but he was totally going head to head with that ninja guy who was a grown man. With all that said I'm glad they are making some cool episodes, and I can't wait to see Opress and Maul mixing it up with Obi-Wan.

wouldn't that Ninja guy be a cool figure for the VC line? I say VC line because it looks like the CW line is now lacking total leg articulation.

Ninja guy for the win IMO. I did like that ep though, especially seeing some of the OT Bounty Hunters, but I thought Dengar had gotten into an accedent with a race with Han Solo who would have been like 2 at this point, oh well just enjoy.
So am I the only one who felt Maul's re-intro was a bit odd, although I think the next ep looks better with Savage and Maul vs. Obi-Wan.
But I wonder if we will get an explaination about how he got where he was and how he was at all? Seems like it's being kind of left in the air to me, could be next week but could also be left. Surprized how much maul looks like SDCC Infinites maul in next week's show too.

There is a star wars infinities story about maul being a cyborg. It was done a long time ago, and it is yet again another story Lucas and baloney ripped off from someone else. This episode was total crap.

I agree I wish we had been given a bit more backstory about how he ended up on a Trash Planet and who put him there and how he got his spider body. I agree it will be good to see him and Savage take on Obi and Ventress next week.

My thinking is we may get a backstory if he (Maul) can make sense...he was completely mad and having him retell a story in that state would have seemed wonky. I think the way the story rolled on is like we are walking alongside Savage and are rediscovering Maul. Cannot wait till Friday for the finale! :)

I think that Maul's horns were a bit exaggerated and were completely different to how they were in the Phantom Menace, and I think that was one of main things that let Maul's appearence down.

I agree with you Remco. I think just seeinig Savage and Maul together is pretty daggone nice, and the whole spider body is keeping me hooked even though I think it very grotesque.

First off I hate spiders...seriously hate spiders...with that said the Spider Maul is creepy, yet kinda cool and kinda weird all at the same time. I am more enthralled by the character acting and the thought that went into bringing him back to the story. How he is completely mad and pitiful in the "Brothers" episode was seriously awesome! Cannot wait till tonight! :)

In the book it stated that Darth Maul was given to Palpatine when he was infant from a Dathomirian witch. In the story she told Palpatine that Maul had a twin brother. Is Savage Opress the twin brother mentioned in the book? I assume it is.

Well overall I liked it, my wife let me change her normal TV watching cause she wanted to see what and how he came back. When maul appeared in his cyborg body she said "Don't you have that figure?" Well yeah.
I was disapointed we never got an explaination as to how Maul survived though, seems like a minute would have been nice. But I guess that is the way of things.

To Maul, it's really confusing as to why anyone would first try to save him and then just dump him. Only thing my mind comes up with is Palpaltine but then why the aracnid like body. Also I got the impression that the tube he fell down was some kind of plasma power generator. I can kind of accept the rage and force keeping hi alive as he has said, but what or who got him out of there (unless it was plap who found his rage uncontrolable after such an event, but calls back to the arcnid body question).
I guess season 5 will give us something, I hope.

From what I understand, Lucas is calling the Darth Plagueis novel cannon and it does not fall within the EU realm. If that's the case, maybe we'll hear more about it in Season 2. I do remember his brother, Feral though. So either Feral is the twin and Savage is the older brother of Maul, or Savage and Maul are twins.

Part of me is ok with a Maul return if there can be some kind of explaination, I can accept the idea of "hatred kept him alive" but that can't be all of it, there must be more.

Cut in half and the wound cauterized could keep him alive (for a short time) as no major organs were probably hit...again assuming his anatomy is similar to humans. Only issue would be how he eliminates waste...but to characters in the SW universe use the can? :) Seriously, I don't have a problem with him coming back and I think Filoni and Witwer did an amazing job representing a completely broken character.
I am only looking forward to more Kenobi and Maul duels. :)

You said. Like I mentioned before, this Maul arc is too weird and far fetched for me. Surviving the Sarlacc is cutting it close, but come on, getting sliced in half AMD wind up alive on a completely different planet? Besides, Palpatine had Dooku, Grievous and was steadily wrapping Anakin around his finger.
The moment I really thought "oh dear", was when Maul was putting on his deranged Gollum act.
Furthermore, Obi-Wan was acting like a wuss against Maul and Savage. I'd expected him to put up more of a fight.
Part of me is ok with a Maul return if there can be some kind of explaination, I can accept the idea of "hatred kept him alive" but that can't be all of it, there must be more.
I agree though, Obi-wan went down too easy in that fight, I wasn't a fan of that at all.
I mean it makes sense that he might still be alive, it happened in the comics in a short story. He dies on tattooinne while fighting Ben, and Owen. But there was a back story as he hunted Ben...but there was never a planet where he ended up, or how he got there....
It's almost like a pizza with too many toppings, it all just falls apart and goes on the floor....too much of a good thing just gets out of hand.
