New York Comic Con 2011
« on: October 14, 2011, 03:38:52 PM »
Just going through some of the hasbro presentation today and a few things that stick out to me so far are:

TCW Republic Commando Boss

Another Slight Skirmish Pack with Cut-Up

Thanks to Curto from RS for the initial images. I am assuming we will get the high rez hasbro panel soon.

Character Debuts

About the only TESB Vintage Figure I will want is this Luke I guess (doesn't look good to me now)

Titaniums are back

I finally figured out what the ball spiny things are

And perhaps one battle pack I might get (its about time we get four astro-mechs in a pack (I hope this gets us a rerelease of the Naboo Biggy)

I heard there were two astro sets, so was only one shown?

I think CW Anakin in realistic is just a hair too late, that last CW anakin works better I think.

Nice to see Luke in Hoth Gear.

Updates Mon-Fri every week, also reviews and much much more.

yes there were some stand outs (bomb squad trooper any one..)  but it is as i feared  all the vehicles bar 1 are repaints of the original ep1 vehicles ,as a clone wars collector i was a tad disappointed to be honest yes we got rex, cody, phase 2 plus the battle pack (lets face it with the way things are going i have no chance of finding these over here) but after the very lacklustre SDCC  i thought we would be deluged ...but alas no...

the droid pack was a suprise theres R2-A6,R2-R9,R2-D2 and R2-B1 (which is too lighter blue) they are releasing G8-R3 all of these will be BAD droids but we are missing R2-C4 and R2-M5 from the line up the stands are the same ones that came with 30TAC R2-B1 (a better figure)   if you look closely there are an awful lot of repacks the Maul speeder ,both the pod racers in fact virtually every vehicle both class 1&2 are repacks/repaints the only exception is the Naboo N1 starfighter ....it seems that hasblow continues to get cheap on us (next time they bang on about tooling budgets i'll scream!)

As predicted, the OTR figures are getting made anyway.  NYCC is relatively new, so I'm surprised that they're showing new stuff so soon after SDCC.  Really makes NO sense at all.  I've seen a few images here and there on other sites, and haven't seen anything that is all that exciting.  As soon as we get the hi-res images from hasbro, I'll post them.

Thanks Pat. At least we can make short work of it with the new image gallery.

Yippeee, that Malgus is great news.

Here we go! Very excited hasbro decided to work this figure - although he looks more like an animated version than a CG or real world character but is still above par than past sith figures (anyone remeber their Darth Malak?)

Sigh....Malak - I still haven't forgiven Hasbro for that debacle.

I'll get this Luke and the new DS trooper, hopefully the Luke is just a prototype and the shoulders will be better on the production run, I only saw about 4 OT figures, the rest was just garbage...

That is a great looking figure, hopefully he will be fully articulated, i think this figure will be very quicklly sold out and resold for exagerated prices by second parties. Is there a release date yet on him? I cant wait to get this guy.

Thanks for finding this great photo! It is a great looking figure but seems a bit stylized/ agree with nDayton it almost looks like an animated version. Well I guess there is no need to finish my custom...
