That is one cool looking ARF clone!!!

I really like the color you choose for the armour.

Great work on the helmet and pauldron.

Mind-blowing, Clint, pure and simple.  Can't wait for you to get some sunshine for good pics of that RC.  GREAT work on the control cables!  Glad you posted what you used - might end up being something I sink some $$ into one of these days.  :D

Looks like a good start on the ARFARC, too...  ;D

Thanks fellers! It is time for an arf arc update but first, i did get some sunlit pics of the RC figure today so I will put them up first.

I've got a few more to throw up but first I will continue on with the arf arc figure.

Thanks, Jay!

Alright, I have decided to make a kama for this ARC ARF guy and while I have shown how I did this before, I think it's time we revisit this technique in greater detail. Now there are several ways to make a kama. We have seen Yarders here make them from cloth, pleather, and other materials with great results. For some reason, I tried one like this years ago and it just stuck with me.

I start out using an old flexible POTF darth vader waist cape as a mold. I coat the inside of this waist cape with a mixture of water and white glue. I then apply a double layer of klenex tissue and burnish it to the already sticky cape mold with an old paintbrush while applying more white glue and water. I just drip the white glue onto the tissue and then dip the paint brush in water and work the glue/water into the tissue. I repeated this step one more time with another layer of tissue with more glue and water and I will let it sit to dry for a day or less. After it drys, I will be able to peel the new kama out of the cape mold and then trim it to a shape that will work for my figure. Using tissue like this makes for a convincing cloth effect after it drys and is painted. I used this same stuff to make tarps and  bedrolls when I was into detailing military armor models in my youth.

I did get a little paintwork done to the arc arf's helmet today and got his visor painted red and touched up a bit.

Oh my, the RC and gun mod look even better in these new pics. WOW! really stunning Clint. Then the arf arc, I would stop where you are but I know the kama will make it a jaw dropper!

Thanks guys, Yeah, I have good feelings about that kama. We will see how it goes.
alright, here are a few more shots of the RC since you twisted my arm..........
I had to break out my little Geonosis rocky dio just to see how he looked on it. I really meant to weather this figure but after all the detail painting, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I will weather the next one, I promise.
