That's a tidy looking mando, nice work on the visor.....bet it gave you a headache getting it lined up right?
thanks, nah, just a bit of trial and error. the superglue accelerator helps things go quick.
Hmm I may tyr that foil trick next time I do a Mando.
the foil is very thin so a super smooth surface helps, if you are to foil something flat. it will conform to different shapes such as a model cars chrome trim which is what it was developed for. Some people use a toothpick to brandish it down. a dry paintbrush works pretty well too.

Man that mando gets better everytime i see her well done !!!
thanks , I am afraid i shifted gears today and worked on Tamer's vehicle project instead  of this one.

I had went to follow Spry's suggestion about putting the copper bare metal foil over the mando girl's visor but fought with brandishing it and kind of mucked up the job. I ended up painting over the foil with some copper paint I had laying around trying to get it smoother but to not much avail. I may strip it off and do something else.
As far as having hair like the first femando's alternate head, I had considered a removable piece to fit in between the helmet and figure's body. that way the helmet could be displayed with the figure holding it in her hands/arms without the hair attachment.

I like the idea of the silver foil,I'm guessing its like gold leaf from the sound of the difficulty in application.
Here's a couple of mine I did using different methods.
The orange slot I did using mithril silver from citadel with a top coat of transparent orange acrylic glass paint.
The green slot I used the mithril silver again, several washes with green and a clear top coat.

I can try and get some better pics under halogen lighting if you wish.........slots came out shiny and smooth.

Nice! It's like gold leaf but already has the adhesive on the back of it.

Here is a teaser shot. I had put this figure on hold because I knew I wanted to incorporate the firefly 3 pack suspenders but hadnt gotten around to molding that part until yesterday.
Here, I have just cut the belt off of the piece and now need to thin it from behind to fit closer and heat and reshape it to the bruiser body of smokin joe here. Then, I can trim the bottoms and glue em to his belt after I do some painting to it. I will probably throw one of those dynamite packs on the front of it as well.

Oh man that's nice work Clint - I was about to start work on a Firefly, but think that I'll hold off until you are casting those parts full time!

Your casting, customising and painting are all truly top division!
