I am curious to see who you guys are picking to win the World Series. I have the ending spot for the poll set for Thursday, since the Phillies may make it to Game Seven, it will end during the game. Who do you guys pick? Feel free to leave conversation about what your opinions are.

Personally, I am a longtime Phillies fan. I feel that their starting of Martinez tomorrow is a great idea and he will follow through for us, but I am interested to see if Lidge will be chosen if there is a game seven. So far it has been a great series, but I want to see Howard hitting some more home runs like he demonstrated in the NLCS. That would be interesting. As well, I am anxious to see who may start for the possible seventh game. These are just a few of my thoughts.

Phillies in 7 (At least I HOPE!!!)

Being a Sox fan, the number 1 rule is to never root for the Yankees. I do want the Phillies to win, but realistically (and as much as I HATE to say it) I do think the Yankees will win it.

I think we have a good chance, especially after our determination last night. The game plan of scoring early and not worrying about it later seemed to work out very well for Philly, especially thanks to Utley.
-
Utley's been on fire this series. Five homers, I think that ties Reggie Jackson's record. Now if only Ryan Howard can step it up..
-
From what I gather, Utley is on fire and is tied with Mr. October, and Lee is pitching great, but the rest of the team needs a kick in the ass! Im' getting the feeling that once again, those overpaid Yankees are about to choke under the pressure. Jeter once again failed to produce again last night when it was necessary, and A-rod is like, what? 1 for 13 or so?

and A-rod is like, what? 1 for 13 or so?
rodriguez is one of baseballs MOST OVERPAID and OVERRATED players. is he good? sure when he wants to be. but is he also meaningless? oh yeah
-
I can't stand A-Rod. Never liked him, never will. Before the 2004 season the Red Sox wanted to trade Manny Ramirez and Nomar Garciaparra for Magglio Ordonez and A-Rod. That was one of the best things the baseball union did, was kill that deal. Sure he's a great player, but even if he was on my team I still wouldn't be able to stand him.

Interesting thoughts, guys. Remember to vote if you haven't already.

Looks like I was the only one that voted for the Yankees,

Looks like the Phils took the loss. There's always next year. Great season Phils!
