55 inch Clint. It was the largest the salesman recommended for how far away the viewing area is. Its perfect. You ought to see a football game on it!

Thanks L.E. it was a long time coming. It was one of those weekends where I didn't take no for an answer and came home with my tv that supposedly didn't exist in the store. It was there in their inventory, but a salesperson was saving it for himself. The manager didn't like that much.

It is definitely a long story I will have to tell you about the next time we talk. Lets just say it kept showing up in inventory as being in stock and the one salesperson kept trying to tell me I needed to order it online and it would come a week later as they didn't have one. Lets just say the manager found it pretty quickly and told me his associates are not allowed to reserve in stock items. I didn't much care at that point as I was able to walk out of the store with the biggest tv they sold. I always wanted to do that. Three separate guys stopped me along the way to congratulate me. My wife was guffawing at the grin I was wearing.

Well last week walmart had all the SW half off. Happened to go to 3 walmarts (looking for something else) and notice the scavengers in my area had stripped all the stores. Hate when they do that, but it was OK this time because,  had been to them a couple of days before and none of the stores had anything I wanted or we already had it. Anyways went into one last night and they had restocked (same old crap) except for one guy. So my sons and I got us a SpaceTroopes SL31. Never had one of theses before and he was still have off!

Might have togo to some other walmarts today!

Shawn, that TV is brilliant!  I love my Vizio, and while 42" is perfectly fine, I still think I should have gone with the 47".  So I'm assuming you also got a Blu-Ray player?  Did you get a player only, or a PS3?  Just curious.  I was surprised this Holiday season to see how low Blu-Ray players have dropped since I bought mine.  I paid $300 for a Sony, and my wife and her brothers just bought their dad one for Christmas (Sony also) for $100.  Now for the next kicker... Surround sound??  IF you think it rocks now, just WAIT until you blast some 5.1 or 7.1 surround speakers!
