Very cool Darth Revenge, and welcome! ISY is getting all kinds of International nowadays!
-
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I am loving the sheer size of this thing. What I wouldn't give to have a room like yours Darth Revenge. An entire room to yourself just to build dios!
I love that Wampa peeking out from behind that snow wall. He looks like he is the only one wth any sense! Are these the VTSC snowtroops I take it?
Anyhow, great stuff. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I am gonna have to use this as a front page news story tomorrow!
-
Thanks !
Trooper are some POTF (rare figure of POTF doesn't looking like He-Man).
In fact, this is a cave, not a wall. But result isn't really good.
In a few wees (I hope before) newer itmes would complete the scene : tauntaun, second POTF Speeder, and some rebels figures.
Stay tuned ;)
-
this is gonna look great when you totally get it completed. Man some of those Hoth speeder bikes would look awesome in this!
-
Very nice Darth Revenge!! I love it! It's nice to have another diorama guy here.
If poor Tamer sees much more stuff like this, he will have to clean out his garage and make it a diorama room.
-
Must be nice to have all of that space to display large dios like this one, looking great so far!
-
Added some ice blocks on the wall sides (idea from a dio saw here ;) )
-
looking good!
-
Very Nice! I love the size of it, like everyone else I envy the available space for something of this size!! I have been tossing around the idea of making one a bit smaller but big enough to fit an atat and snow speeder to recreate the scene where Luke's snow speeder is crashed and Luke is hanging from the atat fixing to through the detonator inside. I need more practice before trying to tackle something of this size. Also like your other dios. as well... you do some great work!! Look forward to seeing more!!
-
If you have ideas/critics, don't hesitate, I take all :)(for this dio or another)
-
Look'n Good so far. 8)
As large as it is :o
Is it going to be permanant ?
I know AC Pins Dios were made to photograph and dismantled.
-
It's permanent (I know, I'm crazy ;D) and it take +/- 200 X 90 cm.
-
If there is ever a dio to make permanent, it is a Hoth one!
-
Added some figures I've just received.
Snowspeeder must be moved in the air ^^
-
Sweet. I am loving the little vintage vehicle too. I am gonna have to go after a set of those one day. I like the hangar scene you have going on up above too.
-
yep, that's what I was looking at as well. If i had the space that DR did, I would want to try an echo base dio for sure.
A few snow speeders, a BMF, the odd y-wing, pipes, Ice and snow would fill out most of the details.
I'm loving your dios, DR!

Coming along Nicely !! (http://smilies.vidahost.com/otn/wink/thumb.gif)
If you plan to make it permanent I would suggest you inclose it in plexiglass to keep the dust off.
-
Thanks for the tip Rodger ;D
-
DR, you should make some footprints behind the AT-ATs and the AT-ST... Use some drywall putty or something and build up little mounds behind them in the shape of the feet (but probably don't use the vehicles to build up around, because you wouldn't want to get putty on them!). As for getting the Snowspeeders in the air, you could either hang them or make little white stands using 3 dowell rods crossed over each other in a sort of double-pyramid shape (like making a tripod, but moving the connection point to the middle), with the rods cut to different lengths to give the speeder a turning-in-air position!
