The bootleg trailer on the FP looks like there will be no shortage of bad guys for our heroes... looks intense. My boy & I will DEFINITELY be DVRin' these, so we can skip da commercials... Cartoon Network is HORRIBLE w/ overloadin' the ads... I also am excited to see what new figs will come of this :)

Tamer, LOL. You and your ESB....DIE HARD, that would be cool to see some of those.
-
I think it would be very cool. See some of those Arctic Clones coming down some rapelle lines in one.
-
Ok I have some season 5 spoilers I just gleaned from the latest issue of SW Insiders so stop reading if you want to be surprised:
1. We are going to visit a planet called Onderon that will look a lot like Ancient Rome with Jungles.
2. We are going to see the rise of criminal groups including the debut of the Black Sun (yeah SOTE!)
3. We are going to see a major adventure for R2 where he gives his "biggest contribution to the war effort to date."
4. We see Embo in Action again, but this time with his faithful sidekick Marrock and the pair resemble Snakey Eyes and Timber!
5. "Some of the characters we have created for the show will meet their destinees." I am assuming that means more folks die. Please let it not be Wolffe.

High Quality Trailer!

Just posted that on our fp page. Time to go to the fp though.
-
Loved seeing those Z-95s. So hoping we see an Imperial Walker this year.
-
I don't want to rush my summer away, but I can not wait to see this...... DVP
-
That trailer looks awesome. Can't wait to see some more Death watch, or that battle in the republic assault ship. Also that green clone helping Obi-wan up looked pretty cool, was it a pilot?
-
Hey all,
This link shows a vid Dave previewed at Comic Con!
Cool things: Bo Katan without a helmet, Mando Civil War, and ...Kenobi in armoro? :P I want to know how he started working with Deathwatch. There are some angles I'm interested in finding more out about.
-
....then i forgot to post the link! ha ha ha ha
()rr
-
Yepper, that was a great one. Put the video on the front page somewhere. Its probably in archives now.

Look what Peakob1, Elias, and Darth Daddy have gleaned from the new Season 5 Clips.
-
They said an original Clone Wars character will be meeting their demise this season..any guesses who this will be?
Starting ideas:
Duchess Satine
NO Clone is ever too safe!! The Umbara ARC had me scared for Rex and Fives! ha ha ha ....just to be random...Cut Laquane? :P
Lux
Hondo
Savage
Pre Vizsla
What are your thoughts?

Did anyone see our Facebook Page yesterday to see the David Filoni picture that was shared with some great information about this coming season of TCW? He left some great hints about what we might see, including some more Republic Commandos.
-
Have you guys seen these yet? They are pretty cool.

Saw it! Look's awesome! I think darth maul is wearing mando armor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
-
Everyone ready for tomorrow? The long wait is over.
-
I saw it this morning. Got up early to watch it with my 2 boys. It was good. Now I'm going back to bed. LOL........
Yay its back.
-
LOVED IT! Going to be a awesome season!
-
Me and my daughter watched it before we went to the PA Rennaissance Fair yesterday (couple pics on FB of that btw) and we liked it. It was nice to see Obi finally hold his own against those two. I was kinda upset they didn't feature any Clones. Tend to agree that folks are forgetting this is called The Clone Wars. Bring on some Clones.
-
I thought the season 5 kick off was a good episode . I liked the nod to the blue Snaggletooth. yes i agree with you tamer the lack of clones was surprising but it was only the first episode. Now as far as characters being killed off i think a good few of the main characters would have to go . imo i think to get Anakin another step closer to the dark side Asoka would have to go possibly by Darth maul . I would love to see an Anakin vs maul fight . So i think Asoka , Maul , savage, would be the most logical choices . I am sure there's more But what do you all think?
-
As I have always believed The Clone Wars will be the definitive story line for the SW universe. We see that through the deaths of Even Piell and now Adi Gallia. I wish the comics, novels, and CW had complete continuity, but alas they don't. I am not a huge comic reader so it doesn't bother me...ok maybe a little. I LIKE what I saw and can't wait to see more. Kenobi with two sabers, Savage losing an arm, and Palpatine's evil smile at the end say to me SW: Clone Wars is back!
-
I did like that Snaggletooth characters thats for sure. I hope we get at least one OT nod for each episode. Daggone they have to show a shipyards or something with some OT Ships and vehicles like a Walker before this is over.
-
watched the episode online and thought it was very good i like the fact that Savage used his head horns ,he always seems the more anamilistic of the two and the fact that when Maul and Savage were injured you saw the wisps of Nightsister Magic that makes them what they are escaping . All in all a good first episode .

http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2012/10/01/100-episodes-of-the-clone-wars-a-reflection/
At the end of this new blog post Filoni states he is not ready to stop by a long shot. Of course it may not be his decision, but this might bring TCW Fans some hope.
-
Watched 2nd one this past Sat. I am ready for some clone action. liked the last one, and some of the things they did, But I want to see some clone battles

Amen. If you ask me the start this time has been a tad weak. I guess the Maul Brothers was good, but that last one sure didn't interest me much to be honest. I liked the creatures in it though. That was cool.
-
anyone notice the parralells with the Vietnam war...
-
anyone notice the parralells with the Vietnam war...
No, not really, but now that you mention it I can see what you mean.
-
when Yoda said the Jedi were there as "advisors" NOT as a combat force which is exactly what Lyndon B Johnson said about the U.S. force in Vietnam in the mid 60's.
-
Has anyone been watching? I am ready for some "CLONE WARS". Don't get me wrong, its been ok, but 4 weeks and no clones.

I know! The Onderon episodes suck! I cant wait for it to be over and see some REAL action! >:(

Starwars.com has a teaser trailer out for season 5.
http://starwars.com/watch/tcw_season5_teaser_trailer.html
Hey my name is Jonathan Thomas Crist :).
Email me back soon.
-
Well I have been trying to bide my time, but seeing the entire new series focus on one world, and to me not a very exciting environment at that has me wondering when we are ever gonna see any Clones or any of the major bad guys? They will only give us a couple episodes with Trandoshans and Wookies, but how many of this? Cmon Dave, you showed us a pic of a Republic Commando, tell me its not the only clone we will see the entire series. Ok, rant over.
-
I second that! Tamer.
-
Ok, I finally have something good to say about Season 5. This Illum episode was fantastic and I love seeing how a little more light was shed on the whole build your lightsaber ritual. I hope we get to see said Padawans continue this build in later episodes. Still no Clones (kinda scratching my head abou that at this point), but definitely liked seeing various SW Alien Races and seeing Yoda. Is Ahsoka gonna be in every episode? Gotta wonder if that means this might be the last season we see her and if they are setting her up for a fall.
-
Bound for Rescue preview. :o

-
Well, episode 10 wasn't for me. The minute I saw Mace addressing those astromechs, I lost interest. However, I'm sure Wraithnine will love this one ;D
I did like the link with the search for the infamous Enigma in WWII, though.
But it's like Chad and Shawn already said in their podcasts, this show's more and more becoming Star Wars: The Wars... Where are the clones?!
-
Yeah I did love this episode it had the right mix of tongue in cheek comedy and droid action I also liked the young Jedi arc but you're not wrong Volker ,it's episode 10 and there's a distinct lack of clones ,what gives ? I'm not too keen on all these arcs either .
-
I have to admit. I have liked every episode of Clone Wars. Especially the political fare that George has gone out of his way to include. (I know I'm in the minority, but the political episodes have been some of my favorite. Let's face it, politics have always been at the core of the franchise just as much as the spiritualism.). There are definitely episodes that I appreciate more than others, but since the beginning I have always thought that the title of "Clone Wars" was more a show about the time period rather than a description of the events that we would watch unfold before our eyes. While the episodes we have been watching lately have been more kidcentric, I understand that Star Wars is family entertainment and the younger fans need to have their share of episodes too. I know the second half of the season will have plenty of action packed episodes for us older fans going forward and we have benefited from the structure the most since the show's introduction.
-
I have to say I have enjoyed this season of TCW. I see the latest episode as a nod to the Droids cartoons, and I like it. Did anyone notice the Jaxxon, from Marvel Comics, corpse leaned up against the crashed ship? Peakob1 pointed that out to me . I enjoy seeing all the events surrounding the Clone Wars rather than Clones every week. I feel they are mixing things up and not saturating the story line with the same characters and events over and over. I also really enjoyed the arc with Ashoka and the Rebels. Great characters and great writing.
-
Well I took some time as I was feeling lousy last night to crawl onto my sofa and finally hit the dvr play button on these past episodes. Chad and I were talking about how these have kind of lost our interest on our last podcast. I stopped watching after the first youngling episode and caught back up from there. I must say I still pretty much feel the same as I did before I watched them. That being said, I do feel they aren't as awful as those political episodes, but also feel like we are just getting filler episodes that aren't moving the entire story arc along. I also can't seem to get my little gal to watch em with me anymore as, "its just the same thing again" which were her comments. I tried to get her to watch the last one with the pink astro and still couldn't budge her. I am hoping maybe Bo-Katan might be action packed enough.
And yes Spry I did notice that Jaxxon corpse and I find myself looking for those little details and EU and OT nods rather than some of the story that is taking place which I guess is kinda sad. I also thought it was cool to see them use R2-KT and bet those parents felt really good after seeing and noticing that. I can only hope the Mandalorian Arc with Obi in the beskar gam will happen next or we will get to see Gregor.
-
I for one am a great astromech enthuisist, and the last two episodes have been great for me, i think wraith9 will probably be making the droid with a command module.
-
I think that season 5 is off to a good start. Plenty of bad guys and some different good guys, this season kinda shows great heroes can come in small sizes though I'm still debating over what I like most randomly awesome episodes or never-ending story arches.
-
I'm probably apt to agree with Tamer, none of these episodes have been terrible (like the horrific political disaster of episodes) but they are lacking the narrative quality and power of many of the previous episodes. Remember when we had awesome episodes like Ryloth, the Zilo Beast, The Return to Geonosis, The Birth of Savage, The Mortis Trilogy, and Umbara? Those sorts of magnificent episodes have been missing from this season. I'll grant that I've been entertained by the Onderon Rebels episodes and the premier with Maul/Savage and Adi's death, yet even those could have been done better. I've always been one of the CW's strongest supporters who was willing to go to bat for it against any haters, however, I'm beginning to lose interest in the show, which I used to count as a powerful piece of the overall SW narrative and one of my personal favorite aspects of SW. We need more Clone Wars and less tongue and cheek satirical episodes.
-
I appreciate how everyone is willing to share their points in a non-argumentative manner. I think all are valid.
Clone Crazy definitely has a point with the satirical episodes as far as I am concerned.
-
i think that apart from slight discrepancies over who likes what episode ,we basically all agree that we need more war based action ,on a different note i have noticed that all the episode listings i have seen all stop at 16 and considering there tends to be about 22 episodes in a season i find that odd.
Blake, don't forget mate those customs are on their way to you .
-
Thats a good point too Jay. I wonder what that means?
-
Definitely need some clone story arcs. I get the importance of all these different stories and angles, but there is sooooo much that can be done with the variety of Clone legions and trooper types.
Jabiim....just saying..if we ever have more episodes in phase I armor (however unlikely) that would be epic. Seeing the first AT ATs.
-
I have hated the CW episodes this season. I have always supported CW but they have just ruined it this season. I am very, very disappointed. I really want to see some clones! When i saw the preview with Gregor i was like, H***L yeah!!!!!! But now i realize that they have turned The "Clone" Wars into Piece of Crap Wars, because honestly this show is now crap and i will not keep watching it if it is this bad in the future! I want to see some FRAKKIN CLONES!

check this link out its a sort of recap ...but pay very close attention to the last 10 seconds of it ...very close attention.
-
interesting, I may have to tune in.
-
Hey we finally see our first Clone Action today! I liked Gregor, hopefully we will get to see him again. Tough odds there at the end though.
-
Cool video Jay. I put it on the front page. Maybe I didn't watch close enough, were you meaning the Lost Child?
-
yep maybe Ahsoka is slipping....away from the light...
-
yep maybe Ahsoka is slipping....away from the light...
Hmmm...perhaps it is signalling the end of one padawan then? That was a great synopsis video, thanks for putting me onto it.

you are most welcome mate
-
Finally we saw a clone in action again and a Republic Commando at that! That was pretty cool to see and I'm glad this particular story arc is now over. I still watch every new episode, but I mostly watch it while doing something else.

Tamer, we're talking about a Clone that's one step lower in awesomeness than an ARC Trooper, which is basically a one man army. I'm sure he'll pull through. Cool helmet design. I wonder what those marks mean.
-
Remco, those marks on his helmet were actually a nod to one of David Filoni's favorite hockey teams, namely his favorite team's goaley.
It was pretty fun for me to talk about this past week's TCW Episode and then hear Stephen Stanton talk about our comments later. He is the voice of the small ittle Colonel as well as Tarkin for this series. It was pretty unanimous amongst the site heads that were on that we weren't necassarily over enthused with this season, but liked seeing some Clones and action in a series called The Clone Wars. I am seriously thinking about seeing if we can get him on for CAFN when we do an end of season review to hear him talk about his thoughts of the story arc for this season.
-
I just put up a cool SW Hangout Video on the front page. Evidently Pablo Hidalgo is getting some of TCW Cast Members together, including Filoni, to talk about this past TCW Episode. They also give some hints on future shows:

That would be a cool idea RE - Stephen Stanton, especially as Tarkin has a big role in the upcoming Ahsoka finale arc, apparently.
-
Well, episodes 15 and 16 were just terrific. Made up for that boring astromech arc quite a bit. And some pretty intense developments as well. I hope this sets the stage for the final episodes of the series. The way Sidious came into play was most impressive. His opponents were just toys for him! And I just love Visla's female companion. Wouldn't mind getting a figure of her! Or making one using Clonehead's awesome femando armour set ;D
-
yes, I thnk they have really been giving older fans what they wanted to past two episodes. It does sound like we aren't done yet.
-
WOW! What an entertaining episode! This episode is a must watch! IT WAS AWESOME!
-
I just caught up with the three last episodes in two watching sessions. Color me impressed. Although the clones were surprisingly missing from the episode, there was some great plot points and characters to be seen here. As well as new looks for vizsla and the mandos, paint wise, and helmet wise for vizsla and Bo Kat an. Lots of cool explosions and deaths made things interesting as well.
I enjoyed this palpatine fight a lot more than the one with Yoda in ep3.

WARNING - POSSIBLE SPOLIER!!!!!!!!
-
So thats the bad girl. Who is that?
-
Barriss Offee.
-
i dont believe it is ,i think that would too obvious ..
-
She is no match for young skywalker.
-
Yeah, she might get the better of Ahsoka, but if that is who it is I would think Anakin would mop the floor with her. I would also be surprised if that is her that she got the better of Ventress too. Guess we will see on Saturday. Wonder if that will be our last episode?
-
well, I had heard it was a 4 episode arc. Will saturdays be the 3rd?
-
well, I had heard it was a 4 episode arc. Will saturdays be the 3rd?
Hmmm, I thought so too. I might be wrong.
-
Itll be the fourth.
-
I know there were only 20 episodes for this season instead of the normal 22. I remember reading somewhere last night that Pablo Hidalgo has the reason for that and said he was gonna put it in his blog.
-
A recent screen shot getting around shows Barriss fighting Anakin in a lightsaber duel so it's pretty hard to see how it's not her and S5 in 20 episodes not the usual 22.
-
the best thing to come out of that whole arc was the massif handler and those temple guards, in the EU bariss ended up being killed on felucia in order 66 , in a comic i believe, i dont like all the canon shuffling going on
-
Well I just got caught up on the latest episode. Have to agree with Helix88 on the value of this in the overall scheme of things. Guess they had to give Ahsoka a good reason to walk away. Kinda wondered if seeing her go down the steps was the last we will see of TCW. Hopefully not as I know they already have another season voiced. I guess its in Disney's hands now.
-
The action in the last quarter of this season made up for a lot. But the Jedi Council's actions were portrayed in a poor manner. I mean, they just looked at the evidence, which piled up in such staggering amounts, even a blind space slug could've seen Ahsoka was being framed. For being the wisest beings in the galaxy, I expected them to look beyond what was in front of them, you know.
It would've been interesting to see what would've happened if Anakin hadn't found out about Barriss in time. What if he found out days or weeks after Ahsoka's execution? Man, that would've really ticked him off!
Letting Ahsoka walk away instead of die is a pretty smart move by the creators. That way, Ahsoka is free to do and go as she pleases, out of our sights. I can already see the countless EU stories on the horizon. Which is cool, don't get me wrong. She's turned into quite an interesting character and I've seen some awesome fanfic takes on her development as a Jedi, but also as a Sith.
Plus, with Ahsoka out of the picture, the story can focus on Anakin's tale towards the events iin ROTS. Will we get to see more interaction between Mace and Anakin? Or what happened on Cato Nomedia (or what's it's called)?
Lots of ups and downs this season, but overall satisfactory.
-
This recent arc has inspired me to give Tarkin a bigger role in my Tales From The Clone Wars comic. He was so deliciously evil in this!
-
Well looks like TCW is over:
http://www.jedinews.co.uk/news/news.aspx?newsID=10825
-
I was afraid of that. I will have to ask Tom Kane next month if he knows the fate of those un aired episodes when I see him at comicon kc.
-
Looks like the Disney acquisition was a poisoned chalice for the clone wars ,I mean if they are prepared to kill off a very popular tv show and a show that has an ardent following makes no sense ,I now firmly believe that the Disney acquisition of lucasfilm coupled with Hasbro's ineptitude will see the demise of our beloved franchise .time to batten down the hatches folks ...a storms coming.
-
I don't think Disney was gonna allow a TV Series that wasn't on their own station.
-
I'm pretty sure the CW will continue and be on Disney XD forcing those (like me) who dont subscribe to that channel to purchase it just for that show.
-
I really do hope that at least another season does happen as it'd be good to have Maul being played by Sidious one more time and then see his end as well as a focus on the Clones and their relationship to the Jedi leading up to Order 66.
-
I have a bad feeling about this......
-
http://m.uk.ign.com/articles/2013/03/11/star-wars-the-clone-wars-ends-as-an-ongoing-series-while-detours-is-delayed
Looks like they've killed it - perhaps a couple of straight to DVD release and it's done?
-
Yeah, well the preview shown here looks pretty BA to me. Gotta turn on the Sithfire sign, because he's definitely gonna want to make those swirly headed Jedi in realistic form :D
http://starwars.com/news/a-new-direction-for-lucasfilm-animation.html
-
Shame, the show had a great run. And at least we have a little more to look forward to, whatever form it takes!
-
Does that announcement mean a season six happens and is the final season?
-
I have a bad feeling about this......
I know what you how you feel!!
-
Its official:
http://starwars.com/news/a-new-direction-for-lucasfilm-animation.html
Putting a video announcement on the front page too
Looks like we might get a TCW movie or two, but I guess we shouldn't be surprised that Disney is doing their own animated show in a SW Time period previously unexplored.
-
I was honestly a little disappointed with this season of The Clone Wars. There were still some big gaps to resolve, like what happens with Asoka (we got some payoff there) or Captain Rex. Instead we were subjected to extended story arcs about Jedi younglings and a unit of droids (granted we did get a cool glimpse of a clone commando in that one) that may have been better suited for stand alone episodes.
I was really intrigued in season four by the development of the clones, especially in the Umbara arc, but this season my 8 year old even asked "why are there no clones in this season of the Clone Wars?". Would have liked to see that explored further. Here's hoping we do get those big points of payoff somehow. That clip did look fantastic.
Also was anyone else hoping a follow on animated series after the Clone Wars would follow the development of the younger Fett?
-
Those big gaps could be resolved soon......according to Filoni,Plo Koon looks into the mystery surrounding Master Sifo Dyas.

Wow, did you see that new helm for Fox? Fantastico! Time to take this to the front page.
Thanks for the link Benjani 1976.

I know,it's like a McQuarrie snowtrooper bucket without the bib..........as it happens I have a spare with the bib missing,i'm on the case with that one later ;D
With the built in respirator it could be a new style harsh environment set up. Early sandtrooper?
Who's lightsaber do you think that could've belonged to? T-6 jedi shuttlecraft.....this is getting interesting.
-
this so reminds me of the scene in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" when they find Flight 19 .
-
Looks like TCW is gonna start up again on Adult Swin:

Maybe that's where we'll get the new episodes.
